Not wanting to give his opponent a chance to capitalize on his downed state, Gigan turned his head and quickly unleashed a cluster ray towards Gamera’s head. Incidentally, Gamera released his second fire ball at the exact same time, and the two attacks collided in midair, creating a flash of white light that blinded everyone on the battlefield.

Gigan, though disoriented from the flash, took advantage of the occurrence and blindly took off into the air once again. As everyone’s vision recovered, Gamera scanned for Gigan’s body, only to hear the cyborg drop down behind him. Turning to face him, the reptile recieved a scythe wound directly to his leg, causing him to collapse in pain.

Gigan once again stood with arms spread, and the two slots on his chest opened up again, preparing to slice his downed foe into ribbons...

Anguirus' first instinct was to dig his feet into the ground and refuse to be dragged along. What kind of coward ran from a fight? There were three of them, after all, and they had armor, and horns, and those incredible blades the metal creature had somehow pulled out of its wings. All they had to do was stand their ground and refuse to give up, and it was inevitable that they... that they could... maybe...

He released an explosive snort of disappointment, sagging and submitting to the urgings of his allies.

The absolute best case scenario (and it killed him to admit it) was that they might take down one or two of the weakest dinosaurs before the stampede beat them into red mush.

He fixed the smirking Gororo and his pathetic craven sidekick with a glare that promised a dark future, and then turned and barreled reluctantly after the others, scrambling up the hillside toward the tunnel as a lunatic rainbow of impossible explosions lit up everything around them.

The Dinosaur Kingdom
Aroro lead the way up the incline with Anguirus hot on her heels. The metal creature mean while, had taken to the sky and was dodging incoming attacks as it flew back up to the cave entrance. As she ran, she looked off to the side and saw the stampeding mass of dinosaurs was closer now much closer. Which also meant their aim was getting better. Rather than the whole area being bombarded, the projectiles were becoming more and more focused on their location. She then felt a rumbling sensation though her feet, which pulled her attention to the ground beneath her. To her horror, she saw cracks spider webbing their way across the rocky surface. The cliff was becoming unstable and going to collapse soon. She called to the male, urging him to go faster

As they neared the cave entrance, Aroro spotted the metal creature, who was leaning down to pick something up. A small figure... a human? What was it doing here?! As Aroro wondered that, one of the incoming projectiles struck her in the side, under her armour. She yelped in pain, almost falling over but instinct overrode her injury and she pushed on. Soon she was at the mouth of the cave, which also seemed to be becoming unstable. She ran inside and waited for Anguirus. The male was soon next to her and, not wanting him to worry about her injury, she barked at him to keep going. He seemed hurt by her harsh tone, so she gave him a quick smile and promised she’d be right behind him. “I’m not letting an elite male get away from me that easily” she said with a wink. She wished she had time to savvier the look on the male’s face, but thankfully he did as she asked and moved up the tunnel after the metal creature. She had to make sure they had as much time to get away as possible. Aroro lowered the front half of her body, lifted her tail high, then swung it with all her might into the cave wall. Her strike was the final nail in the coffin of the caves stability’s, almost instantly the area around her began collapsing.

As she began to run Aroro felt her strength fade. She was still healing from the injury Godzilla had dealt her and with her new wound, she was in no condition for her current predicament. Yet she pushed on, because she had no choice and... and because Anguirus was waiting for her. She promised she’d be right behind him. He’d come to a strange land and battled Gororo for her, she’d never be able to rest in her grave if she didn’t show her gratitude to him. She kept going, even as larger and larger pieces of the roof fell on her. When the tunnel became half full of broken rock and dirt she began burrowing her way through.

She kept going until at last she was beyond the collapse. She had made it, it had taken everything she’d got but she’d made it. She had barely enough stamina to walk at an even pace, but she’d keep going until she saw Anguirus again.

Fukuoka
Chidako picked herself up from the ground, her mind ignorant of the pain her body was in. She was, in that moment, consumed with fury. Ever since she’d come to the surface, she’d been beaten by the monsters of this land. The spider, the robot and now this dame turtle! She would have her revenge for these insults! Running on anger and instinct, she charged at Gamara. Mechagodzilla’s missiles exploded around her but she ignored the injuries they caused. In fact they inadvertently gave her cover, allowing her get in close and drive her nose horn right into turtle monster’s leg.

Arrow was in an equally ill tempered mood. He staggered to his feet and looked round for that silver abomination. As soon as his eye’s locked on Mechagodzilla, Arrow began running as fast as he could toward it. Thankfully it was distracted with attacking the other monsters, which gave the allosaur the time he needed. Once in range, he jumped forward and brought his full weight crashing into the robot and clamped his jaws down on it’s shoulder.

Gamera howled in pain from the slash and Chirako's horn before quickly overcoming the pain and preparing his counterattack. Upon seeing Gigan spreading his arms to fire his disks again, Gamera grabbed Chirako by the horn and leg and used her as a meat shield! The disks would slice through Chirako while leaving Gamera unharmed, who would then heave Chirako's injured body at Gigan, sending them both crashing to the ground with a quaking thud. As Gigan struggled to get Chirako off of him, Gamera began to charge another devastating fireball...

