And that was his fault how? The actor, even the lead actor, has little control over the movie unless they're allowed to adlib their lines, that's normally as lucky the actor gets. So don't blaim Will Smith for the movie being much diffrent than the original movie.
It's not his fault, but around here it's brought up as one of the greatest movies of recent times/all time, and Will Smith is popular - again, locally - pretty much solely for his appearance in that one movie. Pretty meh movie, and not one of Smith's best performances. I have beefs with Smith otherwise, including
The Karate Kid, but my point is the actor is nobody to cite as one of "the greatest actors ever" - the little of Smith's work I do like is from his earlier years when he was comedy-focused. I don't like his serious acting - it usually comes out a mixed bag, with some bits feeling great and some feeling exaggerated.
