Even though Gabara is just the visual representation of how the kid sees the bully in his mind, I could see him making it in a film that isn't canon with Godzilla's Revenge. I think the best way to reintroduce him is by putting it in a film that doesn't have Godzilla in it. Like a "Rebirth of Mothra 4", or a "Rodan 2".

In a ROM movie? Yes. In a Rodan movie? Hell no.

i think that gabara has the potential to become a very strong and evil opponent for godzilla

they can give him the power to go in and out of the monsters mines and soul, have him shot electricity from his hands, and the ability to grow and get stronger every time a monster is afraid after all he was born from a nightmare

Gabara would fit well in a ROM4, but I have no desire for a fourth ROM film.

I am currently writing a story called - King Ceasar: Battle for Okinawa. Gabara is in it. Ancient Japanese time period. No Godzilla.

I agree that this guy has some potential. The 'Freddy Krueger' idea could work.

Another idea I came up with a while back is that the dream angle would be dropped altogether, and Gabara would instead be an inhabitant of an alternate dimension. But the boundries between that dimension and ours are unstable, and combined with some property of Gabara's energy powers, this occasionally causes Gabara to drift into our world for a few minutes at a time. He usually proceeds to attack whatever happens to be nearby before fading away again, but solid evidence of his existence (pictures, etc.) is never obtained. This leads to Gabara being regarded as kind of a quasi-mythological being, officially unknown to science and considered a myth by most people. This sort of brings the whole 'is Gabara 'real' in the Tohoverse' debate actually into the Tohoverse itself, which I think is kind of appropriate.

^ It's definitely an interesting idea. It's a different and unique way to classify him. In this parallel universe, maybe he's the King of the Monsters?

^ Thanks. And yeah, making him a heavy hitter in his own world would be a good idea. It would certainly justify his arrogant, bullying personality. He shows up in the Tohoverse thinking that he'll be just as dominant there as he was at home, and, of course, gets forcibly corrected by Godzilla.

Really, though, I wouldn't mind seeing Gabara made into a credible threat if he ever returns. Just because AMA's script called for him to be a weak coward doesn't mean he has to stay that way. Ramp up his fighting skills and energy powers, maybe give him some psionic abilities or something, and he could easily give most kaiju a good fight. I wouldn't want him strong enough to beat Godzilla or anything, but he could make a good supporting villain, or something along those lines.

it atcually would be cool if he could make a sword of some sorts, like from the energy of his electricty

^ Like Whiplash from Iron Man 2, but better! I always thought it'd be cool if he flew/traveled in his electric form. (So he's just electricity when he moves quickly)
