Ultimate Millenium Timeline.

Post by SoggyNoodles2016 »

Introduction: This is the written version of something I thought of a long time ago. It all started when I watched this video.

The slick editing, use of the Attack on Titan theme, and usage of the Millennium movies only made me think: how cool would it be if there was a anime where the Millennium movies existed in one timeline? After a while, I noticed all the fan projects where all the Godzilla movies were compressed into one timeline. I soon decided to try my hand at it with this one millennium timeline idea. However, I soon got....a little obsessed. So, I ended up writing this fairly convoluted fan project. This is supposed to be one consistent timeline that is made up of all the Godzilla/Toho content past the Heisei series. And I mean all of it. The Millennium films, Rebirth of Mothra trilogy, Tristar's film and series, the Monsterverse, Shin, the anime movies, the IDW comics, they're all here. Not to mention my own personal additions, be it other films or my ideas. So here it is.

THE ULTIMATE MILLENIUM TIMELINE
Part 1: Origins

10-20 BYA: The Universe is Formed.

4.54 BYA: the Planet Earth is formed

3.5 BYA-298 MYA: Life begins to appear through the cosmos. In time, it diversifies into many different forms on various planets. This explosion of life is combated by a most terrifying race of creatures, the Ghidorahs. Led by the powerful individual (Theorized to be the elder of the species) KEIZER GHIDORAH, these cosmic dragons attack many planets and strip them of their life forces. They soon become feared by many through the cosmos. However, something changes. New, stronger, gigantic lifeforms evolve on many planets. They soon turn the tide, killing most Ghidorahs. By 298 MY, only 5 remain. This still does not mean the universe is safe as some of these creature leave their planet and take up the mantles of the past Ghidorahs.

298-252 MYA: On the planet Earth, massive creatures evolve to feed on radiation covering the Earth’s surface. This soon leads to a new food chain of massive super fauna and flora.

252 MYA: Keizer Ghidorah arrives on Earth with his pack of surviving Ghidorahs. They soon begins to destroy the planet and kill most life on the planet. To combat this extinction level threat, two guardian monsters from ancient times arrive to best them. In time, they will be known as MOTHRA and BATTRA. The two valiantly hold off most of the Ghidorahs, even succeeding at killing one. However, the others are just too strong. Suddenly, the super fauna and flora of the planet join the two in fighting off these threats to the planet. This turns the tide of the battle and ends with the defeat of all Ghidorahs, with Keizer dying and the other three fleeing off back into space. Wounded, Mothra and Battra have won but most if not all life has been nearly wiped out. Earth begins to heal however, and new species emerge.
230 MYA: Most of the super fauna and flora of the planet go into hibernation due to the lack of radiation. Only Mothra and Battra remain.

190- 67 MYA: An advanced race known as Nilai Kinai forms on Earth. They begin to influence the planet, creating powerful monsters and building cities with their new technology. The civilization has a complicated relationship with the moth guardians. Some worship Mothra and Battra as guardians and saviors, led by the mysterious Shobijin fairies. Others ignore them, seeing them as no better then the other local fauna. The guardians also debate their actions, as they change the world. Mothra sees them as full of potential and is optimistic for the future they will bring. Battra sees them as dangerous and wants to stop them, if necessary. This creates a rift between the two siblings.

66 MYA: A pollution controlling beast called DAGHARA, created by Nilai Kinai, goes rogue and rampages through the world, causing chaos and death. He is beaten by the moths, who are both angered by Nilai Kinai’s deed. Their argument along with the lingering tensions soon becomes a full blown war between the two, which causes an extinction on the planet as well as demolishing Nilai Kinai. The lone survivors, Mothra’s worshippers, beg them to stop. Seeing what their actions have done, both moths end their war and disappear out of shame, having devastated the planet they swore to protect. Each go their separate ways. Battra heads north while Mothra finds an island with her worshippers to call home. Both are hesitant to use their full power to fight for Earth now, but will still step forth when the situation calls for it. Their tactics have now changed as well. Mothra fights defensively while trying to find peaceful solutions to prevent more bloodshed while Battra destroy any threat without mercy, both trying to prevent a repeat of these events. Eventually, the areas they inhabit become Siberia and Infant Island near Indonesia respectively.

66 MYA-15TH CENTURY: The various super fauna, guardians and Nilai Kinai beasts soon find a place in the world, especially as the human race emerges. Some are considered gods, others are simply beasts. Some are kind to lesser beings, others cruel. Some ignore humans, some go out of their way to kill them, and some try to protect them. They mostly stay out of the way but they both indirectly and directly shape the world around them. Some examples form thought history are recorded below.

Far older then we know...: a massive civilization with aspects of Mesopotamia, Egypt, and other ancient civilization. The only things known are the "Sanctuary" in the Atlantic (see the 2019 file) and vague sketching of monsters clashing for supremacy.
218 BC: Hannibal Burca writes of an encounter with a great beast in the Alps. Current analysis suggests this was MEGALON, a beetle like kaiju worshipped by the Mu state of Seatopia. Megalon eventually left but decimated many of his forces.
860 AD: A evil oni named BAGAN and one of the Ghidorahs (who had actually been trapped on Earth) suddenly appear to wreak havoc in Japan. Mothra arrives to combat them, with the help of two Nilai Kinai beasts, BARAGON and VARAN. The three battle them However, the younger Ghidorah reforms after all those years in hibernation (helped by worshiping locals caring for him) and does not want to destroy the world. He soon joins the others and helps them destroy his partner in crime. He is killed but is revived as a fellow guardian by a Shinto priest. KING GHIDORAH soon joins Baragon and Varan as guardians of Japan as all three sleep until they are needed again. This story soon twists into the legend of Yamato no Orochi.
600 AD: Mu, a submerged civilization that is one of the few to use and understand Nilai Kinai tech, attacks ancient Greece with their ships and their kaiju MANDA. They eventually are driven off, but the events inspire the myths of Atlantis and many sea serpents.
75,000 YA: A massive nigh indestructible kaiju nicknamed THE GRYPHON awakens and causes the Toba Catastrophe, wiping out most of the human population. He is beaten and sent into hibernation, by a mysterious creature who appeared almost as if out of nowhere…..
79 AD: An unknown kaiju causes Mount Vesuvius to erupt, destroying Pompeii.
1337: A group of knights mention a holy spirit helping them during their quest.
UNKNOWN ERA, PERHAPS RYUKU: KING CAESAR, a living shisa golem, arises to become protector of the royal Azumi family of Okinawa. He holds back theats for many years from both armies and kaiju until one particular day. According to ancient texts, a monster suddenly appeared from the sky. GIGAN, as the beast was named, nearly destroyed them until King Caesar battled him to a draw that ended in both disappearing beneath the Earth. King Caesar was not seen again though a prophecy states he will arise to save the world when he is needed.

1864: Victor Frankenstein creates life by reanimating sewn together body parts with lightning. The creature soon turns against his cruel creator for his treatment and the hatred he receives for his existence. Both eventually die in the Arctic.

1944: A Japanese garrison and American troops aboard the USS Lawton clash on Lagos Island. The battle is interrupted when something massive attacks the two, leaving massive devastation. The few survivors are transported out and live the rest of their lives in mostly silence, with the most noteworthy being biologist William (Bill) Randa and businessman Yasuki Shindo. Most info is hidden but what is heard is hinted that something was there and they had disturbed it. Not only that, but there was more than one…..

1945: The heart of Frankenstein's monster is found and sent to a leading German scientists. However, it is confiscated by the Nazis and shipped to their allies in Japan. It is seemingly lost in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima

1953: Lagos Island is used in a nuclear weapons test.

I will post more soon.

Part 2: Age of Monsters

1954: Mysterious ship disasters lead an investigation to Odo Island. There, a massive creature is discovered. The super fauna from Lagos, mutated and empowered into what will soon become one of the most infamous of all kaiju. GODZILLA. Godzilla eventually makes his way to Japan where he devastates the city and kills many. The creature is eventually killed by Doctor Serizawa, a chemist and WW2 veteran with his Oxygen Destroyer invention. The world is left shaken by the terrible reintroduction of kaiju. As a result, President Truman approves the formation of Monarch, an international group of scientists led and funded by the US government, to deal with unexplained phenomena like this. Unbeknownst to the general public, fringe scientists had been trying to start Monarch for years with Godzilla just being the final push they needed.

1955: A group of hikers discover a pair of SNOWMEN, ape-human hybrids who live in the mountain. The encounter results in the deaths of most of the hikers and the snowmen. It is eventually discovered the two were protecting a young specimen. He is taken and raised in captivity until dying in 2005.

