Anyone thinking the controllers are going to be cheap is very delusional.
Also if the system does support GCN titles as downloadable as cool as it'd be to see them get upgrades like HD and stuff I highly doubt it's not going to happen look at all the past systems that are available for DL did they get new upgrades?

The system can only support one controller so it might not even be sold separtely.

Mortal Kombat is different since they always end up making a new game every two or three years, the story mode left things off for another game. Not to mention games like Street Fighter, MVC and Smash Bros have a different audience. Fans had fun with Street Fighter III for 12 years when SF4 came out in 2009 and people still had fun with Melee for half decade until Brawl came out in 2008.

Best choice would be dopping the current design of the controller for something less "Apple" and something more "Nintendo".
Slim down the size of the screen and redesign it into more of a Gamecube style controller but with screen support.
Fix the backwards compatibility between the WiiU Controller and WiiMotes and make it so you may have more than 1 WiiU Controller support on the console.
Take time to go in and make sure as hell the tech doesnt skreeonk up like the lazer disc reader in the Wii and is ready to play without problem on launch day.
Kill gimmicks and just give us a Next Gen Nintendo with HD support gaming console.
Add a Holiday Bonus with he console that adds a game with the console on launch (Wii Sports style game).
1st Party Launch titles:
Mario (Platformer)
Single Player with 2 Player co-op
Legend of Zelda
Single Player (Duh)
Super Smash Bros. 4
Party game 1-4 (Maybe 1-8 with added WiiMotes)
Mario Kart
Party Game
Kirby (1-3,64, Adventure style game)
Single Player with 4 Player Co-op
