Reach had a great story mode and was much better then the story in Halo 2 and Halo 3 IMO. I still like Halo 3 multiplayer's outside of Firefight.

That was with the Covenant, dude.

Doesn't change the fact they kept advertising Halo 3 as if it was going to be the Grand Finale.

Between the Humans and The Covenant, the war between them was finished.

This is a new trilogy, so of course new story and enemies.

There are still 5 untouched rings, I think that there is still enough story that can be told.

The Halo franchise already had a huge fanbase before Halo 3 was even conceived. If anything, it was the online aspect of the first game that got people hooked.

Bungie advertised it that way. This is a different company handling it. Sooo... that's one thing. And as others have already mentioned, the whole "finish the fight" thing is really only in regards to the covenant. There is still plenty of potential for some good story, so I'm all for it.

Okay okay... fair enough. I've just gotten tired of this franchise is all.

I thought the Halo series was buried for a few years or so, guess business never sleeps after all.

Last year's E3 presentation announced that Halo: Reach was going to be the franchise's swan song. But I really didn't believe it; look what happened.

I wasn't surprised they've announced Halo 4. Between the rumors of Peter Jackson helping making the games and 343 being formed, one way or another, Halo had to return. It is Microsoft's money-maker after all.

I only really liked Halo 1 and Halo Reach. Halo 2 and 3 were okay, while ODST was just plain mediocre.

Halo 3 is easily the worst out of the Halo campaigns, however has great multiplayer and co-op features. Halo Reach was also awesome and Halo 1 was easily the best. Seems like for each installment, the quality of the campaigns are getting lower and lower while the multiplayer seems the get the center of attention.

I'm ecstatic for both titles I'm getting them. I may get the Legendary edition if they make one for Halo CE