Meanwhile MechaGodzilla's radar alerted it to the incoming Arrow and promptly turned it's entire body 180 degrees so it was now fully facing the incoming allosaur as he bit down on the robot's shoulder. Arrow's teeth would find themselves unable to penetrate this metal, even combined with his jaw strength. It seemed as though this alloy possessed some supernatural strength not found in any earthly metal. In response to this attack, MechaGodzilla locked it's right hand into firing position and hovered it just below Arrow's soft underbelly and fired at near-point blank range. The explosive power would be devastating, sending Arrow crashing to the ground with flames and smoke on the areas where the missiles hit. MechaGodzilla then raised it's left arm and aimed both hands at the downed Arrow....

Gigan struggled under the weight of the humongous dinosaur, shoving its heavy body off of him, right as he noticed something glowing from within Gamera's jaws. The alien wasn't about to let this reptile hit him with yet another fireball. He extended his arms towards Gamera, firing two grappling hooks from each of his scythes, two of which wrapped around the gargantuan turtle's mouth, while another pair encircled his arms. The cyborg beast shrieked with enthusiasm seeing his plan work so wonderfully. He started wrapping his cords around his own scythes, dragging Gamera closer to him.

As the turtle struggled to free himself, Gigan activated the buzz saw on his chest once again, which roared to life as it spun rapidly. The alien terror chirped in laughter as he dragged his now worried foe closer and closer to the waiting blade of his buzz saw...

Missingno. wrote:Fukazawa was looking out the window when Mitzuki directed her question to him. He turned his head to meet the pilot, trying to hide his evidently anxious state of mind.

"It's a bit of both, to tell you the truth," he laughed. "To learn I'm being promoted, as well as specially designated to assist in a JSDF deployment? It's crazy! It won't effect my performance as it stands, however."

Now directing his attention to Hidachi, Fukazawa decided it was finally time to suck it up and break from this shell of his. If he was to truly go through the ranks, this would be where it began.

"So what exactly did it take you and your crew here to get to be tech the specialists you are? It's very interesting to me how the world is rapidly changing around us, masers replacing tanks, airships replacing jets; all from the collaboration of the greatest minds here in the JSDF and abroad! I don't mean to sound childish about it, but it's somewhere I'd like to see myself one day."
“I know this will sound incredibly cliché, but hard work and devotion to your cause are the biggest factors in climbing the ladder here.” Hidachi replied, opening his eyes to focus on Fukazawa. “Hell, the same can be said for any line of work, really.”

The captain motioned over to Ryu, “You see lieutenant Yamane there? He came from a life of poverty and several unfortunate circumstances. But, he didn’t let that stop him” Hidachi shook his head, “No, no he possessed a drive and a hunger very similar to your own, Fukazawa; Yamane wanted to make something of himself and help make a real difference in the world. He started from the very bottom of the JSDF, and quickly shot up the ranks. Now, Ryu is the youngest but most skilled and talented lieutenant of the JSDF.” Hidachi turned to Ryu and nodded, “He is the first person that will tell you that hard work pays off more than anything else.”

Ryu nodded whilst keeping his eyes trained on the page of his book. “You work hard enough, make the right connections, and keep your dream alive, and soon enough, you’ll start seeing some real results.” He murmured and glanced up at the young soldier with a gentle smile. “You’ve clearly got a lot of passion and ambition for what you do; never let that go, soon-to-be Sergeant.”

Hidachi then pointed over towards Mitzuki, “The young woman you’re sat beside, Fukazawa has more raw piloting talent and experience that her appearance would lead you to believe.”

Mitzuki allowed for a grin to slip, “I started flying planes when I was a kid. My parents had an old plane on their farm that was used for crop dusting, and one day when they weren’t home, I found the keys and took it out for a spin.” Mitzuki snickered to herself and peered down at her hands, “It’s a wonder I didn’t crash that thing, oh my Dad was so pissed; I must’ve been grounded for two months after that.”

“Ms. Ozawa became the first pilot in JSDF history to receive the ranking of, ‘Master pilot’, a feat that would normally take decades to reach. She turned her recklessness into something beneficial and life changing.” Hidachi remarked and shot a wink at Mitzuki.

He turned his attention back to Fukazawa and reached out to pat him on the arm. “You’ll be on your way before you know it, son, that I’m sure. And, my gut is usually never wrong.”

Usually”. Ryu mused with a toothy grin.

“I can’t help it sometimes, the damn thing’s got a mind of its own!” Hidachi stated, netting a laugh from both Ryu and Mitzuki.

Fukazawa felt a little lightened over the cheery mood Hidachi was trying to bring in to the situation, but this was still the JSDF after all, so there was definitely work to be done soon. But this conversation gave him the hope he needed that perhaps one day he would be in charge of some specialized anti-monster technology, and perhaps even get his vengeance on Godzilla himself for the living hell he made Fukazawa's life in 1954.. One day...

