Call me a cinemassacre boomer but I liked these more when it was just James talking earnestly about these movies. Seeing the Day 1 video and being greeting by one of the rental review guys and a sponsored segment, I knew exactly what I was in for.

That's just most Cinemassacre content these days. I don't mind the Rental Review guys as much (they're so much better than Mike) but I definitely miss the "narration over film clips" style that older Monster Madness videos had. Even the 2017 and 2016 ones felt like that.

Like I said, I have no problem with most of the Rental Review guys and I'll still watch this but it's definitely not Monster Madness, to me at least.
