Primal (2019)
GENNDY TARTAKOVSKY ANIMATED DINOSAUR SHOW BABEY
Tartakovsky is one of my favorite visual artists ever and one of the biggest stylistic influences in my own art so when I saw that he was doing an animated series with dinosaurs (one of my other favorite things) for Adult Swim I kinda lost it. This is my most anticipated animated project of all time.

And yet again the whole trope of dinosaurs and man co-existing together despite that not being the case.
That said looks interesting.

This looks solid as skreeonk. I'm happy that between this and the Jon Favreau Walking With Dinosaurs-esque documentary dinosaur media outside of Jurassic Park is starting to show up again.
We're also one step closer to getting that Age of Reptiles adaptation I crave.

I'd like for Mr. Tartakovsky to make an Age of Reptiles-type procedural series. IIRC, he was a huge fan of the comics.
Actually, now that I remember, he wrote the forward for the omnibus. That's mindblowing.

Re: Primal (2019)
I haven’t been this hyped for an upcoming show for a while. Its like Turok meets Far Cry Primal. And the fact that Genndy is not focusing scientific accuracy makes the possibilities of this show more wild.
"Am I glad he's frozen in there and that we're out here, and that he's the sheriff, and that we're frozen out here, and that we're in there and I just remembered we're out here. What I wanna know is where's the caveman?"

Very cool looking. Hope we get some dinosaurs/prehistoric creatures that'll be actual recurring characters.

Going by the summary one of the main characters is “a dinosaur on the verge of extinction” who forms a sort of friendship/alliance with the caveman main character
I’m willing to bet it’s the green, tusked theropod we see several times, as it is seen fighting the red Ceratosaur-looking dinosaur alongside the caveman and is later seen attacking a mammoth
EDIT: the summary
Primal features a caveman at the dawn of evolution. A dinosaur on the brink of extinction. Bonded by tragedy, this unlikely friendship becomes the only hope of survival in a violent, primordial world.

Looks awesome, like Samurai Jack meets what little I've seen of Turok. So yeah, I'm all in.

Will there be any levity/humour in this show to balance things out? Regardless, this show does look like it has potential.

I would assume that there would be some comedy considering this is a Tartakovsky series.

Regardless, what really comes across as surprising is that this does not look even remotely like any of Genndy’s past works in terms of artistic style.

I'm in. As much as I really wish we could get some scientifically accurate dinosaur/ prehistoric life media, this just plain looks awesome, and obviously Tartakovsky's track record speaks for itself.

Re: Primal (2019)
Do we know if there's a plot to this? Or is it more like an anthology? I'm good with either since I'm a big fan of new and innovative animation styles.
Plus blood, dinosaurs, crazy art style? This is right up my alley.
