This is classic Rodan through and through, what more can you say? Probably the most classic of all the redesigned kaiju.

As I pointed out in a different thread, Rodan's wings look like cooling magma, which is a nice touch considering his origin.

Remember when this picture was being thought of as a possible Monsterverse Rodan design?

^Thank God we didn't get something like that. Never cared for that design.

I'm sure none of us expected Rodan to look like a picture perfect rendition of his Showa form. I didn't.

Ikr. I was worrying they would try to go "realistic" with him, making nothing more than a generic Pteranodon on a larger scale. Was pleasently surprised to see that's not the case. He's basically Showa Rodan 2.0 and it's awesome. Can't fix what isn't broken lol .

It took over 50 years for someone to make a Rodan that looks just as good if not better than the first lol.

Lol, I know right?

On a serious note though, I like how the crests and eyes look.

Born from fire and rock inside volcanoes, truly this is what Rodan should look like. Legendary is doing a really great job at the Godzilla series. I can't wait to see this next year!!

Same. As much as I loved 2014 and as much as I'm in anticipation for KotM and as much as I'm loving the MonsterVerse as a whole, I never would have guessed that any of them would be my favorite design. This may just be my favorite Rodan.

I gotta say, I wish they kept the feathers. Despite the changes they've made, I feel like Rodan's design is a little too faithful in my opinion. Though, that's just my opinion on the figure, in the trailer he looks amazing with the end of his wings smoldering and how his skin looks black.

He is the 1956 version just modernized, both in design and presentation. Him fighting off an entire air force squadron and leveling entire cities just by hovering by with his sonic booms would be icing on the cake.

I was a bit disappointed they didn't stick with the feathery wing look, I thought it was a callback to those old concept/promotional posters of the 1956 film showing Rodan looking more avian-like, but I'm okay with this. Just hoping he has his Uranium Heat Beam and he'll be equal to Godzilla in power and demeanor, the KIng of the Monsters and the King of the Sky.

Totally love him! I really like the hardened lava look on his skin, his color scheme and serrated beak. Wish they could've given him pitch black eyes like the Rodan couple in their debut movie, but other than that, it's a fantastic design.

The only wrong thing I can say about Rodan is that he's not Godzilla's size. Love how it looks like lava is flowing down his wings, also who ever looked at the 54 Godzilla and created Legendary Godzilla must have done the same for Rodan.

All 4 Titans do get me excited for what the other Titans will look like.

Loving his design the more we see of him. He looks way cooler in the movie than the toy; the glowing magma/fire motif is what really sets him apart.

I think Rodan looks fantastic...

The Lava/Magma is an inspired design touch.

I have a feeling Rodan will be very popular with all the "little kids"
who see this film. I hope Warners Bros. is releasing a toyline.

Wait...they are releasing a toyline right?
