I can't blame you, I'm also very picky when it comes to podcasts, I'm planning to do my own podcast by the time 2019 begins :D

Okay...so...I love this film.

It is patchy & uneven in places...but its really creative
with a few moments of camp & comedy that elevate it
for me.

That soundtrack is great, the new Godzilla design/suit
is fantastic, the characters are likeable with clear goals
in mind & Biollante (in both forms) is inspired...and while
the "foreign" actors are AWFUL...I can let that slide.

It gets a

from me...

I've never found Godzilla boring in this movie. He has a great personality here, a dangerous animal with a sense of pride and regality to him. The raging, blast-everything-in-sight, orange-eyed mountain of bolk he became later is what bores me. He's a lot more charismatic and believable in GvB and GvKG, I'd say.

Why do people act as if the Bio-Wars track ruins the entire soundtrack?

I don't know...

:?

Maybe they're afraid to have fun?

Maybe they reject every campy element in the entire Godzilla franchise?

Maybe its what all the cool kids are doing these days?

Biowars is one of the best remixes and sortve completely fits the craziness of that scene.

Thinking about it now, GVB has one of the most varied soundtracks, with that, but then also having a super upbeat super x theme, and then the ambient themes of Biollante.

So a lot of people feel that it suffers from tonal inconsistency?

But its not that bad...

Its not like the Benny Hill theme plays midway through the film.

No not at all, it’s not like the bio wars theme plays while Godzilla wrecks Osaka. All the somber and ambient music links to Biollante, it doesn’t play the super x2 music then.

I will say that the Super X2 theme is obnoxious as fuck.

I think it's one of the best pieces of music in the franchise. I love the wonderful superhero vibe it has; exuberant, almost majestic.

It's fantastic driving music.

Different & experimental doesn't mean boring.
