I love how the trailer is an obvious nod to the Godzilla King Of The Monsters trailer.

Vedy nice. The production values are pretty good too. Plus the taglines kill me, they capture very well the spirit of that era.

I love the earthquake at the beginning, it's very well done. Also, is that toilet paper on the monster?

Kinda reminded me of the beginning of the original Gamera.

Thanks! Here's some pictures of us working on that shot. It's easily my favorite effect in the whole film. XD

Also, is that toilet paper on the monster?

No, it's this funky foam packing material. Toilet paper wouldn't have been as durable or puffy. Or floaty, for that matter.

The trailer as a whole or the road prop? The trailer as a whole was shot in one night/morning (8PM-5AM) and then edited off and on over the past couple of weeks, though we've been building miniatures over the past several months now. The road prop was built in about two or three hours, plus another hour or two to implement the shot.

That's a lot of work for one minute.

Welcome to film-making!

Besides almost everything in the one minute trailer can be recycled in future films - hell, we've ALREADY used a large chunk of our miniature buildings to film an establishing shot for another short we're producing at the moment.

I'm bumping this to request everybody's help in spreading this video around. Did you like it? Share it with your friends! Hate it? Use it to punish your enemies! We're trying to get 1000 views before GFEST here in a couple of weeks. Less than 200 to go!

I've watched this trailer several times on YouTube, but NOTHING compared to seeing it at the Pickwick in all it's big screen glory. Kudos to all of you!

HAAA
Loved it, especially "its a cataclysmic cavalcade of chaos ".
Not going to lie I thought it was green screened onto like a train model set.
Your behind the scene photos are cool to see that they were all hand crafted.
The dead animals in KOM are a result of high powered signals sent from aliens,to awaken the dormant monsters. Animals with similar senses are overloaded from the signal &drop dead. That way much of the world will be destroyed in prep for the invasion.
