How appealing I find something relative to its popularity tends to determine this... so even though Gaga's music is pretty inoffensive dance pop, it really grates on me because of the constant fapping her fans do over her unimpressive work.
She focuses more on her so called "fashion style" and "artistic talent" than her actual singing. She figures looking pretty and dressing up weirdly goes with her bad song-writing.
Pathetic much?

Too bad, I was driving around town with her anyways. She said the change in your pocket wasn't enough for her.

There's an occasional good (or sometimes great) song that just happens to be a number one hit, and mainstream music is also great for dancing, partying or something to put on in the background with friends. But if I wanna experience something different that actually attempts to explore new territory and takes me on a journey, the radio is the last thing I look to.

tymon wrote:^Honestly, Blink182 and Sum41 firmly fit into the category of "crappy mainstream music" in my book. To each his own, though. At least they play real instruments and write their own damn songs, which is more than many "artists" these days can boast..
Generic, watered down music serves its purpose, and I can see why the masses enjoy it...I just usually can't stand it. I prefer music that challenges me and grows on me over time.

Justin Beiber-He's so gay
Lady Gaga-Just as lesbian as Beiber is gay
Katy Perry-Same as Gaga
Ke$ha-Here music is just about a lesbian, no wonder the cast of Victorious likes her
