That's fine. I wasn't trying to make the case that Monster Zero is better, just that the 70s films largely copied its formula (with the notable exception being Hedorah).Grievous wrote:Well...Godzilla vs. Monster Zero is one of the few Godzilla filmsDr. Professor wrote:Why's that? I find boring & severely overrated by others in the fandom...&
the 70's is my favorite era of Godzilla films with vs. Hedorah,
vs. Megalon & vs. MechaGodzilla being 3 of my all time favorites.
While I understand the 70's films may have simply copied the
formula laid out by Monster Zero & Destroy All Monsters...I
just find the 70's films more fun...even if their overall quality
is lacking.
So...I'm basically saying that even though Monster Zero &
Destroy All Monsters are BETTER films...I personally prefer
the Godzilla films of the 70's.

Yeah, Godzilla wins... sometimes. I mean, he was killed by Dr. Serizawa's patented bubble-bath formula, heartburn, missiles, and poor box office returns, got his ass kicked by a drunken, circus-escaped gorilla, then he was beaten by two newborn worms, yeah some “king”.
