K.W.C Story Arcs

Postby James23873 » Tue May 31, 2011 3:12 pm

What originally started as a bunch of random matches has really grown into complex story arcs. More and more matches are beginning to reference events that happened in previous ones, and the K.W.C now have their own little universe of events. So I thought, why not create a topic to discuss your favorite story arcs and talk about how you would like to see them develop in the future?

One of my favorites is the Gabara story arc(matches 23, 30, 35, and 41). I love how he gets so frustrated with his continual defeats and just wants to prove himself to be as big a threat as the other monsters.

I'd love to see a sequel to match 95. It would be Interesting to see Godzilla and Gabara work together.

There is gonna be one. That match was part of GodzillaWolf's 'Alien Invasion' arc thing. It just hasn't been posted yet . There is one before that for his arc(just in case you didn't know): Match 93, Mechagodzilla and Gigan vs. Kiryu and Ultraman.

I like stories with human or humanoid involvement. I like to see how the actions of humans effect kaiju and/or the other way around. That's why I'd like to see match 83 have a sequel. I'd like to see how H.E.A.T. would interact with the likes of Akane or even Utsuno Ikusagami's human form, Yamato Takeru.

I didn't know, thanks. (I like to keep track of all the arcs.)

I do agree with Shazam and think there should be more stories with H.E.A.T. Maybe if they worked together with Kenichi Yamani ,I could see that combination working. Or maybe to see what they were doing during the Bagan crisis, if you wanted to connect those two. Right now there's no evidence to suggest those matches are connected.

I'd like to see a story explaining how the monsters can't die.

I would think impossible to explain. I mean Monster X is first killed by Jet Jaguar who grows inside him, then he comes back only to be killed by Bagan, and finally he comes back yet again to get revenge on Bagan in everyone vs everyone. Not to mention Baragon who's turned into a cocoon for Bagan, but later also wants revenge on Bagan for that.

Different kaiju, same species? :/ Or possibly different universes.

There are several more stories for the invasion story arc that just haven't been posted yet.

Gabara vs Megalon Round 2 is also coming as well.

Like I said. Mortal Kombat Syndrome.

Really is it all that unusual for a character to come back from the dead in sci-fi? I don't really question how kaiju come back from the dead because they are mutants and one of their powers could be their body jump starting back to life after being dead for a while or they just survive and heal. Many characters outside of kaiju films are put in a mere coma from something that would be 100% deadly in real life so why can't kaiju do the same?

And besides were talking about creatures who can support a body weight that should be shattereing their own bones from the mass and can fires lasers without burning their mouths or eyes off, come from the vacum of space, survived ice ages and K-T extinction or from another dimension or were made in a lab by combing an already existing monsters DNA with an every day plant and dead person's cells.

Regenerating/coming back from the dead or just being in a short coma from something that should be deadly is probably the least weird thing these guys have pulled off in universe.

Like really does anyone really question how Ridely keeps coming back in Metroid or how the Kombatants keep coming back in Mortal Kombat or hell how super heroes and villains keep coming back from the dead in comic books?

Just go with the flow. Plus in a world with kaiju we'd be too busy trying to defend ourselves to give a damn or just accept it as part of everyday life since they are pretty much a force of nature. Like a hurricane they die off but always come back to life the next year.

^ Look at Kiryu vs Hedorah for an example where how they come back is actually explained, at least for Godzilla.

That one, I guess, also counts as a story arc with Godzilla vs Hedorah, doesn't it?

Yeah but I rather have a cool revival to a monster then "he just returned". I have a really good example but someone hasn't put it up yet. Darn you titano. Lol.

I get what you guys are saying, sometimes it is cool to hear how a kaiju came back from the dead but it doesn't always have to be done. Case and point their powers. Some film do actually explain how a monsters powers work and how they make them work but not every film does that. I guess what I'm saying is it's a nice bonus to tell how a monster is reborn but it doesn't always have to be done.
