I think I was actually raised non-denominational, which is like the laziest form of Christianity.

After a couple months of critical questioning, and thinking, and reading... I recently picked up "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, a couple months ago, I came to the conclusion that I'm now an Athiest.

I did want so badly to hold on to some sort of faith, but that fell flat on its face.

I believe in an Intelligence. The thing is, it's sitting in a movie theater, watching the wonderful history of this universe unfold reel by reel on the tapestry.

Same here.
I always thought God created evolution, but when i told my friend about this, he freaked and started throwing rocks at my house in the "defense of God".
The people i know who're Christian are EXTREMELY overreligious, and whenever you bring up evolution, thye beat the crap out of you in the name of God. Another
I don't think God would like it if some of his followers were Nazis. :P
Not trying to insult Christians or Catholics but seriously, some of these people are REAL haters.

If there is a higher power I'd like to think of him/her/them/it as being like a scientist. Create some life, then put it under a microscope and do nothing. Just see how life changes without any outside interference.

From Harry Potter?

Yeah I remember seeing that, parents burning Harry Potter books because they think it's "satanic". The irony is I believe the lady who wrote those books is a *GASP* christian.

Yeah, I can't believe they actually burn all those books because it was "witchcraft". Really... :?

Why not Scientology?

I always found hard to believe that people really take Scientology serious? I read stuff about it and it makes me laugh that people believe in it. I mean it was a created by a single person (L. Ron Hubbard), and it would have never exist without him. I think that all religion was created by a single person as well.

^ Yeah organized religion is bull shit, no offense to anyone here, but I like to decide for myself what to believe instead of following some rules and being told what to believe by organized religion. That and there's a thin line between religion and cult.

I believe in a being who created the universe and loves all in it for the sake of loving it- that doesn't stop said being from facepalming at how STUPID it's little creations are.

Y'know, watching Cinemassacre's Top 10 Sequels That Aren't As Bad as Everyone Says, #1 was Kingdom of the Crystal, and one of the things people complained about it cuz it wasn't religious enough.
There's a line that James Rolfe mentioned in the movie that people overlook.
Mutt: But there's only one god, right?
Indy: Depends on who's yours.

I was raised catholic and went to catholic school from kindergarten to 8th grade, but I don't believe in organized religion. However, I do believe in God and evolution, I think the two can go hand in hand.