As the thoughts of that night came rolling back, a voice started to speak over the twisted steel frames and shattered concrete that stood in the place of many familiar buildings, backed by the flames that lit the night sky; to which reality came back to Fukazawa. It was the pilot of the chopper speaking over the intercom to the crew.

“Alright everyone, we are almost to Ueno. ETA is about 5 minutes, everything looks clear from up here.”

After staring blankly at the floor of the chopper momentarily, the soldier turned his head to look off to the west at the area he and the others were about to step foot into. From here, Fukazawa could see distant wisps of white smoke drifting upward from the forests below. He had heard intense flames accompanied these tremors the night before, so perhaps this was the remnants of them? Only time would tell at this point.

Draborgman had managed to get clear enough of the tunnel entrance and had prepared to blast the roof himself to close it down after Aroro had come through. But her actions forced him to keep going, especially to make sure Yamato had been safe. The young man had yelped upon being grabbed up suddenly, but he wasn't complaining about being saved. They finally then landed after a bit, and he looked back. He could only wait to see if the female was fine, though he could see that the male was himself, if looking like his pride had been hurt. "I'm sorry..." Cole could only say. What else could he say? He hadn't intended for the two to be exiled, only to help what was looking like some underdogs who were being bullied and threatened with their lives. Yamato stayed quiet as there was little he could say either, but to rest on Cole's giant shoulder after being put there so he could have full and free use of his hands. This was turning out to be one of the worst days the two have had in a while, but they had little idea of how much worse days would come in the future...

Gojira had been blindsided by MechaGodzilla's attack to his legs, and was working on regaining his wits. This was quite the humiliating blow, and it was making him much more angry. He finally did regain those temporarily lost wits, and got back to his feet. He snarled angrily in MechaGodzilla's direction, seeing the robot was seemingly distracted with attacking the dinosaurs, the alien and his ally, Gamera. His spines began to glow once again, and he fired his atomic breath at MechaGodzilla, causing sparks to fly from the machine as it was forcibly stumbled and unintentionally spared Arrow. Gojira would take care of the dino later, but his rage was directed at the robot. Indicating this, he immediately fired his breath weapon at MechaGodzilla a second time, intending to fry the magnificent terror from space. But if MechaGodzilla was fast enough, he could start a beam shoving match with his space rays from his eyes.

Yoko was not doing too well herself though, as the battle between Gamera, Chirako and Gigan was taking its toll on her. Physically and mentally, she was being worn down, but her spirit was still strong. Kensugi continued to support her, worried for her, but he looked to the battle, and he began to cheer Gamera on for Yoko's sake. "Come on, big guy, you can take these guys down. You have to, Yoko's counting on it..."

Yoko managed to see what was going on, and continued her best to help Gamera. "Your elbow claws..." Yoko spoke, "Try them on the cables... Then blast that cyborg in the head..."

Gamera heard Yoko's thoughts as though she was speaking right beside him, and directed his fury towards the Cyborg. Raising his free arm, he swung it at the cables keeping his mouth shut and severed them with his elbow spikes. The cable would loosen and slip off of Gamera's mouth with a light rattling sound, falling to the ground at his feet. Gamera grabbed the other cable as he began to charge another fireball, the strength of his grasp could be felt by the tension it put on the cable as Gigan tried to reel him in. Finally, Gamera unleashed the blazing projectile directly at Gigan's head. With Gigan literally tethered to Gamera, there was no escape and thus the cyborg would be wise to brace for the worst...

------

MechaGodzilla stumbled back from Gojira's heat ray, the metal behemoth redirecting it's attention back to the reptilian monster as it's internal systems detected a huge radiation spike coming from Gojira. With both hands already in firing position, MechaGodzilla slightly adjusted it's aim and fired all eight missiles at the monster. The first salvo would strike Gojira in the head and inside his mouth, while the second salvo hit him across the chest and shoulder. MechaGodzilla's rudimentary onboard AI immediately devised it's next course of action; the robot's square dorsal parks flashed neon green before discharging a blaze of flame at Gojira.

------

"Hahahahaha! Now you see, Godzilla. MechaGodzilla has all of your abilities and more, no matter your power, MechaGodzilla will destroy you!!"

Kuronuma exclaimed aloud, overjoyed with how his super weapon was dealing with not only Godzilla, but four other monsters at once! Kuronuma's mind savored the thought of MechaGodzilla becoming even more powerful through upgrades received through reverse engineering Gallon's technology. However he was wel aware that this research would take time, and from the looks of it, they had plenty...

Anguirus glanced up at the strange metallic creature's apology, and snorted. He didn't want to go so far as to admit that Draborgman had probably saved himself and Aroro, but he growled out that those cowards would've pulled something similar whether the newcomer had intervened or not. Gororo had never intended to make the fight fair, let alone allow Anguirus and Aroro to speak with Ururu.

