Im with you, though I did spam watch the showa series too, I actually was growing up while Heisei was coming out so I guess they just never really bothered me that much. I really liked SpaceGodzilla. His look and powers were sick and his origin, while goofy and unrealistic as all hell (though I guess the same could be said about any kaiju), was actually pretty cool. I had a SG toy when I was little that I got at a flea market that roared when you pushed a button on his stomach. I really friggin wish I it had now that I want to start collecting godzilla toys. I love Spacegodzilla design and all. He's just so freaking evil. His roar I like because it's unsettling and at times seems like a cackle or an evil laugh. I just felt that he is the victim of a horrible film.

Space Godzilla is fatter than his twin. But for some odd reason, I like the guy. Previously said poorly executed, had a lot of potential. He is an evil bastard for putting Little Godzilla in his crystal jail or w/e it was lol

I like the modifications to Godzilla's design that went into creating SpaceG, but I wish he wasn't so damn immobile. The movie is fairly shitty (though there are bits I enjoy), but I'd like to see SpaceGodzilla given another chance someday. The original film is so poorly remembered, it seems a natural choice for a remake.

Of course, to paraphrase Roger Ebert, flawed movies with some good ideas should be the target of remakes, but producers typically want to remake films in order to profit off fond memories and a good reputation, and thus we get pointless "re-imaginings" of films that were good to begin with.

He fascinated me as a child. He isn't as "out there" in my eyes now, but I have always liked his design.

Considering how much he wanted to get at Little Godzilla, I'd say he was just as fascinated with you.

Hey hey hey... Let's leave the pedophile jokes out when referring to the Spaceman, he's already caught enough crap from the movie itself.

Yeah, maybe he just wanted a way to really get under Godzilla's skin, and he's more of a sadistic monster than a sick freak. Anyeay, I think the idea of him was awesome, and the execution was okay, but if done right, he could be one of the most terrifying and powerful monsters out there.

Um, Biollante cells went through a black hole and, um... No wait, mothra carried Godzilla cells into space where they, uhhh... Yeah. Worst origin story ever, but who cares??? SpaceGodzilla stands out for me as the coolest design in the Heisei series (except Godzilla himself), and he was arguably Godzilla's most powerful enemy EVER. He also had a spark of evil intelligence that directed his sadistic actions. He wanted to torture Godzilla before he killed him. Though almost immobile, Space G had incredible durability and telekinetic abilities. Add to that the fact that he's blue (!!!) and you have one awesome (albeit wasted) monster.

Yeah. SpaceGodzilla was a great villain. It's just his movie that was crap (I personally liked it, though).

Many people complain that the Heisei series is filled with too much beam-spamming. But I personally think SpaceGodzilla would fit better as a beam-spammer. Giving hell to his enemies while far away makes him into a cool, powerful asshole type of bad guy. The fact that he looks like he's smiling in some shots just sort of hammers in the point.

I didn't mind the "beam spamming in SPACEGODZILLA for whatever reason. Plus, his Corona Beam was purty.

I have a feeling he would brainwash him into being his ally had he not been killed by Godzilla and Moggy.

Yeah, then we could have a Godzilla version of the "I am your father" scene from Empire.

Other than him having the most stupid origin in Kaiju history, Spacegodzilla fills the spot of Evil twin nicely

Spacegodzilla mostly looked cool. I disliked his crystal spines which were kind of ridiculous. I also thought his roar was generic despite the origins of said roar. Also wish they'd have gone for something other than a yellow lightning-style beam which was a little uninspired.

What's there not to say about SpaceGodzilla?

He's one of my favorite Godzilla villains. He's actually a good strategist, has terrifying power, and is easily one of Godzilla's strongest opponents. I hope he returns someday, albeit with a superior design.
