Going by OP's actually idea here, as in what comes to mind when people say these characters' names what's the image that comes to mind, NOT my *preferred* versions, or the versions I believe are the best...
Godzilla: 1991 (I think 1954 is the definitive)
Mothra: 1992 (Yeah, this is about right)
Rodan: 1993 (I think 1956 is the definitive)
King Ghidorah: 1991 (I WANT Grand King Ghidorah to be the definitive, but I genuinely think this is the best look for Ghidorah...)
Mechagodzilla: 1974 (Yep.)
Anguirus: 1968 (Yep.)
Gigan: 1972 (Yep.)