And speaking of... Aroro finally dragged herself out of the tunnel, limping and caked in dust. He approached her immediately, surprised at her condition. He sniffed at her curiously, but couldn't detect any new injuries. Looking her in the eye, he realized that she was mostly just exhausted, physically and likely emotionally after their ordeal. He rumbled the obvious, that she needed to find a place to rest. He would stay with her and ensure that none of Ururu's killers tried to track her down.

But their new... ally, or whatever the cyborg was to them, he needed to be accounted for. Turning back to Draborgman, he noticed for the first time the tiny, fleshy creature in the cyborg's hand. Where had that come from? He eyed it closely, wondering what its significance was, but didn't care enough to ask. Looking back up at the winged warrior, he asked instead what Draborgman had been doing in the Dinosaur Kingdom. Was he looking to overthrow Ururu?

Hidachi peered out of his own window to view the trails of smoke emanating from the forest below. He silently wondered where the tremors felt across Japan last night had come from. Hopefully, Ueno would hold the answers that the weary captain and everyone else onboard were searching for.

“Preparing for touchdown, everyone hold on tightly.” The pilot stated.

Doing as he was told, Hidachi grabbed ahold of the strap hanging overhead beside him, and looked to see both Ryu and Mitzuki doing the same thing. Just a few moments now.

***********

Fukuoka, Japan

High above the titanic battle that waged on, saw a lone JSDF transport helicopter traveling slowly across the sky. Inside of the vehicle were two soldiers, the pilot and copilot; they’d been sent to do reconnaissance on the area. The two men peered below them, and both of their faces turned pale in disbelief.

“Kyoto... Are you seeing this?” The young copilot asked.

“Y-yeah.... Yeah, I’m seeing it.” The man quietly responded, his jaw touching the floor at the sight of five monsters locked in brutal war of attrition. “Get out the camera, we’ve got to report this to HQ at once.”

Quickly obliging, the copilot took as many photos as he could, some clear and some not due to the shaky nature of the helicopter. “Got em!” He confirmed.

“Good, let’s get those to General Hashimoto ASAP!” Kyoto said, and without wasting time, turned the chopper around and headed off to meet with the General in Ueno.

As the chopper descended towards the ground, Fukazawa noticed the barren nature of the area. It wasn't just the landing zone; in fact the temporary military outposts teeming with soldiers and vehicles were the most lively thing about this area. There was a particular lack of solid structures and nature in the vicinity. At Hashimoto's directive, he and the other personnel departing from the chopper went towards a large tent, marked with 'Command Center' across the lining that led inside. There, large radios, radars, photo displays and a considerable amount of personnel were busy at work. It was quite astounding, really. Walking through the maze of the machinery, the group reached the back of the makeshift center. Both the commander of the operation and Koji Sada had evidently been waiting for their arrival, as they immediately gave a bow upon sight of the general. Returning one of his own, Hashimoto began his inquiry for details.

“What have you found over the course of your search here, commander?”

“It's.. Hard to say, if we have to be honest. It's unlike anything dealt with previously. There have been no survivors found in the area, as the town was quite literally wiped out of existence. We are getting assistance from civil engineers to help with extraction of any debris to get a better understanding of what caused the fissures.”

Hashimoto took this information in before directing his attention to Koji, to whom he asked more questions. “What about the other issues reported last night? I heard there were fires and even radioactivity in the area,”

“The Geiger counters have found nothing, but the first responders swear up and down that radiation was present amid the immediate aftermath.” the professor replied.

“In that case, I'd like to go see more of this area myself. I'm supposed to give a recommendation for the area, so I want to know what is going on before I do that,” Hashimoto spoke.

“Of course, sir. I'll have a jeep ready for you immediately,” the commander responded.

There was hardly a wait between the general's group exiting the tent and the arrival of the promised jeep. As the men boarded the vehicle to join the driver, he asked “I was told you want to look deeper into these parts. Where exactly do you want to go?”

“I want to see the worst of the damage, I need to see it for myself so I can deliver an accurate assessment to the prime minister.” Hashimoto responded.

Nodding his head in acknowledgment, the driver obliged. A makeshift roadway had been made along the sides of the Kanna River where the pavement was damaged, and the jeep traveled south along this stretch of terrain. Everything to the west of the river seemed normal, as pristine as the wilderness could be. To the east along the mountainous terrain, intermittent trees stood bare amid upturned soil lining the barren slopes, scorched and blackened from the blazes that swept through the area overnight, with not a trace to be seen of the source flames. The jeep continued its journey south for about 2 kilometers before reaching the Narahara area, where soldiers stood in the roadway to stop the vehicle. Puzzled, the general stepped out of the vehicle to speak with those ahead of him, as they looked as though something had just happened.

“What seems to be the matter here?” he asked in a somewhat irate tone.

“It's the river!” one of the soldiers blurted. “The Geiger counter our unit has started to react to the water several minutes ago. It's the first radiation anyone has recorded since the overnight hours!” he anxiously replied.