1956: Mining operations uncover two ancient super fauna species. The MEGANULON, a race of bloodthirsty dragonflies (nymphs in this case) and RODAN, massive pterosaur like creatures. The Meganulon are devoured by a Rodan, who eventually escapes with his mate to cause worldwide destruction. Eventually, the two are killed when they are trapped in a volcanic eruption, both refusing to leave the other to die.

1958: The mysterious disappearance of a gangster leads to his girlfriend being investigated by both police, gangsters and a Monarch scientist interested in the event. It is soon discovered a hydrogen bomb test mutated a ship’s crew into inhuman mutants, dissolving people to survive. These H-MAN eventually are trapped and killed in a sewer by self defense forces.

1959: The Atomic Heat Ray, a precursor to the Maser is created.

1960: Reports emerge of a feral monster boy running around Japan. Professor Bowen and Sueko Tagami, a couple of scientists who respectively deal with radiation mutation and human behavior, and cellular biologist Kenichiro Kawaji find and study the boy. Having interviewed those who transported Frankenstein's heart and studying the boy, they soon realize a shocking truth. This boy is FRANKENSTEIN, immortal and mutated. The ever growing boy is reigned in by Bowen and Tagami. However, he escapes and rampages after Kawaji cuts off his hand to study and prove he is Frankenstein to skeptical locals. The military begins to search for Frankenstein, turning to searching to kill after the discovery of missing humans and animals who seemed to have been eaten. Kawagi, after having disappeared, returns and reveals the truth. The hand of Frankenstein he took with him was devoured by one of his octopus test subjects. The mutant OODAKO is the true culprit. After the cephalopod tries to kill Bowen and Tagami, Frankenstein appears and battles it. Eventually, the two fall into the sea to their deaths.

1961: An expedition heads for Infant Island, after a shipwrecked crew reports was the natives held a cure for radiation sickness (the island had become a nuclear testing site for China). Once there, the Shobijin are discovered. They befriend scientific advisor Professor Chujo but are frightened of most of the men. They are soon kidnapped by expedition head Clark Nelson and are put into a degrading show. Mothra rushes after them, causing a trail of destruction from the Pacific to Japan. Eventually, Nelson is killed in a police shootout and the fairies are reunited with Mothra after her rampage through Beijing.

1962: An arctic expedition uncovers massive walrus super fauna MAGUMA. After a brief battle, he is driven off and disappears. Also of note is when famed astronomers noticing a strange object in the sky, a new "star" which they dub” Gorath….

1963: After centuries of silence, Mu returns. They declare all out war on the surface world, with attacks on naval vassals, radio threats and espionage. Unprepared for the war, the world drastically tries to fight back. It is in this chaos Captain Jinguji returns to the world. A WW2 captain who had abandoned society after the war ended, Jinguji had put all his effort into creating a new super weapon to help put Japan back as an imperial power. Now, his Gotengo is Earth’s only hope. Jinguji at first refuses, still hoping to restore Imperial Japan. When his daughter is kidnapped, however, he changes his mind and leads the assault on Mu. It is a tough battle with many losses, but eventually, Earth wins. Mu is left damaged and as an unsteady ally. Manda also disappears after being frozen by the Gotengo's absolute zero cannon. The Gotengo is mostly left in dry dock with some debating upgrades and further use as it is rebuilt.

1964: After the destruction of a space station, mass disappearances of object and people, and stolen diamonds disappearing without a trace, the world fears a new threat has arisen. These fears are confirmed as tentacles descend from the sky itself. DOGORA is an intergalactic alien kaiju, similar to a jellyfish. It came to Earth to feed on carbon and it's alien biology leaves it indestructible. It is eventually killed when it is discovered bee venom breaks it’s structure. In the wake of the 9th kaiju event, the United Nation holds a special meeting which leads to the formation of the Earth Defense Force. The listing is just a fancy term for a general alliance between all nations to share weapons and information to deal with kaiju and to put force an ideal of peace and cooperation in times of crisis. In the wake of the formation, various other anti-kaiju organization form for the various countries involved. America has Monarch, Japan forms the Crisis Control Intelligence with the JSDF, most of Europe collaborates on a special branch of Interpol, and various lower profile agencies for other countries.

1965: After the destruction of a ship, it’s lone survivor rambles that they were attacked by Frankenstein. These rumors are disputed, especially by Bowen and Togami’s protege Akemi Togawa. This changes when a massive creature appears at Haneda airport. The gargantuan creature attacks and eats people before being scared off by sunlight. Theorizing that the creature is wounded by and thus afraid of bright light, lights are used to try and scare him off, causing attacks by the creature go down. Eventually, a military attack is planned against the kaiju. Using the new Type 66 Maser Tanks, the creature is almost killed before a second larger one appears and saves it. It is soon deduced these creatures were spawned by leftover Frankenstein cells, one in the sea and the other on land. More interestingly, Akemi reveals she and her husband Majida raised and studied the larger gargantua, which they named SANDA, before he escaped. Akemi and Majida find Sanda who saves them from a landslide. Sanda finds out his sibling GAIRA has been eating humans and attacks him in anger. The two feuding brothers tear through Tokyo in a heartbreaking battle. The battle ends in a random volcanic eruption where the two disappear, seemingly ending the tale of Frankenstein and his monsters.

1966: After what had seemed like years of relative tranquility, Godzilla returns. A new specimen, theorized to be another specimen from Lagos, he tears through the new nuclear power plants and super weapons. Soon, the only thing standing between him and Tokyo is the Gotengo. The super sub barely holds it own before Godzilla knocks it to the ground. In the chaos, young private Douglas Gordon gets an idea and sets off the Absolute Zero Cannon. It freezes the ground and sea around them, which shatters under Godzilla’s feet, knocking him into the sea. Godzilla emerges from the now glacier cold water. He seems to stare at all of Japan with a sneer. Then for some reason no one can agree on, be it the cold, his own will, boredom, fear or just because can, he bellows before returning to the sea. The shaken world responds by building newer, more advanced weaponry and trying to find alternative energy sources that will not draw the monster king’s ire.

1967: Mason Thrust, a big game hunter and oil tycoon, reveals his latest test of the Polar Boer drill did not go well. He then goes on an expedition and disappears for weeks. The rest of the crew eventually returns but what happened is unknown until many years after. It turns out the original test discovered a hollow cavern in the Earth, a lost world of monsters. Intrigued, Thrust began the expedition to visit the cavern and hunt it’s amazing creatures. The expedition soon discovers many evolved versions of extinct creatures, such as GIANT TRICERATOPS, GIANT PTERANODON, GIANT UINTATHERIUM, and GIANT SEA SERPENTS. However, they soon run afoul of the apex predator of this land, the mighty dinosaur GOROSAURUS. After many close calls, the survivors eventually got the Polar Boer out of his lair and escaped to the surface. Thrust refused to come, determined to hunt what he considered an enemy not so different from himself. Unable to come back, they were forced to leave him. In 1999, Gorosaurus reappears in Australia. Further expeditions never find Thrust or any evidence of what happened.

1968: The Vietnam War is briefly put on hold, in a way, when the bombings awaken a massive burrowing kaiju. Identified as an Angilas archosaur or ANGUIRUS, he begins to rampage through the country before being driven out of Vietnam by a Maser squadron. The war then continues on as normal.

1970: After losing contact with the Helios 7 space probe, a CCI group is sent in secret to it’s crash site on Selgio Island. Once there, they discover the locals acting extremely odd. It soon turns out some type of amoeba like space alien was onboard the ship. Now it is possessing people and declaring itself a god. Even worse, it has mutated and possessed local animals to create kaiju warriors. Theses consist of cuttlefish GEZORA, a pair of GANIMES rock crabs, and the massive mata-mata turtle KAMOEBAS. The alien is eventually killed by exploiting it’s weakness to fire and high sound waves, and the humans escape as the monsters fight to the death as the island is destroyed by volcanic activity.

1971: New Kamoebas are spotted in the South Pacific, revealing the Selgio individual's gigantism was not due to the alien. Due to their relatively placid nature, they are mostly ignored unless they attack an island or ship.

