Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters 100-Cover Charity Spectacular

Yes, I had to make the title really long. Anyway, I figured this warranted it's own thread so here we are.

It is a collection of Godzilla's foot stomping comic book shops over and over and over again, but it goes toward a good cause and I think you should get it whether you think Kingdom of Monsters has been disappointing so far or not.

Personally my favourite you can see in this book is...

Not just because it's more than Godzilla's foot, it goes well with the other solo monster covers Frank has been doing (minus the apocalyptic background).

Never made it to my part of the UK. Pity they can't do a yearly book like this with all the covers published in that year. So you can collect them all.

Wanted to get this, but my local comic shop was already sold out of it... :(
Maybe I'll just have to search on Ebay!

The first half of that sentence can apply to anything really.

Except lately comic books are reverting back to the #1 reason the bubble burst - variant covers.

Every week comic books are available in 10 different covers. I see it at the comic shops here. And theyre $10-$25 just for a different cover.

Look at the new Justice League. It's a basic story - JLA vs Darkseid. The comic is green and black ink with basically a plot that 5 years ago would've been 1/2 a regular comic and it's got 3 printings and 3-4 variant covers. Is it a good book? Barely.

When this particular comic book ends, it's legacy isn't going to be it's interior art or it's stories. It's going to be how many different covers it had.

This.

It's nice that this is for charity, but I'm not going to buy something that's pretty much useless. If I want to benefit charity, that's what donations are for.

And, aside from the individual store covers, I'll be happy to say I own every cover.

But I don't really wana buy this.... Just, meh. If I want to look at the covers of each store, google exists for a reason.
