Godzilla: Monster of Monsters Retold!

Part 1
Take Back The Earth!

It was a year that humanity would forget. A year so terrible that humanity wished to forget everything but the heroic deeds of their protectors. That year was the year that would not be known. We know only that the terrible war took place in the second millennium, we know that year as 2XXX, the year of The Great Monster War. A war that encompassed the whole Solar System

The Xiliens` declaration of war caught us by surprise, Washington D.C, Beijing and Paris were all destroyed in a week. Of the attacked cities only Tokyo stood, defended by Godzilla, Anguirus, Rodan, Mothra and its mechs. The four monsters headed to free the countries that had been oppressed. The tides of battle were turning in humanity`s favor. But the Xilliens would not be defeated so easily.

On the tenth day of battle the harbingers of doom, the fleet of Gohtens, arrived. The ships dwarfed even the biggest monsters. They bombarded the remaining resistance with Inferno Craft. The ship`s power was unrivaled. On the eleventh day the Karyu, Eclair and the Rumbling fell to the bombardment of Inferno Crafts unleashed by the Gohtens. But the worst had yet to come.

The drills of the Gohtens glowed. The Earth was engulfed in the flames of the Ether Bombs, leaving it a burning wasteland. Varan, Baragon and Gezora were taken and controlled to do the aliens` dirty work. Rodan and Anguirus were engulfed by the flames of the Ether Bomb. The Earth`s fate would be to become a colony of Planet X. Soon the Xilliens began to set up bases all across the Solar System. They left Gezora and Moguera on Earth.

Having survived, Godzilla and Mothra set out to defeat the alien invaders. The humans planned to attach Xillien technology to the Moonlight SY-3, a state of the art rocket, with the purpose of transporting Godzilla and Mothra throughout the Solar System in order to destroy the Xilliens and their bases once and for all! But that plan depended on Mothra and Godzilla`s victory against Gezora and Moguera on the now devastated Earth.

The two monsters had to defeat the tactical Gezora, the battling Moguera, the agile Varan, the burrowing Baragon. the terrifying Gigan, the destructive impostor Mechagodzilla and the one everyone feared, the dreaded king of terror. King Ghidorah. Everything seemed impossible for the human race. But hope persisted even in the most hopeless of times.

Godzilla advanced, tearing through mounds of rock and metal vehicles and weapons alike. His atomic breath vaporized the enemy tanks and missiles. Maser Cannons, Markalite cannons and the Super X`s proved useless against the atomic dinosaur. It was Mothra`s turn. She had been wounded by the Ether Bombs. With every shot she reeled back and hit the ground, but the missiles and lasers didn`t do any physical damage to her. Her eye beams tore through the enemies and rocks just like Godzilla`s atomic breath.

Now Mothra would encounter the Matango, mutant mushrooms that swarmed anything that came their way. Their hive was easily destroyed by Mothra`s wing powder. Gezora began to approach Mothra. Godzilla then made his way around Mothra in order to provide support. Just like before, the enemies were pulverized.

Gezora attacked Godzilla, the latter blasted Gezora with his atomic breath, followed by a multitude of punches, kicks and tail whips. Gezora kept Godzilla at bay with his tentacles. Godzilla grabbed Gezora and bit him, only to be frozen solid by Gezora`s cold temperatures. Angered, Godzilla blasted Gezora with his Spiral Heat Ray. Defeated by the concentrated million degree beam, Gezora collapsed, never to fight on the Earth again.

It was Mothra`s turn to attack Moguera. She blasted through the enemy forces guarding the Mysterian mech. Separating her from Moguera was a volcanic field. The volcanoes blasted fireballs into the air. As she approached them, they revealed their true form, Firestorm Phoenixes! They blasted Mothra with fireballs, but the Divine Moth wouldn`t be stopped. Manda emerged from a slab of volcanic rock. It blasted Mothra with fireballs just like the Phoenixes before it. Mothra approached it. Manda quickly coiled around Mothra, however the Divine Moth stopped the enemy snake with a concentrated blast of wing powder. Defeated, the snake slithered back into the earth, searching for another place to ambush the enemy from.

