Not nearly as much, since they're much smaller. And also not nearly as much since they're not being combined with animated sigs.

Being on an older OS, the animated sigs really screwed with my comp. I'm glad if they stay far away from this forum. But I really do love image signatures. They're fun little things to imagine, create, and display. I understand your point, but I'd really appreciate it if image sigs were allowed.

I really don't mind for the signatures, since everything is more clean and stuff, but, if they become available later on, you'll most likely see me sporting something Fighting game-related.

I won't say this is the plan, but I will say that we will look into signature images and make a choice or not following the forums being more stable and past the "introduction" stage.

If we do decide to put signature images back, we will be looking into a test phase and maybe ways to hard code animated ones out (like no gifs). Personally I prefer no signature images at all, but if the demand seems to still be there past the introduction phase I will be open to changing the current set up.

I've always felt image sigs detract from discussion. The focus should be the back and forth between members, not colorful (and in MM's recent case horribly disgusting) sig banners.

While I didn't use image sigs it was still nice to see some of the hard work members put into making them. I guess I'm on the fence about it on one hand it makes the forums look cleaner on the other hand you can miss a lot of creativity that members put into making unique sigs.

I will enver understand how anyone can think a normal image sig is so distracting it detracts from discussion. Seriously. More than 3/4s of the time it is just a cool-lookign phtoshopped image. There are exceptions, buit those can EASILY be ignored. Again, people just nitpicking around.

Everyone can use these forums without massive, occasionally seizure inducing images in their signatures cluttering up threads. The result is a cleaner, streamlined, and, dare I say it, more accessible forum.

If the lack of signature managed to prevent you from posting in a thread, I could see the cry to bring them back. if the lack of a signature resulted in people not knowing who you are, I would support a "bring back our signatures" campaign. But it seems to me that most people are miffed simply because they don't get to use what amounts to a glorified Internet vanity plate even though clearly have the ability to use custom avatars that serve the same purpose.

Just because you dislike image sigs doesn't mean all of us are trying to satisfy said 'glorified vanity plates' The last quoted bit was one of the most ignoran things I have ever heard. People just want to make their posts look more interesting, and overal make the post look better. Just because people don't chare yur opinion doesn't make them 'vain'. Seriosuly, sigs are so dam easy to ignore, and you are kidding me if you think any sig so far is 'seizure-inducing'.