1973: Monarch begins an expedition to an unknown island, spoken of in myths and legends as the mysterious Skull Island. Accompanying the Monarch experts are a Landsat crew, photographer Mason Weaver, SAS tracker James Conrad, and the Sky Devils helicopter crew. They arrive on Skull Island and do a bombing run to test the hollow earth theory pushed by Monarch researchers Bill Randa and Houston Brooks, they deduced by their research and clandestine interviews with the Polar Borer survivors. Their actions anger a massive ape which destroys their helicopters and disappears. Trekking through the island in individual groups, the teams find out the truth of the island. Mainly, this comes from the local Iwi people and stranded WW2 pilot Hank Marlow. The ape is KING KONG, the last of a mighty race of apes who protects the island and its inhabitants from threats such as the voracious subterranean SKULLCRAWLERS, who wiped out the rest of Kong's kind. The two teams walk the island and discover many of its bizarre and otherworldly fauna such as the SKER BUFFALO, MOTHER LONGLEGS, LEAFWINGS, SPORE MANTIS, MIRE SQUID, GIANT SNAKE, ICARUS TIGER, PSYCHOVULTURE, DEATH JACKAL, SWAMP LOCUST, MAGMA TURTLE and SIREN JAW. They eventually meet up and argue about what to do with Kong as Sky Devil captain Colonel Packard wants to kill the beast in retribution for his slaughtered soldiers. The others try to stop this both so they can all escape and due to Kong’s benevolent nature, not to mention the threat of the Skullcrawlers outweighing any hostility from Kong. They fail to come to an agreement, and Packard attacks as Weaver, Conrad, and Marlow beg him to see reason. Packard’s attacks wound Kong and waken a massive Skullcrawler, which Kong eventually kills in a duel. Eventually, with heavy losses, the survivors leave with the tale of Skull Island.

1976: Fred Wilson, an advertiser for the Petrox oil company, hears the story of Kong and sets up an expedition to Skull Island. He hopes to capture Kong and make him an ad symbol. Many consider this idea stupid but Fred is sure it will work. His plans are sabotaged by Weaver, Conrad, Marlow and primatologist Jack Prescott. Their arguments about Kong are interrupted by the ape itself. He attacks them and ends up dragging off part of the ship, unknowingly containing Jack’s girlfriend Dwan. Wilson starts a rescue mission which he hopes will lead to the capture of Kong. The rescue mission ends in a lot of death. Meanwhile, Kong finds Dwan and the two form a bond, especially as he protects her from the menaces of Skull Island. Eventually, the rescue mission finds Kong and knocks him out with chloroform after the ape is wounded battling a pack of Mother Longlegs to protect Dwan. He is taken to New York for Petrox’s massive advertising celebration. (To levy some blame off himself, Wilson gives the Iwi tacky gifts and hires a Maser squadron to deal with the Skullcrawlers). The event goes well until Kong believes Dwan is being hurt. At that point, the ape become angry and King Kong escapes. He causes chaos through the city from both willful destruction and confused terror. Eventually, after a battle with helicopters atop the Empire State Building, Kong is led back on the ship and returns to Skull Island.

1991: One of the Ghidorahs, dubbed Desghidorah awakens in Hokkaido after a industrialist unwittingly disturbs it’s tomb. Mothra returns to the world to defeat him. She is aided by her successor and reincarnation, a larva. The first battle does not go well, ending with a critically wounded Mothra escaping with her child. The current Mothra dies and her larva cocoons into an imago to become the new Mothra. She soon confronts Desghidorah but can not defeat it. Suddenly, the JSDF appears and helps drive Desghidorah off. Eventually, she seals Desghidorah back into his tomb and leaves, her faith in the world restored just a bit.

1992: A Nial Kinai temple rises and Daghara return off the coast of Australia. He causes chaos and death with his BAREM, mutant starfish-like creatures that poison anything they come across. Mothra and Battra both arrive to deal with him. This causes a problem as they both nearly destroy each other over their old bad blood. This ends up giving Daghara the distraction he needs to try and kill them both. The two decide the enemy of their enemy is worse and work together to try and defeat him. However, they still aren’t strong enough. Help comes from an unlikely source, as a young girl has befriended the last GHOGO, a Nilai Kinai creature that can access it’s magic. They open the temple to give the two a power boost. They use it to finally kill Daghara, ending the legacy of Nial Kinai for good. However, despite their better standing, the feud still exists…..

1994: Sunken ships from Japan to the Eastern Seaboard bring fears Godzilla has returned. These fears are seemingly confirmed when the culprit, a massive reptilian creature with a spiked back, appears New York and cuts a path of destruction through the metropolis before disappearing. Experts are sent in and the US Army prepares for the first American kaiju attack in 18 years. However, a trap set up instead reveals a very different beast. In reality, the creature causing trouble was a lesser mutated megafauna (A popular theory being the creature is a mimic that acts similar to and looks like Godzilla to deter predators, ala the king snake and the coral snake). ZILLA as the beast is infamously nicknamed escapes the ambush and disappears. Mutated animal expert Niko “Nick” Tatopoulos discovers this is because Zilla is a female, in New York to breed. Nick along with a French Interpol task force (sent to secretly help kill the creature due to it being made/awakened by French nukes), his reporter fiancee Audrey and her cameraman invade Zilla’s nest in Madison Square Garden while the army seemingly kills Zilla. The eggs hatch and the hungry young hunt the humans as prey, mistaking them for food due to the fish smell on them. They eventually escape with heavy losses and call in an airstrike on the dome. Zilla, alive and well, arrives and angrily chases the humans. She is eventually killed after getting tangled in the Brooklyn Bridge and being killed by a Maser squadron.

1995-1998: In the aftermath of the Zilla incident, Nick finds a surviving egg. The creature hatches and imprints on Nick. In secret, Nick raises the creature while forming HEAT, the Humanitarian Environmental Analysis Team who deal with mutants. The team consists of Nick, paleontologist Elsie Chapman, hacker and intern Randy Hernandez, tech expert Mendel Craven, and French agent Monique Dupre. The now adult Zilla is discovered, but when you're dealing with mutant animals, a 60 meter tall fire breathing iguana isn’t that bad an ally, so the world uneasily lets Zilla live. The team spends the next 3 years dealing with an almost astronomical amount of mutants and other threats. The list is provided below

Sir/madam, this whole thing should be its own television series. It's incredible how well thought out it is.

Thanks for the kind words here and on the discussion page! Now that I have a new computer, I can finally continue adding onto this.

Part 3: Past Sins
1999: Godzilla returns to Japan. Through the year, he makes multiple strikes on the country. His first appearance is during a major typhoon, where he appears and begins to slowly move through it, basking in the storm and absorbing the lightning that hits him. During this initial appearance, a group of Maser tanks attempt to stop him. A combination of his sheer strength and the rain-weakened Masers means Godzilla easily obliterated their forces. Of special notice during these events is young private Akane Yashiro accidentally pushing a car containing many of her fellow soldiers in Godzilla’s path, inadvertently killing them, which leads to her being scapegoated for the whole mess. Godzilla than makes multiple raids from Tokai, where he attacks the last nuclear power plant, to Nemuro, where he stalks through the city before destroying a electrical plant. One group who is especially busy during these events is the Godzilla Prediction Network. A independent network of scientists, the group operates to predict and study Godzilla to prevent disaster. It is run by Yui Shinoda, a man who has been obsessed with the beast after being caught in his 1966 rampage. Yui follows Godzilla through Japan with his surprisingly mature daughter Io and reluctant reporter Yuki Ichinose. During these events, CCI is trying to stop Godzilla. Yui disagrees with them, feeling like Godzilla is a force of nature man can barely hope to understand, let alone destroy. CCI is also busy studying a mysterious fossil found in the Mariana Trench. The day it is brought up from the depths, the fossil suddenly begins to move when exposed to sunlight. It FLIES away, soon coming across a Godzilla/CCI standoff. The rock stands still before flying up to Godzilla. The monster king snarls before blasting the rock with his atomic breath, revealing a shiny and glittering surface. In retaliation, the rock then blasts Godzilla back with a massive laser beam, knocking the monster to the ground. Godzilla roars and blasts at it but it ignores the attacks and flies off. The rock sheds it’s covering, revealing a floating UFO. The CCI heads (Shinoda's old college friend Shiro Miyasaka and cocky and cool Katagiri) try to figure out how to deal with actual aliens, having no idea such a thing is possible (The US having buried any evidence of aliens encountered by HEAT) The GPN appears and agrees to work with them to figure out what to do. Meanwhile, Godzilla makes slow but sure progress to confront the UFO. The two groups working together soon find out a lot of information. The main thing they discover is Regenerator G1, a compound in Godzilla cells that instantly heals him of his injuries. The UFO is also theorized to have crashed long ago and to have been dormant until sunlight woke it up. The UFO suddenly changes course and, tearing through military forces, lands atop City Tower and begins to steal data from it. Katagiri orders it destroyed but this is delayed when it is discovered Yuki is still in there. GPN runs in and out with her with them barely escaping the blast, which fails to destroy the ship. They did find out what the UFO is doing, however. It’s studying Godzilla. They realize the aliens must not be able to live on Earth and want Godzilla and his Regenerator G1 to make a body suitable for the climate. At that moment, a roar echoes through the night. Godzilla has arrived. He clashes with the UFO, gaining the upper hand until the UFO drops a building on him. Wounded, he is powerless to stop the aliens as they absorb his DNA. Before the GPN and CCI’s eyes, a bizarre alien body appears. Just as it forms, it begins to twist and contort. Godzilla’s DNA is too erratic for them, mutating them. Just as Godzilla reappears from the wreckage, a misshapen beast appears. The aliens have morphed into a new horrifying organism. ORGA attacks Godzilla, the two clashing claws and beams. Godzilla destroys the UFO but Orga soon begins to gain the upperhand, biting Godzilla to absorb his DNA and mutating closer and closer to the monster king. Just as the beast is beginning to swallow Godzilla whole, he glows a bright orange and in a single blast of pure nuclear energy, kills Orga and devastates the area. He roars in victory as Shiro notes the irony of Orga’s fate, going from a all powerful being who lived thousands of years to a primeval brute who died in minutes in the name of perfection. Godzilla notices the humans and steps forward. He glares at Katagiri, almost as if he can sense the trouble the human brought both him directly and indirectly. Katagiri smokes and glares back, unflinching even as Godzilla’s claw smashes him where he stands. The survivors muse on Godzilla, the indestructible force made by man and what he means, unable to do nothing but watch as the dreaded god burns Tokyo to the ground…..

