Finally, thought no one would ask! Okay, so MechaGodzilla has been dispatched by his alien masters to destroy Godzilla, stuff we've heard before right? Well, as he's navigating through our asteroid belt (cause these Simeons were smart enough to not put their base of operations behind enemy lines), guess who MG comes across? The crystal titan itself, SpaceGodzilla. Now unlike the alien owned MechaGodzillas that we know and love, this MechaG runs on its own AI, no needs for commands outside of 'do this, complete it at all costs, and come back when you're finished', and the Simeons had only uploaded the most basic image of what Godzilla looks like into MechaGodzilla's databanks before leaving base.

Of course SpaceGodzilla's gonna fit that basic profile, which leads to MechaGodzilla attacking SpaceG. The fight between the two manages to find it's way onto our planet where they get separated. And now the two are hunting each other down. MechaGodzilla, hunting down SpaceGodzilla because its masters weren't specific enough; SpaceGodzilla, hunting down MechaGodzilla simply because it attacked him without reason. And no one is going to be standing in the way of their goals to destroy each other.

Let me tell you, even on Easy Mode the final fight between these two would be brutal.

Today we face the monsters that are at our door.

TODAY WE ARE CANCELLING THE APOCALYPSE!

That sounds pretty cool. You know I think 70's Godzilla would be cool for a secret fighter. He's different enough from all other incarnations, fast, fast beam charge, knows some rath interesting fighting styles and grapples, can fly and his rage move could be him using his magnatism while holding onto someone so that they both get crushed by cars, towers, space stations and several other metal debris. You'd take damage but on the flip side it's worth it cause your enemy takes the worse of it.

Downloadable content with one monster and one arena per pack, plus obviously bugfixes and whatnot. Maybe additional story levels to integrate both into the game better, assuming the story levels are more akin to STE or GU.

Just a little off topic for a moment:

How would one go about fars getting the rights/license to make Godzilla game? Ive always wondered and couldnt really find the answer. Does Toho Approve ideas and etc that goes into making it or is it mainly on the DEV's hands?

Toho approves everything, to the point Simon Strange even said once, I believe, there was a bit of disagreement with Toho just over the tints for if multiple players are the same character.

Yeah. Toho's very, very picky about certain design aspects. If I remember right, a lack of approval from Toho was one of the several reasons Biollante didn't make the cut in STE.

Here is my idea for a Godzilla Game.


Working Title: Godzilla Chronicles
Platforms: Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3

Story:

Story progresses through the films, starting with Gojira and ending with Final Wars obviously. Instead of playing through the whole game as Godzilla, you can play certain portions of the game as a soldier, the opposing monster or just Godzilla. After beating the game you unlock secret levels where you play as an opposing kaiju or Godzilla and change the history of the films and play off that timeline. Example: Godzilla survives the Oxygen Destroyer and proceeds to battle the second Godzilla and Anguirus and the other kaiju in the timeline. Maybe even expand a Universe like the Kiryu saga, Heisei series or the Megg timeline. As you progress through levels you unlock "Lost Film" levels like Godzilla vs The Gargantuas. The Devil, Bagan and Ghost Godzilla. Unlock other Toho film levels like Mothra, King Kong escapes, Rodan and Varan.

Soundtrack: Should be composed of all Ifukube's work.

Characters: All TOHO kaiju, no new creations.

Fighting Style: All kaiju have unique move sets and finishers. NO clones.

Yeah I think they just care about the designs. I'm not sure about actions so much. Godzilla has the most eyes on him at Toho. The rest of the monsters, not so much. Remember the G-Fest GU poster? Toho wasn't happy with Godzilla's hand position. Atari had one of his hands laying flat and Toho told them to correct it. The Atari guy had to draw on a piece of paper and fax over to Toho what he hoped would be an acceptable solution.

What? You think I'm joking? Toho themselves have said the show is canon with the Showa films, taking place between Godzilla vs Megalon and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla. Besides we need more new blood. Gigan is cool and all but there is only so many times you can play him before it gets stale. We need more guys like Hedorah, Zone Fighter, Manda, Gorosarus, Monster X and so forth.


Damn it we need more new blood. Give us guys like Hedorah.

The next time a Godzilla game is made they need to not revel everyone. Some but not all I mean come on, I've noticed lately a lot of fighters don't leave any surprises anymore telling you everyone that's gonna be in it. Again tell us some but not all, leave some surprises.

That was what rage attacks were according to the instruction booklets fro GDAMM and GStE. Or do you mean like real finishers?
