Well as much as I would like to see Krang, I dunno if they would use him unless they made him into a serious villain. And I would love to see that, Krang being an actual threat and have his hand morph into a ray gun and vaporize somebody.

I want to see Shredder but make him sort of like the 03 series minus being an Alien. Infact, just use that suit as the movie's design and we're good. Look how cool this look is.

Everytime I see this thread I get nostalgic and wanna hit up ebay for the action figures. The original figures, not te 2003+.

So the new live action reboot, Bay WON'T be directing! :D
I'm happys now quite a bit and he's only producing so hopefully we won't see a ton of sex jokes in this one.

I've seen this image so many times, I kind of hope this will be their new look or similar too it.

All I ask for it is to be like the comics, dark and serious but try not to be like the first movie. Use something else for the plot but do throw in an occasional reference to the original animated series but not a lot.

Edit:
Oh and I've been checking out IDW's series with the turtles and at first I was fearing they would do what they did to Godzilla and Transformers but THANKFULLY they did not. The art is weird at times but I can let it pass as it's not like Kingdom of Monster's AWFUL art that makes Liefeld look like Alex Ross, oh yeah I went there. The covers or at least the first couple have this weird theme of grinny weird and show their teeth in a weird way but onto the series itself. First, THANK YOU GOD for having Kevin Eastman write the series, THANK YOU! Second even though I mentioned it, THANK YOU FOR ART THAT'S KIND OF GOOD. And Third, THANK YOU FOR THE RED MASKS! Also for not making it TOO silly like the 80's cartoon series was. But the comic itself, it's a nice little blend of the Mirage stuff and the 80's and 03 series put all together into one nice blend. We've got our references to the 80's series(Krang is mentioned), we get too see some references to the 03 series and we get to see it reference the Mirage stuff as well. It's all a nice blend of all three but at the same time it's a new story but with characters and elements we know. I love it and can't wait for it to go into trade THAT ISN'T 4 ISSUES LONG!

Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls, Battle: Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans) might direct.

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=87083

Battle: Loas Angeles was okay, I found Darkness Falls and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning to be awful. Bay is only the producer of the film, he will have nothing to do with any direction of the film.

Liebsman hasn't made a good movie yet. BLA had its moments, but I don't think I'll be watching it again. I'm not exactly optimistic about Wrath, but I'll give it a shot.

I hope the best for this, but ever since it landed in Platnum Dunes lap, I've been uneasy about it.

I don't think I will watch Battle: LA again neither unless it's on FX. I never saw the Clash of the Titans remake and I doubt the sequel will be any better from what I've been told.

I liked the Clash of the Titans remake, one of the few who did... An i look forward to ''Wrath of the Titan's'' it looks fun... Time will tell though.. Haven't seen Battle of L.A. but i heard it was horrible. So unless it comes on T.V. i wont be watching it...

I dunno how i feel about this yet... i'll make my decision on Liebsman being director after i see Wrath of the Titans.

I grew up with the 1st live action TMNT movie, & I still love it to death, because its pretty much stuck closer to the original comic book series, being darker, more violent, & lets not forget the turtles, especially Raphael, swearing. It wasn't until shortly after did I hear of the 1980s cartoon series, & I also enjoyed it as well. As for the other two live action movies, Secret of the Ooze, I like it, not as good as the 1st, but still fun to watch. TMNT 3 is just horrible, that's all I'm going to say about it. The 2003 show I really enjoyed, and I thought it was a bit better than the 1980s cartoon. The animated movie, I thought was pretty good for what it was, it just needed a little more. The new comics being done by IDW, so far I think they're doing a fantastic job with em, I love how they pay tribute to both the original comics, as well as the 1st live action movie. I also like the new villain Old Hob, & I also love the fact that Baxter Stockman is in it, & I believe Krang as well. I can definitely see that they are getting us set up for the Shredder to make an appearance, in fact we see him in a flash back, so he's going to show up sooner or later. As for the upcoming reboot, I'm all for it being live action, and I do hope they bring characters that never were in the previous movies, like Baxter Stockman, Krang, the Triceratons, etc. so hopefully this reboot will turn out good. One last thing to say: COWABUNGA!!!!

Jonathan Liebesman's name being dropped as a possible director for the TMNT reboot doesn't exactly make me that excited about the prospects of the film being one that reinvigorates mass interest in the TMNT brand. His films, in my estimation, have been very mediocre.

*sigh*

Holy Grail of TMNT comics. Even more popular then the first issue, or anything signed by the artists/creators. Ive only seen this issue for sale THREE TIMES on eBay, once for $30, once for $60. I snagged it in a lot for $14.

In this issue, Ninjara (wolf girl) and Raphael break up. It was a 30+ anthro-romance.

If you're estimating mediocre, I think you're rounding upwards.

I think I'm making a judgement rather than rounding upwards ... or even downwards.

I thought you were bullshitting until I read this.

I really hope Bay just sucks at picking the words he uses. I really really hope he wasn't being literal. Maybe if the ooze that mutated them was alien in origin it might be an interesting idea (it's a big might), but don't alienate who the Turtles are.