2000: A uranium mine collapse in the Philippines catches Monarch’s attention. They send Doctors Ishiro Yamane and Vivian Graham to investigate, who find the fossilized skeleton of a Godzilla ancestor, as well as a pair of cocoons. One closed with the other open. They soon discover a tunnel and using various sightings, realize whatever hatched out is heading to Japan. At the same time, mysterious tremors have been plaguing the Janjira energy research centers. Engineer Joseph Brody and his wife Sandra investigate the tremors, only for Joseph to realize the tremors are increasing. A massive earthquake hits and causes a radiation rupture. Joe runs down to the site, trying to meet up with Sandra, who was checking the lines when the attack happened and now is racing for her life with her coworkers to escape. She and the others can’t make it in time, so Joe has no choice but to shut the doors, dooming them. He can only choke out a goodbye before he evacuates as the plant collapses. The CCI soon takes over the area, keeping it under quarantine long after the radiation should have dispersed for unknown reason, with help from Monarch. This causes Joe to detect a conspiracy that he digs to uncover, his obsession pushing away his son Ford.

2001: After 6 years of development, one of mankind’s ultimate weapons is created. The Dimension Tide. Created by CCI’s new division G-Graspers, the machine shoots a controlled black hole that is believed to tear a hole through space and time. The plan is find Godzilla, get him to stay still long enough to fire, and hopefully finally be rid of him. Currently, tests are being run on the machine. However, a Godzilla sighting in the Pacific and the lingering memory of the events in Tokyo push it into overdrive. The machine is tested in a remote part of Japan. The test goes well until something BIG comes out of the black hole and disappears without a trace. G-Graspers is too concerned with the mysterious object to notice something much smaller leave as well. Young Jun Hayasaka, a bug loving boy, investigates the area after secretly spying on the test. He ends up finding the rotting body of an insect and a bizarre egg. He takes it with him during his move to Nagoya. The egg soon begins to mutate so Jun dumps it. Days later, and things aren’t going well for Nagoya. Parts of the city are flooding and people are going missing. Eventually, G-Grasper stops the Dimension Tide plans to figure out what’s going on. G-Grasper captain Kiriko Tsujimori eventually finds out what happened from Jun. Further investigation reveals the truth. The Dimension Tide has let through a pack of Meganulon. Kiriko’s task force takes on the bugs and tries to exterminate them. However, Godzilla is spotted and they are forced to leave it up to the SDF. The plan goes through with Kiriko planting a tracker on the beast before luring him to a remote island with the help of special Griffon jets. Just as it seems like they have it, the same massive shape reappears destroys part of the squadron. The Meganulon weren’t the only ones to get though, as the mysterious object turns out to be a new Rodan. Rodan and Godzilla soon get into a brawl which drives them away from the island. G-Graspers desperately tries to catch up with them. Meanwhile, the Meganulon have disappeared. The SDF soon finds them, having begun a metamorphosis into their next form. Before the horrified eyes of the citizens, the MEGANULA take flight. The dragonflies soon attack the Griffons, Rodan and Godzilla. The swarm absorbs some of their energy like mosquitoes before they are quickly eliminated. G-Grasper takes the distraction and tries the attack on Godzilla. It simply drives him underground, where he emerges before chasing Rodan. The surviving Meganula return to Nagoya where they dive into the flooded streets before washing up dead. G-Graspers soon theroizes there is yet another part to the insect’s life cycle. Their fears are confirmed when a massive Meganula emerges, causing chaos as she flies off at Mach 4. MEGAGUIRUS, the Meganula queen, has come. Eventually, Megaguirus, Rodan, and Godzilla all convene in Shibuya and get in a battle royale. Godzilla is overwhelmed with his quick foes, with Rodan also having difficulty with Megaguirus’s fireballs. After a general stalemate, Godzilla gains the upper hand by destroying Megaguirus’s stinger, using the distraction to hit her with his atomic breath, killing the 358 million year old monster. Now, he and Rodan battle it out alone. During all this, it is discovered illegal nuclear plants built by the CCI have been luring Godzilla to the country. With the use of a Griffon as a target, Kiriko is able to let the Dimension Tide lock on to the dueling saurians. It hits the city and seemingly takes out both Godzilla and Rodan. Japan is left hoping they succeeded as they clean up the mess left behind.

2002: A nuclear submarine goes missing off the coast of Japan, leading to fears Godzilla has returned. However, analysis based off the scant images found show it is not even remotely similar to the one Japan has been dealing with since the 60s. In fact, it almost looks identical to the one from 1954. Dismissing it as another specimen, the JSDF prepares for battle. However, bizarre happenings are going on in Japan. Tunnel collapses, a slaughtered group of teenage hooligans found in a lake, and a man raving about the rebirth of Yamato no Orochi after a suicide attempt. Young reporter Yuri Tachibana soon finds a disgraced old man named Hirotoshi Ishyama who tells her what seems like madness. However, it is so fitting to the situation Yuri tells her father Admiral Taizo Tachibana and the JSDF. According to the old man, the new Godzilla is the old one. He has been resurrected to punish Japan by the spirits of those who fell to the Imperial war machine in World War 2, be they slaughtered civilians or soldiers who gave their lives to the cause, all angry about Japan ignoring their suffering in their desperation to forget the war and move on. Japan’s only hope lies in the reawakening guardians. Baragon, God of the Earth. Varan, God of The Sea. King Ghidorah, God of The Sky. The JSDF is skeptical but two things change their mind. 1. Baragon suddenly appears in Japan (nigh identical to drawings in old books) walking towards the coast. 2. Godzilla appears and he is definitely not the old one. He has an almost blank look and a downright sadistic streak as he rampages, actually going out of his way to kill civilians. The JSDF admits that as bizarre as this is, they don’t really have any other choice but to accept it. They attack the newly dubbed GHOST GODZILLA as he rampages towards Hakone. He easily destroys their planes before coming across Baragon. Despite his determination and quick wits, the small monster fails to stop Ghost Godzilla. Meanwhile, Varan emerges from the depths of Lake Ikeda while Ishiyama wakes King Ghidorah. The Tachibanas are also busy, Taizo planning an assault against Ghost Godzilla with the new D-O3 drill missiles and Yuri following Ghost Godzilla to report on his movements with her crew. All of them soon collide in Yokohama. Varan and Ghidorah try to kill Ghost Godzilla, with him easily holding them off. The D-O3 strike misses and nearly ends up killing all of the troops as Ghost Godzilla turns his wrath on them. Varan sacrifices himself to save the survivors by distracting and taking Ghost Godzilla’s breath. Just as Varan dies, his energy is transferred to the comatose Ghidorah. The boost along with the bits of his shine given by Ishyama allows the immature space hydra to become a true Ghidorah. He easily begins to battle Ghost Godzilla, forcing him to the water. During all this, Taizo notices Ghidorah has made a chink in Ghost Godzilla’s impenetrable hide. He goes into the Satsuma sub tipped with D-O3 missiles to try and end this. Yuri knows she can’t stop him despite her pleas but knows there is something she can do. She reports on the situation, how man and monster alike are sacrificing everything as they are determined to fight for Japan and its future. To try and protect our children to make a new and better world. Japan places all it’s hope in the God and the Admiral. Almost as if he is mocking their hope, Ghost Godzilla absorbs Ghidorah's gravity bolts and use his enhanced beam to kill the guardian. However, the spirits of all the guardian monsters appear and force him into the depths. There is silence until Ghost Godzilla rises, roaring in anger. Just as he tries to kill Yuri, his blast redirects through a hole in his shoulder. He dies, sinking deep into the waves. Japan celebrates. Taizo had got a shot in during all the confusion (from inside Ghost Godzilla of all things!) and reunites with Yuri. Aside from some worrying rumors about a beating heart and the disturbing revelation Ishiyama has been dead for 3 years, everything is mostly fine. The Tachibanas and most of Japan go out of their ways to salute the soldiers and guardians who gave their lives as well as hope those spirits find peace. Japan is calm once again. However, Yuri can’t help but wonder. The old man said Godzilla’s spirit was angry too but specified the demon didn’t care about the war. So, what angered the original Godzilla enough to resurrect? …..

