Wow...that might maybe cover a small percent of actual Welfare users. But how about the 22 year old mommy of 8 with 6 different men? Or the people who live with another person and yet dont claim them on their 'household income' and still get it?
I would be all for this plan if the state had valid reason to drug test someone.
And drug testing at work is for safety. Do you want a crane operator coming to work trippin' balls? What's a stoned Welfare recipient going to do? Trip, fall into you and give you a papercut with the check?
Technically both people you just listed would generally be considered as abusing the system as it is. Also regardless of safety, why should taxpayers fund a program that IS indeed largely abused (or have benefit $ used for drugs)?
