Verdict: Giving this to Godzilla. He seems stronger and more durable, and while Mechagodzilla's Atomic Ray could hurt, I'd say Godzilla could survive enough shots to overpower Mechagodzilla.

Say if they were BOTH in the game. What then? We're talking an actual fight, not Godzilla vs the video game program.

Anyway, Godzilla takes this. Although I think people underestimate his durability and power, since he was able to beat both a Gundam and the Iron Giant in a 2v1. yes, his eyes were blown out by bullets and his head was destroyed by a grenade, but said grenade was tossed inside of Mechagodzilla's control room, killing Sorrento (the pilot) and destroying the head. Not to mention that his exterior is relatively durable, being able to easily repel the weapons of the Iron Giant, and being able to somewhat withstand the RX-78-2's beam saber, which has proven to be a very powerful weapon in the other media the Gundam has appeared in.

But even still, I think Legendary Godzilla takes this, mostly due to sheer durability and strength. Up close, I doubt that Sorrento is going to be able to keep up with Godzilla in hand-to-hand combat. Their Atomic Breath abilities are about the same in terms of power level, with Godzilla's being able to singe the Female MUTO's skin while shoving her back, and Mechagodzilla's attack being able to melt the armor of the Iron Giant. Mechagodzilla has the finger missiles, too, but it's hard to gauge their power when he wasn't really able to use them.

Yeah, Godzilla takes this one.