2003: In a surprising conference, the CCI reveals their latest and greatest weapon to fight back against Godzilla. KIRYU or Mechagodzilla MFT 3 is an amazing cyborg, built around the bones of the original Godzilla and bristling with nearly every weapon made by man, including an upgraded Absolute Zero Cannon, one of only two weapons known to harm Godzilla. The pilot is Akane Yashiro, who, to deal with her trauma and guilt from the events of ‘99. has devoted herself to become the ultimate pilot. Her obsession soon gets to the point she believes her own life is worthless if she can’t fight. The public is mostly receptive to Kiryu, though there are a few outliers. (Politicians complaining about the cost, skeptics about Kiryu’s effectiveness, people understandably wondering how CCI hid this thing's creation for 4 years, and a few pro-kaiju groups calling out against the machine’s intentions and creation.) In the meantime, Kiryu is prepped for eventual battle as Akane gets used to life in the new Kiryu Squadron base. She deals with antagonism from Susume Hayama, who despises her for inadvertently killing his brother, and forms a relationship with Kiryu biotech builder, Tokumitsu Yuhara, and his daughter Sara. Sara and Akane form a bond due to Sara’s fascination with life after the tragic loss of her mother, and Sara tries to convince Akane her life is worth more than just a pilot. All of this is cut short when Godzilla appears in Nagoya, having finally freed himself from the Dimension Tide’s final act. Kiryu is dispatched to finally fight his organic counterpoint. Kiryu lands and prepares for confrontation. Godzilla stands there, stunned by what he is looking at. Kiryu attacks the distracted Godzilla but just as Kiryu is going to land the finishing blow, he roars. It disables Kiryu while Godzilla returns to the sea, clearly shaken by the encounter. As Akane tries to reactivate Kiryu from within her cockpit, the machine suddenly reawakens, eyes glowing a rage filled scarlet. He roars a digitized Godzilla roar before attacking the Griffons. Driving them off, he begins a rampage through the city before finally running out of power and shutting down. The world rightfully turns on Kiryu, asking Japan what the hell they were thinking building this thing. As the CCI tries desperately to quell anger, the Kiryu team works overtime on the mech. Theorizing Godzilla’s roar reawakened something in Kiryu’s DNA computer to reactivate the original Godzilla’s mind and instincts, the team tries to figure out how to deal with a literal ghost in the machine. (Though to be specific, it is less ghost, more clone of the orginal). Meanwhile, Akane feels closer to Kiryu due to them both being creatures made to kill Godzilla. Sara interjects that Kiryu has the right to live and decide if it wants to fight. Akane’s musings on this are interrupted when Godzilla returns. Vengeful at the humans for the disrespect they have done, Godzilla begins to destroy Osaka. Kiryu heads out and begins to confront Godzilla. It is a true battle, with both doing their best to destroy the other. However, Kiryu loses power and gets knocked down. The CCI quickly connects him to the power grid but he can’t be controlled by the Griffon so Akane heads down to pilot. However, Kiryu still refuses to turn on. Turning off the comms, Akane begs Kiryu to help her, as all of these people deserve to live, just like them. Kiryu suddenly turns back on and slams into Godzilla, who was distracted dealing with a Hayama led Griffon attack. Grabbing the monster monarch, the two fly out to sea, with Akane activating the Absolute Zero Cannon. They crash into the sea in a huge explosion of ice.
Silence. Godzilla bursts out, badly wounded, holding Kiryu. He tries to retaliate but stops and instead turns away. Akane climbs out of Kiryu, watching as Godzilla swims back to the sea. The world is in awe, the first time Godzilla has ever lost a fight. Akane just watches, musing on what happens when Godzilla returns…

2004: Things have been cold since the showdown in Osaka. Kiryu has been undergoing repairs with Godzilla only being seen in the rare sighting. However, not all is calm. Akane and Yuhara have left the squadron, having accepted Kiryu as a living being and wanting to allow him some peace instead of using him as a weapon, their departure pushed by CCI dampening Kiryu's DNA and biotech to silence the organic parts of Kiryu. The CCI tries to get the two back, which is not helped by their current situation. Their shady tactics along with the chaos caused by the awoken Millenians (as the Orga aliens have been dubbed), Dimension Tide, berserk Kiryu, and many other shady acts revealed has caused many to demand the group shuts down. In the middle of all this, a kaiju attack happens out of nowhere when Battra suddenly appears and ravages Hokkaido. This is compounded by a brief confrontation between Air Force pilots and Mothra in the sky above Honolulu. Professor Chujo soon appears with the Shobijin, giving a warning. The spirits of the world are angry at humans disrespecting the dead with Kiryu and the original Godzilla’s spirit. If they return the bones to the sea, the spirits like Mothra and Battra will calm themselves and will even help defend Japan from threats in Kiryu’s place. But if they do not, the spirits will declare war on mankind and Japan. The CCI and government debate as Mothra tries to quell her sibling’s rage. These events conflict Chujo’s grandson Yoshito, an engineer on Kiryu. He wants to keep people safe by using Kiryu to defend Japan but he also sees Akane, Mothra, and his grandfather’s point, which also helped by his experience with and bond with the machine. Things escalate when a slaughtered pack of Kamoebas wash ashore. Kaijuolgists can only conclude Godzilla did this. Preparations for Kiryu begin, which angers Battra who attacks the mech in the hanger. Mothra appears, summoned by Choju and Yoshito’s brother, and forces her brother away, eventually dueling him in the rebuilding Tokyo. As this conflict escalates, a roar suddenly breaks the sky. Godzilla has arrived. He quickly smashes his way through the troops in his way and tries to destroy the city. The two guardians drop their battle and head to face Godzilla. He easily begins to fight them, the two desperately trying to hold him back. Kiryu’s preparations finish and, with Akane reluctantly piloting due to all the other pilots dying in Battra's assault, Kiryu joins the duel, blasting at Godzilla. Yoshito notices something at this point, how Godzilla seems less quick and more violent in his movement. He soon realizes the truth just as Kiryu lands a critical blow. Godzilla bellows and collapses, as something dark leaks from his wound. Before Japan’s horrified eyes, a being coalesces in front of them. The original spirit who came to punish Japan for Kiryu, possessing Godzilla to gain his power. A haunting roar hits the sky. Ghost Godzilla has returned. The rageful demon begins to battle the combined monsters, easily thwarting them. In quick order, he disables Kiryu and kills Battra. His confrontation with Mothra is interrupted when her offspring, a pair of twin larva arrive to help. They outwit him but he soon corners them. Mothra sacrifices herself to save them, dying in a explosion of beautiful proportions. At the same time, Yoshito climbs into Kiryu to repair him. Suddenly, Godzilla awakens. He roars at his malevolent counterpart as he steps into the fight, helping the enraged larva battle him. Kiryu comes back online and, with Yoshito still inside, rushes into the battle. The 4 monsters subdue the beast, the twins webbing him up. Thrashing, Ghost Godzilla is helpless. The CCI orders Akane to fire all weapons upon him. Kiryu readies his weapons upon the ancient monster. Suddenly he stops and shuts down. The CCI and Akane ask what’s happening. Yoshito responds. He has turned off all the circuits dampening Kiryu’s organic DNA computers. Kiryu is a living being, not a machine. He can choose what happens now. Utter silence befalls the battlefield. All wait in tense silence as Kiryu slowly comes back online with red eyes.
He steps forward and grabs the thrashing cocoon containing Ghost Godzilla, his raging spirit, his counterpart. Jets activate and Kiryu takes off. He prepares a landing in the middle of the ocean. Just as he is about to crash, a pair of escape pods are shot out, containing Akane and Yoshito. As the stunned humans watch, an online message appears in their pods.

They fall just as Kiryu drops into the ocean. They climb out and watch as Kiryu and Ghost Godzilla, united and pacified, sink into the depths, never to return. They give one last salute to their comrade. In Japan, Godzilla stands still, watching he sky. He gives a long, mournful roar before walking into the depths, perhaps going to join his ancestors in rest. With a final goodbye, the larva and the Shobijin leave. Japan watches them leave. They have suffered, but now, they, like their fallen ally Kiryu, may rest.

Well.

This has been a while hasn't it.

