That's a dumb way to look at it. With the right team it can work. But with Snyder in charge... no.

Please, the reason Superman fails has less to do with the team and the cast than the fact that it's the single most boring character in comicbook history.

Boring?? Hell i actually enjoy Superman. He has some interesting villians

He's the ULTIMATE Gary-Stu. Pretty boy, invincible, super powers no one else can compare to, never kills, holds to the boyscout code of ethics...

Boring. It's a sad fact that he has the greatest arch-nemesis in comics (Darkseid, not Luthor).

I disagree, I absolutely love Superman: The Movie. Every movie since then has been less than stellar, I'll agree with you there.

I used to think Superman was boring. But he's really grown on me over the years. Today I greatly enjoy Superman, Superman II, Superman Returns, the Adventures of Superman, Lois &Clark, and have even been a regular watcher of Smallville over the end of its run, despite its ups and downs.

I honestly find Thor to be a boring character. However, I thought his movie was excelent. Go figure?

No one bores me to tears harder then The Huntress. When I turn a page in a comic book and I see her stupid costume, doing her stupid tough girl act, on her stupid looking motorcycle, it makes reading until she is gone nothing but work.

Superman, unless he's in an event (Final Crisis/Superman Beyond), or in a one-shot (All-Star Superman, Kingdom Come), is kinda' dull. But there is precedent for great stories with the character if given the right writer.

Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix) has been cast as Perry White

I like Laurence Fishburne has a actor and good to see him in action again in the past few years.

Wow. That was out of left field.

I'm not against changing the race of a character, but I've met comic fans who will be in an uproar about thia. I remember whEn Michael Clark Duncun was cast as the Kingpin in Daredevil, a total shitstorm hit the boards I frequented back then.

I was never a big fan of Superman. just seemed like a stupid generic Superhero to me.

Amd the title is obviously ripping off TDK...

Laurence Fishbourne as Perry White? This films cast just keeps getting better and better. Re-reading All-Star Superman is making me more and more excited for this film, despite the fact that it won't be like that incredible book.
