Not bad but when its lips move and you see those teeth it really makes it an ugly looking suit. I do like how they tried to make it look more like an actual gorilla

I personally prefer it over the 62 design because it's more ape-like and it fits the cartoonish nature of the film, I honestly wish he looked like this in 1962.

I'd say the suit is just bad looking rather than awful like in KKvG. The face looks stiff as hell and the eyes are silly. Although I think the goofy eyes are intentional since this was based off of a cartoon.

He reminded me of Pac-Man because of his massive head that seemed to swallow up his body, the weird scary lookin eyes didn't help matters either... I much preferred the 62 suit, it felt more, serious(?) and proportionate.

The Escapes suit came across as more cartoony/comedic than the '62 suit to me, which appears intentional by Toho. Kong's physical antagonist in the film, Mechani-Kong, reflected this approach as well.

As a kid, I preferred him over Kong 62' honestly. I don't think I'd seen Kong 33' yet and my only experience with giant monkies was 62' but he freaked me out a little
