Mortal Kombat General 2.0

In terms of guest fighters there's quite a few runner-ups and think that they'll be more promotional ones like how Joker and Terminator was along with popularity which Spawn was a result of being the most demanded guest character for years.

Candyman: To promote movie next year
Doom Slayer: Due to being teased by Ed Boon and resurgence in popularity.
Michael Myers: To promote Halloween Kills
Rambo: To promote Rambo: Last Blood
Pennywise: To promote It: Chapter Two

There's also going to be an original Mortal Kombat character in the new movie in 2021 and given the amount of DLC and it running probably up to or almost to that time I'm certain we'll be getting said character.

That said I'm going to throw in the bone and say these are my predictions so far.

Its either sticking to just Terrordrome or a horror fighting game consisting of public domain characters like Dracula, Krampus, Frankenstein's monster and various cryptids like Bigfoot, Jersey Devil and such.

I think they're sticking to guest characters that can speak, so Michael Myers is out. I can't see them adding Freddy again and Chucky is out, so I can't see any more horror characters being added.

Ummm Jason? He was in MKX.

Also again Halloween Kills is out next year and given the run this DLC is given the 19 slots and likely to keep going next year perhaps up until the new Mortal Kombat movie in 2021 means we'll probably be getting Michael Myers. He's one of the most iconic slasher characters and timing is perfect to promote his movie.

I think Pennywise's chances are dashed unfortunately given Joker. Its still possible but I doubt they'll add two clown themed characters and being pass It: Chapter Two by the time other DLC is revealed without given there won't be anything to promote.

Shame because he would of had a really creative moveset such as the scythe arms and such. Plus his fatalities possibility being him exposing his opponent to the deadlights and turning into his spider form before proceeding to kill him/her.

In that case you have nothing that proves they're not putting an silent character in so Michael Myers is still possible.