Sorry to anyone who was interested in this. To be honest, I've been swamped with school lately, as well as the fact KOTM MAJOLY shook up my plans for this. I abandoned it for quite some time, but through some weird bit of fate, I ended up looking this up and deciding I wanted to continue it.

I'll be editing some of the older bits (partially changing the continuity and adding new ideas, and partially fixing some of the sections I'm not as fond of. Seriously, the fuck is that doorstopper for GTS? And why'd I hate sentences longer then 9 words?) but for now, have the last section I was working on.

Part 4: Destroy All Monsters!

2006: 2 years of peace end when the entire Earth gets a simultaneous transmission. A race of alien conquerors known as the Vortaak have arrived on Earth. They plan to conquer the planet, subjugate humanity as slaves, and plunder our resources because, to quote the transmission, “it’s what we do.” If that wasn’t bad enough, the Vortaak soon reveal their invasion plan. Instead of directly attacking with their forces, they have mind controlled a large amount of monsters to do their bidding. Within minutes of the transmission, the Vortaak attack. Soon, their monster army (consisting of Anguirus, a giant mutant LIGHTNING BUG, the mysterious monster known as THE VISITOR, a revived Desghidorah, Megalon, Gorosaurus, and Megaguirus) begin to destroy the Earth. All hope seems lost until a desperate report comes from Odo Island. Godzilla has returned and he is confronting Anguirus. The JSDF (now in charge of kaiju events due to CCI’s disbandment not long after the events of 2004) realize Godzilla hasn’t been mind controlled. Arriving just after Godzilla has knocked the archosaur unconscious, they call forth a Griffon to attack Godzilla. Annoyed by the pest, Godzilla begins to follow it. In this way, the JSDF is able to lead Godzilla thought the world to face off against the Vortaak army. Godzilla soon begins to defeat them, angering the Vortaak. After Godzilla kills Desghidorah, the Vortaak have enough. They teleport him to their mothership where they reveal their trump card: an alien nanometal with the ability to shift it’s form to fight foes, which they have dubbed BERSERK. Berserk and Godzilla soon begin to battle, with the ever-evolving machine getting an advantage when it shifts into a Godzilla esque form. Just as Godzilla is beginning to get overwhelmed, he is saved by the arrival of the Mothra twins, now imagos, and the JSDF. While the kaiju deal with Berserk, the JSDF begin to destroy the mothership. Godzilla soon kills Berserk by blasting him into the main control tower. Realizing they're screwed, the Vortaak teleport Godzilla off the ship and flee with the survivors of their army. The Mothras return to Infant Island, Anguirus and Gorosaurus are moved to Monster Island, and Godzilla returns to the depths, having saved mankind instead of destroying it.

2007: Just when it seemed as if everything had returned to normal, the Vortaak return. It turns out the invasion force was simply a mere quarter of the Vortaak fleet. This time, the entire fleet and their queen Vortica will conquer the Earth and they are prepared to make sure they win. They begin their assault by attacking the Earth with their ships, destroying cities and cornering areas off with force fields. To make sure they do not have to deal with their interference, the Vortaak also bomb Infant Island and Monster Island. The attacks slaughters many kaiju on Monster Island, as well as killing the Mothras on Infant Island. Luckily, the two had created an egg with their powers combined. The new larva is able to escape with her people, and after evacuating them to a new island, begins to battle the ships where she can (limited due to the larva's age and weakness).
Meanwhile, the attack on Monster Island has seriously pissed off many of it’s inhabitants. Zilla, Komodithrax, Anguirus and Gorosaurus go their separate ways to fight back. Joining this resistance to save the Earth, the CCI’s last abandoned project, the mecha MOGUERA is taken to join the fight by a ragtag crew of GPN volunteers. The Vortakk are more than prepared for them however. They have a new monster army, which consists of Lightning Bug, The Visitor, a new Berserk in permanent Godzilla mode, Megalon, and Megaguirus, as well as brainwashing Baragon, Varan, and King Ghidorah to help them. This time, it seems humanity is in serious trouble.

The only question is where is Godzilla in all this?

As it turns out, he wasn't far. The monster king sensed something and began to move inland. He ends up trapped on Letchi Island by a forcefield. Unbeknownst to the rest of the world, Letchi Island is the base of the communist terrorists known as the Red Bamboo, who had struck a deal with the Vortaak to have access to the Earth after they win. Unfortunately for the Red Bamboo, they seem to have forgotten they are dealing with Godzilla. He almost comically make his way through their arsenal while quickly making short work of their mutant kaiju bodyguards EBIRAH, KAMACURAS, and KUMONGA. This tale soon ends up known from surviving Ebirah, Kamacuras, and a surprisingly fine Kumonga as well as eyewitness testimony from the lone survivors. After curiously investigating the core of the island, Godzilla breaks free and heads to confront the monster army. Just in time as well. Despite a monster alliance, Earth’s monsters have only done so much damage to the Vortaak army in their worldwide battle. Gorosaurus has disappeared, the same for a freed Megaguirus, and Zilla has been brainwashed as well. Godzilla’s arrival in Tokyo instantly changes the tide. Understandably worried, Vortica summons Megalon, Zilla and Berserk to Tokyo to confront Godzilla. Godzilla bests Megalon and frees Zilla (who gets out of dodge as fast as he is able before resurfacing to help his mate and Anguirus battle Lightning Bug and Visitor in London) but struggles with Berserk. That is, until Moguera arrives. The two work together just well enough to defeat the beast. Just as the two are beginning to breathe, a roar splits the sky. Vortica laughs as she gives a worldwide transmission. She has stolen from the CCI a secret DNA vault of all kaiju. Most of it, she ignored.
Most but the ultimate weapon she found within.
Godzilla cells.
Combining them with a powerful space organism of their home galaxy, she has created her ultimate weapon. Crystals begin to form in Tokyo and a massive beast levitates out from the sky.
SPACEGODZILLA has arrived.
Godzilla begins to battle his cosmic clone with Moguera and it’s crew trying desperately to provide support. Creating a fortress of crystals to power himself, Spacegodzilla easily takes the advantage. Just as he begins to defeat Godzilla, he stops. Vortica returns with a transmission. Her angry insults to make the monster fight soon turns to screams of horror. Spacegodzilla was never under her control. He was just following her to reach his other. Now that he has Godzilla, he uses his psychic powers and crystal energy to destroy the ships, crashing them, with the massive mothership landing off the bay of New York. The ships’ destruction cause Lightning Bug and The Visitor to collapse, as well as free the Guardians. They quickly rush to confront Spacegodzilla in Tokyo. Meanwhile, Moguera’s crew realizes if they can destroy enough crystals, they can weaken Spacegodzilla enough for Godzilla to turn the tide. They begin to do so, which angers Spacegodzilla. He attacks the mech, defeating it and the newly arrived Guardians. Suddenly, a beam hits his back. Godzilla’s back and his body language is clear: Spacegodzilla will not live for trying to usurp his throne. He battles Spacegodzilla in a two-way beatdown which ends when Godzilla smashes one of Spacegodzilla’s shoulder crystal. Realizing it’s a weak point, Godzilla and Moguera concentrate their beams on the other. A massive explosion shakes the ground as it is destroyed. A miniature black hole forms, which begins to drag Spacegodzilla in. Godzilla resists the crystal creature's attempts to drag him in and imprisons him on the other side with a final atomic blast. The world celebrates Godzilla and Moguera's victory as the respective monsters return their separate ways. Anguirus, Zilla and Komodithrax returns to Monster Island, Mothra and Battra to Infant Island, the Yamato Guardians to their resting places, and Godzilla, with a final roar to the sea, where he disappears after another mysterious stop at Letchi. Meanwhile, on the human side, Moguera’s crew is praised for their efforts. They soon help form a new anti-kaiju force with the JSDF and GPN called the Global Defense Force (GDF). They soon begin to help repair operations, as well as containing Visitor and Lightning Bug. Construction also begins on a improved Moguera and MECHAGODZILLA 3 (a completely cybernetic prototype of Kiryu that was phased out in favor of the cyborg version.)

