Voila, was that so hard NECA? Looks great now (minus the beer gut), seems like they made the eyes smaller by 10%, with much better eye paint apps.

I think if anyone's "riding" NECA it'd be you, that is, if we were looking at this topic in black and white. Then I guess you could say I'd be doing the exact opposite. I'm not going to puppy-dog praise them for doing what should've been done originally.

They fixed the figures errors (errors that, judging by their 62 release, shouldn't have been a problem from the getgo), so I congratulated them by saying, "Looks great with much better paint apps".

I’m happy that we’re getting a new Godzilla. I just hope it turns out as good as goji62 and we get more; like a goji68 or g2k. I wish they would of jumped on gvk for the upcoming movie instead of sleeping on it but maybe it’s for the best. Playmates made a pretty cool King Kong 2005 toyline. Hopefully, we’ll get something neat out of it and not the same stuff jakks was doing.

This thread is pretty dead With the lack of news.
And since the custom thread only has like 3 people who actively post in it (mostly me) I thought I’d post two of my Customs here. Sorry for the image wall in advance.
Custom Figure: NECA Godzilla 2019 2.0!
Complete with more teeth, newly repainted eyes, completely altered Neck and head articulation, altered Waist articulation, adjustment to the size of the spines, and an all new paint scheme that uses a brown Wash! Head and Neck articulation has been reworked Completely! Doubly barbel joints for both. Allows for a large range of motion. Still can’t look Completely straight up, but it still Far exceeds its original range. Only limitations are the spines on the back. If those where to be removed entirely. It would be able to look upwards completely

Custom Figure: Neca Godzilla 1955. Using the 54 as a base. I almost completely resculpted The head, slimmed it down a bit and modified the existing spines to make them match the 55 spines. It’s not 100% but I think i got it pretty close. With what I was working with