“There's a lot of dead fish floating through here now! It wasn't like this a while ago” another shouted.

Koji's curiosity got the best of him, and he quickly grabbed his own Geiger counter from the vehicle and went to the water's edge, to see if this was indeed true. The familiar static sound mixed with clicking was emitted from the device almost immediately, and the needle in the gauge concurrently began to rise. Koji directed for the soldier in the water that had a counter equipped to come to him. Doing so, they both fixed their attention to the counter the professor held.

“The radiation is gradually increasing, it wasn't like that just moment ago” the soldier spoke in a concerned tone.

Still in the rear of the jeep, Fukazawa was thinking about everything that was unraveling by the second. “If the fish are floating upstream, that means..” he uttered to himself, before Koji cut him off with a shout from his position--”To the south! We need to get there now!”

The general nodded, and spoke to the men who stood near the vehicle. “All of you get out of the way. I have to see what's happening,” Hashimoto spoke to the soldiers as he returned to the jeep.

As the vehicle sped down the stretches of dirt for several minutes, Fukazawa soon began to smell something strange.. It was definitely as though something was burning. Not trees, but.. Rubber? It was evident that everyone else caught on, as they all shot confused glances towards each other.

“Alright, I wasn't the only one who thought something was off,” the driver spoke.

Stopping the jeep, he got out to investigate the source of this smell, as did the rest of the group.

A quick inspection under the hood showed no issues. Squatting down, the driver had intended to look under the vehicle itself. As he placed one hand on the rough surface of the ground for support, he found himself jerking it back instantly. The ground was.. Hot. Very hot.

“Confirm it isn't just me.. Is the ground hot at all to you?” he asked the others.

Hidachi, Fukazawa and Koji all felt the ground, and they too reared back. It was like touching an oven surface.

Confused, Fukazawa glanced around at the area. The sky was clear, the river was flowing, nothing seemed off. “There definitely isn't a heatwave that I know of, and there shouldn't be volcanic activity here.. Unless this particular spot of earth is in fact active after all?”

“This is entirely new,” Koji replied. “I surveyed this area just hours earlier, and the worst there was had been residual smoke from the burnt forest. But.. Why is this happening now..?”

Hidachi carefully scanned the area, noting how Koji and the others were off about a good 10 or so yards away from the jeep, while Ryu and Mitzuki were to his left covering opposite sides of the forest. Pacing back and forth a few feet away from the vehicle, Hidachi stopped and leaned down to pat the ground once more. “Burning hot, even this far out.” He affirmed to himself.

Then, turning his nose up to the sky, the captain took in a deep sniff and caught wind of an incredibly strong, incredibly unpleasant burning smell. Rising to full height, Hidachi started pacing back and forth again, all the while sniffing heavily to confirm where the scent was emanating from the strongest. After about a minute, Hidachi deduced that the burnt aroma was at its most powerful near the jeep that he and everyone else were just in. Narrowing his eyes, the captain hobbled his way towards it to get a closer look.

At first, he didn’t notice anything, but was taken aback by the nearly overwhelming stench of burning metal, so much so that it caused Hidachi’s eyes to water. But then, upon closer insepection, Hidachi saw the wheels of the vehicle; they were... Smoking! “General Hashimoto, I’ve found something!” Hidachi yelled out.

Hashimoto came to Hidachi's side, and knelt down to see this for himself. Sure enough, it looked as though the tires had gone flat by this point; their bottoms virtually melted to slag.

As the group continued to wonder just what the hell was going on between the extremely hot ground and the radiation, Fukazawa caught a strange sight from the corner of his eye. Perhaps only a quarter of a kilometer up the road, a cloud of dust seemed to emerge from the ground, rapidly drifting upward to cover the facade of one of the many slopes in the area, as a low rumble accompanied the unusual sight.

“Over there!” Fukazawa exclaimed, pointing at the growing cloud.

As Hidachi, Fukazawa, Hashimoto and Koji cautiously and slowly approached the sight, the entire slope gave away, crashing into the ground below; trees and all. What was briefly thought to be a landslide among the group was quickly dispelled when something much more bizarre came into view. From the gaping hole now on the mountainside, a large figure emerged. Initially seen as two large blue lights piercing through the thick brown cloud, soon came into view as a towering menace in the form of a bulky robot, easily 50 meters in height. Possessing either a gray, blue-green or gold coloration across various parts of its form; most of the robot's segmented body appeared as numerous indentations across its chest and upper legs, cone-shaped “hands” with a gap in their center for the appearance of fingers, a drill nose, rotating antennae on its head, a large buzz saw on its back and a fat gray tail stood out as its distinct features. A high-pitch beeping that sounded somewhat like radio transmissions accompanied the titan that stood before them.

