Looks okay. I really don't like the choice of music that was pick for the game.

Sorry about that. I was watching something on Youtube and I forgot that I had the same link copied. I still want to hear about the story for the game since it looks like that we know nothing about it.

As a fan of both series you sound like a hypocrite.

plus Dnate is half devil half angel now.

The new gameplay videos still show me nothing to buy this game. This whole game feels like a pointless reboot, DMC4 was fine and sold great. It just piss me off that Capcom thinks DMC has no appeal to American gamers which I find wrong.

Exactly how do I sound like a hypocrite? Pretentious, maybe. But a hypocrite, I don't understand what justifies you making this accusation. I'm just open to change.

...he's half angel, half devil... so what? It was already made apparent that this was going to be a reboot, so what does it matter if they change his origin? That's almost to be expected with a reboot.

I do have to admit, that what I've seen of the gameplay videos doesn't impress me much. I'll have to see more before I decide if this game is even worth my time.

Before I start I'm not trying start an argument

but you say that new Dante has the standards that make Dante, Dante when he doesn't. To me they have changed Dante just as much as Gino to Godzilla.

I appreciate you telling you're not trying start anything. But next time be more careful when throwing around declarative statements. The simple fact is that I have yet to say something within this thread that is hypocritical. Nothing I've said contradicts any of my formers statements.

I'm not trying somehow insult your standards for this character. But based on what I can tell, not much has changed. This isn't some character of classic literature who has decades of being intertwined within the culture. This a character who is honestly not all that old, and can be changed. Now you may disagree with me on that, and that's fine, but no matter whether you disagree with me or not we need to remember that this a reboot of a series. Thus granting them creative freedom within the universe they've been given access to. Capcom has given Team Ninja free-reign to do as the please with this franchise. If your mad about this decision take it up with Capcom, not Team Ninja.
The difference between this Dante and GINO is that unlike GINO, Dante still retain the core characteristics that make up Dante. They incorporate his iconography, image, and basic background (as far as we can tell). Everything subjective is still intact. As for how the more personal geniune characteristics have changed is as of yet undetermined. And if you still disagree with me, wait until the game comes out before you mark this Dante as an unfaithful rehash of the original. Then at least we can all fairly justify what this game does right or wrong.

That's exaggerating, he retains more traits from Dante than what they took out from what we've seen, only by playing the game we'll see how things turn out.

I still don't know why Capcom thinks Dante does not have any appeal to American gamers? I mean he is a demon hunter with a huge sword, goes around shooting shit and wears a red trench coat. How does not appeal to the US audience? Dante DMC3 design was perfect and he look great in DMC4 as well. Don't fix something that is not broken.

I Agree, but I still find this new entry interesting, I don't think they're abandoning the old design at all.

^If the new design becomes popular then they will most likely. Dante's design in DMC3 was his popular design, it appear in the most DMC media and in both version of MVC3. Capcom redesign Dante because want him to be more popular with more American gamers which made no sense since his design look fine. I don't see how this game can be a prequel neither since Dante always had white hair in the manga and in the anime flash backs.

It just makes me mad that they left things off in DMC4 with a poor ending and never made some type of flow up.

Here's what ticks me off. I never played 3 or 4, never finished 2 cause it sucks BUT GOD DAMN IT GIVE US AN ACTUAL SEQUEL TO THE STORY! I mean geez.... three Is said to take place first in the timeline, then it goes too one I think, then four, and then two is at the end of the timeline. And now we've got a reboot/prequel. COME ON CAPCOM, STOP SUCKING THESE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS!!!

Capcom had a Devil May Cry game plan for the PSP and DS at one point. It was rumor that the DS game would take off after Dante went to hell after the second game. For the time thing, it goes by this:

DMC3 Manga
DMC3
DMC1
DMC anime
DMC4
DMC2

Shut up MG, you just stated that you haven't played the best DMCs, discarded one because of someone's else opinion and you're one to complain about a story you barely know? Yeesh, you're like that guy who complained that Final Wars was awful without even seeing it.

... you've just earned yourself a strike.
You: D: .... wait what kind of strike.
Mine.

hehehe but best DMCs? How can there be a best with multiple games? Now obviously I'm joking of course but I'm not complaining about those games... well except 2 because it does suck and I've played it. I really don't know why I haven't played them yet. I guess I just keep on forgetting. I hear DMC3 was fun but difficult, which kind of turned me off but I want to play it eventually. DMC4, well Brawl came along the same time and I forgot about it. Well that and it kept on getting delayed. I've seen Final Wars and it was awesome.

What I'm doing is criticizing this because we're going back or just rebooting it all together rather then moving forward. It's like Zelda all over again.

DMC3 was pretty easy compare to the first game. I don't know why people thought the 1st boss was so hard when I found him pretty easy. As for this game, I wonder if we will see the other characters from the past games?

I just saw some of the new trailers. While it's still to early to say, I'm thinking this has some great potential. Truth be told, I think this is beginning to look better than anything Capcom has done before. Yeah I said it.

The new trailer does make the game look better and it looks like they are going for a art house look. I'm still not sure about the game?