2010: A massive meteor shower suddenly appears in Earth’s atmosphere and devastates the planet. More chaos follows as massive crystals begin to grow where they fell, bringing intense environmental havoc, as they terraform the areas they are in. Sydney becomes a glacial wasteland, Osaka fills with toxic gas, Seattle is overwhelmed by volcanic activity, Tokyo floods, Cario begins to float, and many other phenomena make most of the world’s major cities unrecognizable. However, the main danger comes from the crystals themselves. They contain immense energy, which attracts kaiju. Some heal, some give more power, and others cause random Power Surges. Most dangerous of all is if a kaiju destroys a large amount of crystals, they go into Critical Mass, where there skin becomes burning hot and they gain enhanced power. This attracts kaiju around the world to the crystals and causes the greatest territory war in the history of kaiju. In the wake of the disaster, many of those participating were identified as belonging to a certain faction (mainly to make sure human forces did not attack a friendly or allow a hostile), though these terms fell out of use after the epidemic ended.
The Earth Defenders consisted of kaiju who triedto destroy crystals but had little to no empathy for humanity, with a few exceptions. This group includes Godzilla, Mothra, Anguirus, Baragon, Varan, King Ghidorah, Battra, Zilla and a reawakened Mu gargoyle named the FIRELION. The GDT sent out mecha to face off against crystals and kaiju to protect the world, with the GDT ranks consisting of Moguera, Mechagodzilla 3, the uber tank known as GUNHED, and a alien warrior who had followed the surge and allied himself with the EDF known as ZONE FIGHTER. Another faction formed when the surviving Vortaak aliens, locked into stasis, reawaken and begin to search for Power Surges, joined by various alien threats who come to Earth. The Aliens consist of The Visitor, Lightning Bug, Berserk, Bagorah, JIRIKO (an old foe of Zone Fighter sent by his nemesis, the Garoga to collect crystals), Megalon, and Desghidorah. Finally, there are the Mutants. Neutral creatures driven mad by the crystals to attack anything in their way at best, and power-hungry monsters who want the crystals to become the ultimate being at worst. The Mutant’s ranks consist of Megaguirus, a reawakened underwater megafauna named TITANOSAURUS, Gezora, Kamacuras, a crystal being known as KRYSTALYK, the magma monster OBSIDIUS, Magmua and a massive living fungus named DEATHLA. These factions clash as the situation slowly but surely descends into chaos. Things aren’t helped when General Gyozen of the EDF goes mad from a crystal piece and steals the Gotengo. Harnessing crystals for power, he attempts to kill all monsters in his madness. He is eventually killed by Godzilla, wrecking the Gotengo in the process. After 35 days of chaos, all monsters stop what they are doing and head towards New York, where the main epidemic is happening. As all the monsters arrive, the massive crystal tower in the center suddenly explodes. Power starts being drained from those monsters who used the crystal the most, killing many of the aliens and mutants. The ground erupts as the mastermind behind the whole thing, Spacegodzilla arrives. He uses the stored power to go into critical mass, which combined with the worldwide crystals, makes him the strongest thing on Earth. The Earth Defenders, GDF, surviving aliens Megalon and Desghidorah, and Titanosaurus (The only other surviving mutants, Megaguirus and Gezora fled the minute they could) are forced to work together to slay Spacegodzilla. The crystal sultan does not make it easy on them, killing many of them. Eventually, some well placed Critical Masses begin to wear him down and he is seemingly killed when Godzilla blasts his fortress to pieces with a enhanced atomic ray. Their creator gone, the crystals begin to disappear and the monsters go their separate ways as the world rebuilds.

2011: The Western hemisphere is thrown into chaos as kaiju suddenly begin to congregate around the area. It begins when Godzilla attacks southern California. In a tremendously stupid move, the US government nukes Godzilla. Instead of killing him, it instead results in a super powered Godzilla and the quick dismissal of everyone involved in that idea. Things only escalate from there. Rodan finally reappears when he raids Moscow, Anguirus and Kumonga begin to attack Mexico, and Battra suddenly attacks Paris. America falls into chaos as they try desperately to contain the situation. Monarch tries to provide info but is either ignored or used too late. The solution that is put in place is to sic Cybersaur on Godzilla. This fails miserably as the machine is not only defeated, but thrown into a chaotic rampage by the damage. The robot beat, Godzilla soon encounters Rodan, Kumonga and Anguirus and battles them. This catches Monarch’s attention as the first two may be foes to Godzilla but Anguirus allied himself with Godzilla time and time again, even leading to theories of the two being in a mutualistic symbiotic relationship. So, why are they fighting now? Meanwhile, Battra cocoons and heads towards America. A cult soon decides there is only one option and summons King Ghidorah. However, being taken out of his homeland seemingly causes the guardian to go berserk. He confronts Battra before suddenly going benign to follow him. The truth is soon revealed as the US government is sent a message. A pair of twins named Minette and Mallorie were found in France to have been mutated by the crystals and to have gained psychic abilities. Experimented for these powers and angry at the world, they are now using their powers to destroy it. All the kaiju have been called here and driven into a rage, with them directly controlling Battra and King Ghidorah. Basically, things have somehow gotten worse. This changes as Godzilla and Rodan confronts the two in Las Vegas. An epic battle ensues, aided by the appearance of Cybersaur (piloted by Monarch operative Steve Woods and his ward Allie, having had their own misadventures in the chaos). Eventually, the mind controlled beasts are subdued and Godzilla shows the twins what happens when humans try to control him. In the aftermath, America rebuilds and officially joins the GDF to deal with all issues, with Monarch now working as a science branch for both. The rest of the year passes almost peacefully, besides the interest in mutant humans caused by Minettte, Mallorie, and new files on the H-Man.

2012: In secret areas of the world, a group covertly forms. The Kaiju Extermination Taskforce. This group of mercenaries and rogues despise the kaiju of the world, having all suffered at their hands. Led by ex-SAS official Charles Boxer and 54 survivor Ota Murakami, they plan to kill all the kaiju that wronged them. They believe doing this will prove a good idea as the world would be better off without the kaiju. There is some doubt though, as some find the kaiju not as bad as they act or worthy of respect. Still, they go through with their plan. Breaking into a secret GDF facility, they kidnap Doctor Rolean Deverich, an expert in kaiju communication, and steal the prototype MECHAGODZILLA 2. Having build a kaiju communicator, they plan to call kaiju then kill them. Their first test goes well, succeeding at killing an Ebirah and wounding Megalon. They then head to North Africa, where Rodan and Titanosaurus are currently locked in a territorial bout which they intervene in while also summoning Battra with the device. They succeed at knocking out the two but have to flee when they are confronted by GDF forces led by Mechagodzilla 3, escaping as they transport the machine. They are soon given important information by Deverich who reveals that the other kaiju they want (Anguirus, Kumonga, and the big one, Godzilla) have all been congregated on a island called Sogell off the coast of Hokkaido. They arrive and beat Anguirus, especially impressive as they have to mostly rely on handheld Masers due to MG 2 going under repairs until a critical moment. The KET activates the device, now set for a Godzilla wavelength.

A call goes out.

A call responds.
However, it’s not Godzilla.

A tiny version of Godzilla appears before the shocked group. While on Letchi during the Vortaak invasion, Godzilla found an infant of his species, awoken by the radiation from the radiation and orphaned, with the skeleton of his parent and the strange cocoon on their bones. Godzilla adopted the infant and had been caring for it, which explains his disappearances and new passivity. The KET debate what to do with MINILLA. Boxer overrules the conseusto spare it and states it’s a Godzilla and can lure his father. Mechagodzilla proceeds to fire on Minilla, which instantly makes the KET do a 180. Minilla’s pained cries reach his father who arrives on the island. Boxer soon realizes his mistake, but it is too late. With a rage like NOTHING ever seen before, Godzilla obliterates Mechagodzilla 2. Murakami and some of the KET barely escape, as Godzilla tends to his son. Suddenly, the GDF arrive. It turns out this has all been the calm before the storm. Boxer left out a very important piece of information to his group. Namely, Deverich isn’t just a kaiju communication scientists. He’s also a madman who idolizes kaiju and believes they should have free reign to destroy the Earth, having been arrested and contained for siccing a pack of Kamacuras on Colorado for the hell of it. The GDF and KET rush to stop Deverich from activating the communicator, which he has overloaded to call every kaiju on that hemisphere. Ota is able to kill him with a good shot but he still activates. Before the horrified eyes of the group, Rodan, Titanosaurus, Battra, and Megalon arrive on Sogell, in a bloodthirsty rage. Godzilla steps force to fight them to protect both his son and his home.
The melee begins, devastating the island. Godzilla is aided against the mad kaiju by Anguirus and Kumonga, but is still stuck by the swarm. While the frenzy succeed at killing Megalon, the chaos doesn't stop until the device is deactivated. All the kaiju stop and stare at the sky. They have sensed something.

Deverich's device reached much further than Earth.

