DNA...a wonderful thing. It can be used to solve crimes, study species of animals with it, and now, they can create a giant Godzilla robot with its own personality with it!
Anyway, it was a nice twist to the movie; I think it worked best that way.

I think that may have been an iffy translation. The dub has him saying "Do you like children?" which seems more plausible, even for Japan. The subtitles are probably just worded badly.

It's in the Japanese audio. After Godzilla triggers Kiryu's flashback, Kiryu freezes and Godzilla leaves. Cue that line (the subs translate it as "Godzilla's leaving").