The group of these JSDF personnel had seen much in their lives through association with the technical side of the organization, or being one of the hundreds of thousands on those fateful nights when Godzilla attacked in 1954; but nothing had ever been quite like this. Nearly in shock from the machine that stood before them, the small group scrambled to get themselves together and run for it. Hidachi had the most trouble with this given the injuries sustained in his grapple with Godzilla, and fell to the ground. His lieutenants realizing this, quickly ran back to get their captain. To buy the two time, the driver of the jeep took out his service revolver and fired several rounds at the menace before them, knowing that it would likely be in vain. Each lieutenant taking either of Hidachi's arms and heaving them over their backs in spite of their own injuries, Ryu and Mitzuki hauled their captain towards the others who had retreated further up the road by this point, opting instead to hide among the twisting slopes of the surrounding terrain rather thank risk mounting up in a vehicle that may not even move from the damage its tires sustained.

As the driver took cover to reload his revolver behind the jeep, the machine's eyes went from slowly lighting on and off to a steady bright blue glow. Seconds later, a series of rays discharged from its eyes, meeting the jeep with impeccable precision. There was no delay from the moment of impact to the complete destruction of the vehicle, reducing it to a flaming chassis in a large explosion. As the others fled further from the scene, the last thing they saw before rounding a nearby slope was one of the large rectangular legs of the menace kick the remnants of their vehicle into the waters of the nearby river, causing it to land with a crash. Hashimoto was repeatedly calling for transport over the course of this encounter, not detailing why it was needed, only that it was needed NOW. He finally heard a response that confirmed there was evac on the way.

Arrow shakily got to his feet, embarrassed and in pain. As much as he hated to admit, especially after he swore to bring down the robot, he was totally out of his depth. These creatures were all much stronger then him. Only Ururu and the Dinosaur Elite would really have a chance in this fight. How where their so many powerful creatures?! Sure their were other giant being on earth, they had always existed in some form even befor the dinosaurs first came into being if the stories were true. But they were primal, inferior beasts. The Dinosaurs were earth true master species, at least thats what Arrow had always believed.

Arrow looked round at the battle. At the monsters who, even in a in a one on one fight, he was more a nuisance then a threat. It badly wounded his pride as a Dinosaur Warrior. It was during this moment of bitter reflection that his eyes fell on Chirako. The injury she'd suffered from Gigan's attack had been mortal. She lay on the ground, eye's closed, her breathing shallow. From her wounds, he life leaked away in red rivers. Seeing his... friend in such a state, Arrow's mind went blank. Despite all they had been though, he had still believed they'd survive. Seeing the dinosaur he had fought beside, who'd saved his own life, dying was just to much to bear. Blind to the battle that was still going on Arrow made his way over to the giant Styracosaurus.

Once close enough he gently nudged her with his snout. "Chirako? Chirako can you hear me?" His friend's eyes opened slightly. "Arrow" she said in a voice so soft he almost couldn't make it out "Arrow... I... I'm sorry. I t-tired but they were just to strong." Arrow felt a terrible ache in his chest at seeing her this way. "You have nothing to be sorry for Chirako. You fought bravely, as a true Dinosaur Warrior should. It..." Arrow's voice began to brake, "It was an honour to be your friend."

Chirako smiled weakly at his words, bur befor she could reply, she breathed her last and the light faded from her eyes.

For a moment Arrow just remianed motionless. Then the giant Allosaur threw back his head and howeled his sorrow.

Ryu peered over the slight hill beside the dirt road that himself, Mitzuki and Hidachi hid behind. He could only gaze upward in terrified awe at the sight of the absolutely enormous metal... Entity that stood before every person there.

“Wha-What the hell is that thing?!” Ryu exclaimed in a panted breath.

“No idea, ugh...” Hidachi responded whilst struggling to push himself up, “But the way it destroyed our ride out of here suggests that it isn’t friendly.”

Ryu and Mitzuki quickly got on either side of him and helped him to a comfortable sitting position against a nearby tree. “Are you alright, captain?” Ryu inquired, to which the former held up a hand.

“I’m fine, you two, thanks. All I’m concerned about now is us getting the hell out of here in one piece.”

“Not with that thing in the way.” Mitzuki implied with a sigh and plopped down beside him. “Those projectiles it shot at us are like nothing I’ve ever seen. Hell, the whole machine isn’t! It has to be some sort of advanced military vehicle.”

Ryu crosses his arms, “Where exactly did it come from? You think it could be experimental tech from a different country, maybe the Americans?”

Hidachi shook his head, “It’s unlikely, but I’m also not ruling anything out. One thing’s for certain: We can’t let it reach a populated area.

Gojira was struck backwards from the blast of the missiles to his head, and even in his mouth, causing some bleeding to start in his mouth. He was further assaulted from the missiles that hit his chest and shoulder, doing about the same amount of damage as it had before. He then saw MechaGodzilla charging up another flame thrower blast after the smoke cleared. He wasn't about to take another assault, and charged up his atomic breath again, unleashing it right at the same time as the green flames were projected at him. The two attacks collided, and created a maelstrom of fire and radiation at the exact center of the distance between the two titans. It grew and grew, as energy from both were poured into it, until a massive explosion erupted, with enough force to send Gojira flying backwards about one hundred and seventy meters, with the result of his exertions, the cumulative injuries he had sustained, and the shock of the blast, Gojira was out cold upon coming to a stop after skidding about another fifty meters. He was now out of the fight, leaving Gamera on his own if the blast didn't effect MechaGodzilla...

