Plus, potential accessories will be a bit less versatile given he's set in antiquity as compared to the modern world, and so that might not be as strong a selling point.

I forget the scaling of Revoltech's Daimajin, but maybe they would work for him?

Speaking of which, Daimajin would be a great license to go after for them. Even non-daikaiju Daiei stuff like Daimon from Yokai would be cool.

But Colossal and Big Man Japan would be nice modern licenses for them. I hope some of those happen.
Yongary isn't as well known as Gorgo from my understanding. Gorgo is almost as well know as Gamera and then its a big drop off after them. Godzilla, Kong and Ultraman are the big three. Then a big drop off and there's Gamera and then Gorgo then another big drop off for kaiju like Yongary and Pulgazary likely.
Guessing that Reptilicus and Giant Behemoth won't be easy either.

I suppose it is a matter of decreasing return the more obscure they go. For me, modern stuff like Pacific Rim, Colossal, and Big Man Japan seem safe, as they weren't quite flash in the pan projects (there have been some of those too). When it comes to vintage era stuff, it depends on how well-known it is, and there's more, but flash in the pan might be a good descriptor for the majority of what's left.

Although he's technically more of a mecha, KRONOS would be another classic kaiju-sized figure I would buy. Even more if he collapsed down to the pre-nuked version. Perhaps he could glow in the dark too if they could get that mottled melting pattern down. Would be damned cool to own.

Think I'm going for the basic personally.

The problem here, is that if they did this for Gorgo, I'd likely be all in (Well, as much as I can afford). I like Pulgazary, but not sure I want color variants, while I keep asking for that very thing on Gorgo. Hell, I'd probably want a color variant or two on Yongary too. (Transparent?)

Because this figure is public domain, they have full rein to do whatever whacky colourways they want. I'm not sure how open the Gorgo people are to it, and I know the Yongary people don't want to be bothered with too many approvals.

If it's public doman, why not a complete movie accurate one? I don't think it is in pd.

I believe "Pulgasary" is copyrighted but "Pulgazary" is free game, if that makes sense

I meant the design.

"MAKE MY MONSTER GROW-"...Oh...wait, sorry, wrong franchise...

...it DID look similar...

I clearly have multiple issues, here, I also keep mis-reading it as "Pugsly" and I of all people know that's not right...

Tomorrow is the launch of the Pulgazary campaign. I will also be posting an interview I did with Mac, the man leading the company.
