I'm going to be constructive about this so this doesn;t devolve into flaming.

-I think that the rape/sex/gay jokes are going abit too far. I mean, across a few posts its amusing, but once it spreads across sveral pages, sometimes occupying more than half of a thread, it gets real annoying for someone looking for a constructive update to the thread.

-Its not as bad as before, but this forum needs to be more tolerant towards newbs.

- Sightings need to be regulated better, KWCs put up faster (there are probably about 20 or so matches waiting in the wings).

Legion 1979. Hmm, well, where do I start? I know he's got a lot of friends here, and I will probably get my head bitten off for this, but here it goes. First off, I will say he's a really smart guy, and his knowledge of the Godzilla universe impresses me greatly. His hobby isn't my thing, but he's got a hobby, and a hobby he is passionate about, and that's what matters. I don't hang out in the toy boards much, so I don't know how he conducts himself in there, but when I see him in the places I most frequent, it's ridiculous. One of the things was to stick his nose into a thread with the sole purpose of telling how dumb and pointless it was, or to make some smart-ass comment to a user with misguided information. He does it in the FMs as well. Sure, some of the matches are dumb, but like I said before, why the f**k are you posting in them if they're so dumb? Now you guys can disagree with this or not; I dont care, but if you're an older member, don't you think it would be HELPFUL to take some of the younger members and say, "No, that isn't exactly correct, this is how it happened," or something along those lines? There's no need to talk down to someone who is giving false information. They're not purposely trying to piss you off. Some people are, I will agree, but not everybody. That's just my two cents.

One thing among everything else pisses me off on these boards: Breaking down movie reviews in "Critical" and "Personal" ratings. Dudes, why? You are not professional film critics, stop pretending you are. The only rating that matters is the Personal rating, because it's in the end YOUR opinion. Adding a Critical rating makes the review feel unpersonalized, and instead leads to me rolling my eyes instead of even thinking of taking your opinion into account.

Yes, but the threads are usually for discussing subjective takes on movies, comics, shows, porn whatever we happen to be discussing at the moment.

Sokogeki is just saying why drag critical perspective into discussions where it's irrelevant anyways? Everyone knows that the Transformers movies do themselves few favors critically. If you'd rate ROTF a 8/10 on your personal scale, why does ranking it a 4/10 on a critical one matter to the discussion at hand.

Also we could spend all day trying to find where the line between objective and subjective is drawn anyways.

I get that, but I just don't see the point of explicitly pointing out your "Critical" view of a movie. Instead of grading it twice, just grade it once based on what YOU thought of the movie. To me, objectivity branches from subjectivity. All critiquing extends from a personal viewpoint. Besides, the objective score will just be the same score as the scores from the majority of other reviewers, so I utterly see no point to it.
