I would like to see a mix of American actors with Asian actors. IMO, Japan needs to be involved in the story line.

I like Christian Bale, but he'd have to stand on a crate of acting books to kiss Bill Murray's ass.

Seriously, though. Murray can give a killer dramatic performance, or be the comically sardonic guy who plays the Ian Malcom-type character razzing the ineffective military as they launch yet another plan that's doomed to failure in the face of the G-man.

Sounds awesome to me.

As an Office fan as well as a Godzilla fan, I agree with this.

Come to think of it...I'd really like to see the Steve Martin character brought back. Say what you want about Americanization, but Raymond Burr talking into that tape recorder made for some cool dramatic dialog, and his status as a journalist made the somber one-liners seem understandable, not overly cheesy as they would have been coming from another kind of character.

"This is it George...Steve Martin signing off from Tokyo, Japan."

Though seriously, I don't think it would be the same bringing the character back since Raymond Burr is actually dead.