Around the world, space monsters begin to appear. In London, Spacegodzilla lands, barely healed from his last attempt but determined to conquer the Earth. In Okinawa, Gigan rises from the depths of the Earth, awakened at long last to finish his rampage. In Detroit, HEDORAH, a nigh-indestructible living smog who feeds on pollution, begins to grow, killing whatever stands in his way. The KET is left in horror, their revenge having brought about a near-apocalyptic scenario. However, a beacon of hope appears. Mothra. She calls to the kaiju as the Shobijin appear to the humans. They formulate a plan, to save the Earth. The kaiju begin to head off, by both personal violation and some psychic pushing from the Shobijin and device. Battra and Titanosaurus arrive in London to confront Spacegodzilla. They fall to his might but they allow the GDT to finally kill him with a D-03 caused blowout. In Okinawa, Rodan and Anguirus confront Gigan, destroying his already weak machinery and sending him into the sea, Angurirus clamped around his neck. Finally, Godzilla and Mechagodzilla 3 (piloted by Ota) defeat Hedorah with a combination of the new Tri-Maser Cannon and a bizarre propulsion method by Godzilla. However, the Shobijin call for a movement to New York. Godzilla and Rodan head there with MG 3 following, after briefly picking up Kumonga and Minilla for help. (Literally in the former’s case). They arrive as Mothra warns them to hold on. Suddenly, a shape strikes the ground causing a shockwave. The dust clears to reveal a figure. A warrior clad in shadowy sinew and skeletal amor. A kaiju like nothing ever encountered. To this day, it still goes by the moniker of MONSTER X. Godzilla and crew fight the beast, barely holding him off. They fall, barely able to fight back. All except one. Minilla. The goofy, odd creature continues to stand, blasting nuclear smoke at Monster X. He gets knocked down by gravity beams but still stands up and tries to keep fighting. He could give up but he refuses. Godzilla wouldn’t surrender, why would he? Eventually, Monster X tires of Minilla and knocks him down. Once again, the wrong move. Godzilla emerges in a rage and attacks. He brutalizes the mysterious alien before being knocked aside. With a final goodbye to his found family, Ota sacrifices himself as he rams Mechagodzilla 3 into Monster X, destroying the mech. Still, the beast stands, badly wounded. A low snarl escapes its’ jaws before it disappears into the straosphere as quickly as it appeared. With that, it is over as quickly as it began. Mothra weakly flies home. The wounded kaiju escape to their own homes. The KET get arrested but get significantly scant punishments for cleaning up their mess. Finally, Godzilla and Minilla head into the sea, looking for greener pastures.

2013: The 59th annual mega zoology conference in Hawaii is interrupted when a second Zilla appears on the island (Junior being one of the victims of the Incursion). After some brief clashes with the GDT, Zilla soon runs into a bigger problem as Godzilla arrives on the scene. Godzilla and his lesser begin to battle, destroying most of the city. Zilla ends the fight in a stalemate when he escapes after getting Godzilla caught in the GDF crossfire. As the cleanup begins, odd happenings begin to happen. A desperate broadcast is caught from a US fleet that goes missing off the coast, while Gigan suddenly rises and disappears after a confrontation with Kumonga. Most importantly, people are beginning to disappear around the city. To figure out what's going on, Steve Woods is sent to investigate, joined by a ragtag group of mega zoologists led by Dr. Kenji Ando. Woods is well aware of them, having saved newest member Lucy Casperell during the attack. The investigation soon leads to a comic convention in San Diego which is suddenly attacked by some type of crustacean. Woods’ team drives them off, discovering that a leg like the creatures was found on Zilla. The GDF scientists soon discover something grave studying the creature. It is a type of precambrian arthropods which continuously evolve to combine their ranks into different forms. Most importantly, it seems to have properties resembling the faint notes on the Oxygen Destroyer. Further elaboration is cut short when Godzilla suddenly washes ashore, badly wounded. He is found with the scar on his chest reopened, as well as being covered in the newly dubbed DESTOROYAH. As the beasts begin to attack the crowds around Godzilla, he awakens and attacks. He drives them into the sea where before the world’s horrified eyes, the Destoroyahs combine into a massive form, a demonic being bigger than Godzilla. Godzilla and Destroyah battle, with the amalgamation slowly gaining the upper hand. The cavalry arrives with Mothra and her newly hatched larva, helping Godzilla beat the beast into the sea where it flees. The two then go their separate ways. However, this is not the only problem that the GDF must deal with. It soon is discovered the missing fleet was destroyed by Titanosaurus, Manda and Gezora. As the GDF investigates, the mega zoologists head to China where they have been called to help find a kaiju. They find Rodan and Varan clashing, but are informed that’s not what they're here for. To the shock of the mega zoologists, Gaira is being held in a facility. Arguments about the ethics of this are cut short when Sanda breaks into save his sibling. They escape but get caught in the battle, with the two disappearing when Varan flees. Meanwhile, the truth has been discovered by the GDF. Aliens known as the Cryog have come to conquer Earth, clandestinely spying and interfering. At this moment, they have planned an attack. They sic an upgraded Gigan and a space dragon dubbed MOGU on Las Vegas. The two are confronted by Godzilla and Moguera. The showdown intensifies when the Cryog release a revived Orga on the battlefield. The hulking brute is both a benefit as he easily confronts Godzilla and a hindrance, ashe eats Mogu to gain his DNA.
Just then, a tiny shape is spotted flying in by Woods’ team, with mecha expert Dr. Allison letting them know he’s on their side. The shape flies into Orga’s mouth. He splits apart as the shape morphs into a giant form. A robot stands before the world, a hero decked out in garish colors and with a gleeful grin etched on his face.

JET JAGUAR has arrived.

He helps Godzilla and Moguera drive off Gigan while Dr. Allison explains where he came from. When she was a girl in 1973, he crashed to Earth. Her father took him in and studied him, with him and Allison forming a bond. Questions about his capabilities are answered when Godzilla attacks him out of confusion, and Jet proceeds to UPPERCUT Godzilla before flying him out to sea. The android hero soon rushes to Woods's team and helps them fight out of the Cryog UFO. The Cryogs soon meet up with their allies, the Devonians, an alien race who crashed landed on Earth and slowly built up an undersea kingdom. They are gifted geneticists, having cloned Zilla, created controls for Titanosaurus, Gezora and Manda, and mutated the precambrian organisms that would become Destroyah. However, it turns out they are sick of the Cryogs treating them like their lesser and have double crossed them to conquer the Earth on their own. They unleash BIOLLANTE, a rose/Godzilla/human hybrid created as a weapon and a terraformer. Thankfully, Godzilla has followed the Cryog ship and confronts his genetic other. The battle soon leads to a volcanic eruption. Woods’s squad and Jet Jaguar escape along with Godzilla as Biollante and the Cryog ship perish in the lava (though it was noted spores were seen floating off after the battle). The Devonians aren’t beat however, as the teams meetup with the mega zoologists on the USS Frank and USS Mowry is interrupted by an attack by Gezora, Manda, and Titanosaurus. In the chaos of Godzilla’s attack, Lucy falls overboard and wakes up to find herself washed ashore on Infant Island. Discussing with the Shobijin and observing cave paintings, she learns complete proof the kaiju have been here for years and gets visions of many previously unknown events such as King Caesar battling Gigan and Gorosaurus, Megaguirus, and Kamoebas confronting The Stranger in the Cretaceous. The Shobijin also tell her the truth about the kaiju are the Earth’s defense, beings who battle to keep the world in balance. Each one has an element of their own be it water, fire, air or earth, being depicted on a mural. Interestingly, Godzilla is the only Earth monster not on it. The final revelation is that when the world is threatened with destruction by a monster and the black mountain rises, a champion monster will rise up and lead his army to destroy it. Lucy concludes that the only thing that could destroy Earth’s balance could be a space monster. After asking Mothra to help, Lucy finds herself back on the USS Frank. She tells the groups their findings and they debate it’s plausibility. Meanwhile, Gaira and Sanda come ashore in Florida feuding, with their feuding taking a back seat as they encounter Godzilla. Working together, they just BARELY hold him off long enough to escape to the sea. They are soon rounded up as the GDF enacts a new operation where kaiju are subdued and transported to a new high tech facility on the Devonian island that is jokingly dubbed Monsterland. However, the war isn’t done yet. A refugee from the Devonian kingdom reveals himself and says he has information. In an interview, he reveals his people were peaceful until a new king, angry at the pollution and pain around the world, turned them into fascists and declared war on the surface. His info can’t come soon enough as the Devonians begin their final assault. Using Titanosaurus, Gezora and Manda, they draw the tired Godzilla out to sea before unleashing Destroyah on Godzilla and the congregated GDF forces. Godzilla soon drags Titanosaurus, Gezora and Manda into the earth, destroying the Devonian city. Just as the GDF holds off the smaller Destroyah, they form into their massive form. Suddenly, Jet Jaguar arrives and jumps into Mechagodzilla 3. He finally ends the oxygen menace by freezing then shattering it with the Absolute Zero Cannon. The war is ended but not all ended well. The good Devonian was actually Cryog commander Rhizon in disguise who murders Allison before returning to his fleet. Also, Godzilla disappeared in the debris and missile filled end of the Devonians, leaving the world unsure of his fate......