Draborgman looked to Anguirus, and gave a nod with a grunt. "I guess it would have been my goal, after figuring out where his lair was." He responded, "We were originally investigating where giant mutated rats had come from, and found the network of tunnels that lead down to that place we just ran from. I sensed quite a lot of evil energy from that dark tower at the center of the land, and I wasn't the only one as my human friend here also got as he put it 'bad vibes from that tower.'" He briefly indicated Yamato before continuing. "My intent was to gain intel and then figure out a course of action until I saw what was going on with you, and you know the rest."

Underground, Near The Dinosaur Kingdom

“Thank you for helping us” Said Aroro “If not for you Mororo’s scheming would have worked.” She examined at the metal warrior and the human more closely now. While strange, she felt no malice from them at all. She quickly descided she could trust them, they had after all put themselves in danger to help her and Anguirus.

“I’m Aroro, a native of the Dinosaur Kingdom” She then motioned to the male “And this is Anguirus, a dinosaur from another part of the world. Since you went to the trouble of helping us, I think I can be of some help to you, as I know the answers to some of your questions. But first we need to get moving, the cave-in has stopped them from chasing us and it’s likely Ururu will be more interested in finding out what was going on at the moment, but they will be after us eventually. Plus I’m afraid that I’m pretty spent, so moving fast is a bit beyond me at the moment. We need to gain as much ground as we can before then, I’ll tell you as much as I can as we go.” Aroro then looked to Anguirus, he needed to know more of what was going on to, now that the Dinosaur Kingdom was his enemy.

…………………………………………………………………………………..

As they began walking Aroro explained, doing her best to keep all the party in the loop.

“The place we were just at is the Dinosaur Kingdom, through that name is relatively new. It has existed for millions upon millions of years. According to the stories, it was a holy land to us dinosaurs. It was a place dinosaur species migrated when their doom was nigh, so that they could continue to exist even as the world out evolved them. Thats why so many different members of our kind can be found there. None knows how we knew of the places or why, just that something about that place called to us.”

“After the great extinction, we dinosaurs lived in peace in this underground land. We grew stronger, larger, more powerful and intelligent, yet we still lived in tune with nature... until the rise of Ururu. Before he became king, our alpha was Garara the mightiest of the Triceratops clan. There has always been an alpha of our land, some better some worse, but all maintained balance. Of them all Garara was hailed as one of the greatest. Not only was he strong but also wise, a veritable avatar of order and balance. Then Ururu came to challenge him.”

“The pair battled for hours, long after one of them should have yielded. Looking back on it, I think Garara was desperate to not let Ururu take his place. I think he saw what truly lay in Ururu’s heart, something the rest of us only came to know when it was too late. Unfortunately for us all Ururu proved the stronger and became the new alpha of our home. His first act was to make an example of Garara. He used his terrible psychic powers to destroy the noble triceratops’s mind completely, turning Garara into a soulless avatar for his will. After that he began putting his dark plans into action. Using his influence and power, Ururu didn’t just rule our world he dominated it. Dinosaurs were not to just respect him but serve him.”

“This should have been enough to make us rise against him, but with his subjugation came promises of power and greatness for all dinosaurs. Ururu wished for us to return to the surface lands and rule it as we had long ago. He also spoke of the humans who now ruled the world, how they poisoned it and would seek to destroy us if we were ever discovered. His words won a large number of us over one way or another. Those that were left either simply hoped for the best, like myself, while other tried to resist. Once his power base was great enough, Ururu declared our home the Dinosaur Kingdom and himself Dinosaur King.”

“You’ve seen or can guess most of the rest. Ururu has started sending Dinosaur Warriors to the surface to attack and claim territory, though it’s clearly going to be much harder then he suspected. There are monsters much stronger the average dinosaur above, like Anguirus here or Godzilla. Which brings me to the rats you mentioned... and my part in all this. When Ururu learned of Godzilla, he instantly viewed him as a threat to his rule. Godzilla, though a mutant, is a dinosaur or at least something closely related. He’s also a powerful alpha creature, the exact kind of beast who could challenge Ururu. Even though Godzilla knew nothing of the Dinosaur Kingdom, Ururu was not willing to take the chance. So he found two of his more expendable subjects, robbed us of our minds and sent us out to hunt him.”

“My job was to gather information on Godzilla, then join up with my fellow puppet once he found the mutant. Now when Ururu controls another creature, they gain a fraction of his mind control powers. In my case I was able to control and mutate vermin. Through me, Ururu used them to track down information on Godzilla and kill anyone who got in the way. Once my mission was complete, I was forced to take part in an attack on Godzilla. It was there that I met Anguirus, who helped me break Ururu’s hold of my mind. Though the other warrior was slain, we were able to make peace with Godzilla. After that we made our way down here, for I was foolishly still hoping there was some good in Ururu and he’d let us live in peace. You know the rest”.

Laid casually on his stomach across the sandy beach of Snake Island, Godzilla took in the slightly humid, partly cloudy weather that Brazil was currently experiencing. He laid there sunning like a big crocodile, whilst dozing and at the same time keeping a watchful eye on Junior, whom was several yards away and busy digging a hole in the ground for reasons unknown. Godzilla uttered a low purr to himself; that one never seemed to run out of energy.

Godzilla slowly blinked the drowsiness from his eyes and peered out towards the sea, smelling the unmistakable scent of ocean water ever from where he laid. He also sensed something far greater and more interesting: Creatures similar to him, including one of which whose scent bore a striking resemblance to his own, were accumulated in one spot across the globe. Even though he desperately felt the need to go and stake his claim on territory that was rightfully his, Godzilla also couldn’t leave his son alone for time being. Perhaps, in a few days, he could venture out to hunt down these beasts that had risen. Godzilla’s mind trailed off to the phenomenon that occurred a day prior, when he and that strange creature faced off one another, but not in a way that the nuclear weapon could begin to unravel. It almost seemed as though Godzilla was... Out of his body... As if he wasn’t himself. He furrowed his massive brow and sneered; he’d never experienced something quite like that before.

Strangely enough, the headache that Godzilla had experienced from earlier hadn’t yet gone away, but rather, it had become slightly worse. Perhaps a bout of much needed rest would finally get rid of it. With a snort, Godzilla plopped his head on the sand and allowed for his eyes to regain the heaviness they had lost.

Huddled at the base of a large tree, Koji, Hashimoto and Fukazawa all sat in angst. Peering from the cover it provided, it seemed as though the machine had taken a different course; it was nowhere to be seen by the general. Withdrawing behind his hiding position, he returned to facing the small group that took cover by his side.

“So, how do you like being in the monster-fighting divisions, Sargent?” Hashimoto jokingly asked to Fukazawa.

Koji was rather surprised by this remark, as the general was never one to be humorous, especially in a situation like this.

“Boy I've never known you to ease up in a situation like this. Did something hit you on the way here?” the professor remarked.

“I guess you could say that I'm just delirious in the face of everything that just transpired. Just because I'm a general does not mean I am a robot; no pun intended,” Hashimoto countered.

It was around this time that the requested evac had appeared; consisting of several jeeps. A massive wave of relief swept group as they quickly met up with the convoy to get back to the headquarters.

“Don't talk, just get us out of here ASAP,” Hashimoto hastily told the drivers.

The ride back to the base of field operations was eerily quiet. The foot soldiers that accompanied this convoy wondered among themselves just what might have transpired to leave the group that they recovered like this, particularly the Attorney General of the entire JSDF. As the vehicles traversed the twists and slopes of the terrain and passed through familiar scenery, Koji had realized in the turbulent encounter just moments ago that he had forgotten their objective was initially find the source of the previous night's flames, tremors and radiation. Now he believed there was an answer.

In the tent that served as the deployed army's HQ, the group that had been recovered had some sort of difficulty getting out the details of what had taken place up the road. Other soldiers observing recognized immediately the signs of the so-called thousand yard stare. Through persistent questioning, the group gradually gave some sort of description of as large metallic creature, something the likes of which hadn't been quite yet seen before, even among all of the monsters suddenly trudging through Japan.

“So you're saying that's likely to be responsible for everything we're here for?” the commander of the 1st army asked.

“I'm certain of it,” Hashimoto replied. “The ground it was under was hot enough to melt the tires of the vehicle that got us there, and there was radiation coming from it!”

“How did something so big manage to disappear, then? The rest of the troop we sent up to your position by that point has not found such a creature, and their communications are still functioning,” another officer spoke.

“It likely went back underground,” Koji answered.

The commander thought for a moment, and announced his decision to tackle the situation. “In that case, we'll start focusing on aerial patrols to find any of these unusual occurrences that this mecha brings with it, if not to report any sight of it altogether. But I guess its movement will be difficult to predict until that time, so we''l just have to keep focus,”

Mysterian Base, Mt. Fuji

As the monitors in the commanding office of the underground dome showed multiple scenes of the destruction in and around Ueno, as well as from elsewhere, the Mysterians looked towards them in glee.

“The highest ranking of our adversaries on this planet are in complete fear of our force, and we showed them a small fraction of our power. I'm really starting to feel more confident that conquering this planet for our own will not be so hard after all,” the silver-helm leader spoke.

He then turned to address the other officers present in the room. “I am aware that there is another race on this planet with us that shares the same goals as our own. Where they reside I do not know. Soon enough, we shall respond to their initial attempt at communications, only after tonight when we unleash Moguera upon the larger settlements in its current vicinity. Patience is key, and our time is quickly approaching to go on the offensive.”