Finally, Mothra was face to face with Moguera. The mech tried to crush Mothra under it`s weight. The mech`s alien controllers were confused and unable to move the mech when Mothra flew out from under it and began to blast it with her eye beams and wing powder. In a last ditch attempt to attain victory, Moguera blasted Mothra with it`s eye beams. This didn`t keep Mothra down for long. Seeing itself outmatched, Moguera retreated to space.

Godzilla and Mothra moved towards the Xilliens main base. Mothra found herself face to face with Dogora. She blasted Dogora Cells left and right without any problem. But now Mothra had to blast through the many defenses of the Zillien base, missiles, Super X`s normal aircraft, railguns, the base had every defense in the book but none of them stopped Mothra.

Now it was Godzilla`s turn to advance through the volcanic field. The aerial adavntage of the Firestorm Phoenixes was of no use against Godzilla, who used his atomic breath to pulverize several of them. Godzilla walked unwavering through the field of erupting volcanoes. Manda reared it`s ugly head once more but was easily put back into it`s place by Godzilla. Godzilla destroyed many Dogora Cells and advanced into the alien base.

The heavy weaponry of the base stood no chance. Godzilla withstood missiles, lasers and railguns as he destroyed the base piece by piece. The Earth had been taken back. Now it was only a matter of whether the plan to transport the monsters to Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto, Neptune and Planet X with the Moonlight SY-3 would succeed. Varan awaited the two monsters on Mars, accompanied by a recovered Gezora and Moguera.

The Moonlight SY-3 dashed in-between the many laser bolts the alien ships fired. They approached the drop-off point. Godzilla and Mothra were concerned as to the safety of their transport
"Drop-off point has been reached! Release now!" The bubbles containing Godzilla and Mothra popped as they were dropped onto Mars. The planet was massively volcanic, only Gohtens, Matangos and Dogoras interrupted the volcanic monotony.

Godzillla ventured out into the volcanic area. Manda popped out of a slab of molten rock, fired several fireballs and coiled around Godzilla. However, the king of the monsters had a backup plan. His spines glowed and he discharged atomic energy in a massive pulse that forced Manda to retreat underground. A Firestorm Phoenix was quickly punched out of the sky as Godzilla advanced.

As he passed a volcano, it erupted, sending rivers of lava Godzilla`s way. Unharmed Godzilla walked through the liquid fire. Manda had taken a strategic spot behind another erupting volcano. Blasting it`s fireballs Manda kept Godzilla at bay only to be forced underground by a long blast of Atomic Fire. A Matango hive was now in his way. He quickly destroyed the offending structure.

Varan moved closer to Gezora, knowing that the two monsters were attempting to surround Gezora. Mothra advanced, quickly deterring Manda and several Firestorm Phoenixes a lot of times with many eye beams. Mothra then blasted through Dogora and a Matango spawn. Moguera advanced towards Godzilla. Gezora attacked Mothra, keeping her pinned down with his tentacles. Whenever she broke free, Mothra would unleash her wing powder and eye beams upon Gezora. Varan moved to provide backup for both Moguera and Gezora. Godzilla attacked Moguera.

Moguera unleshed it`s eyebeams on Godzilla many times, but Godzilla`s punches, kicks and tail whips proved to be more than a match. The damaged mech started to become unresponsive to it`s controller`s commands, but it managed to move Godzilla into Varan`s range of attack. Varan punched and headbutted Godzilla, Moguera unleashed it`s eye beams. In the end, Godzilla fell, but not for long. Woe to the aliens when Varan met Godzilla again.

As Mothra`s battle with Gezora continued, Varan experienced a moment of quality. The former defender of Earth Varan managed to win over Alien pawn Varan long enough to retreat to Jupiter. Mothra and Gezora`s battle continued in much the same way, Gezora fell, worn down by Mothra`s beams as Moguera approached. Mothra also approaches Moguera.

Moguera unleashed his beams as Mothra unleashed her wing powder. This exchange of powerful attacks would last until one of them fell. As Mothra`s beams wore down the already damaged mech, it became clear that Mothra had the edge in this battle between Divine Moth and Mysterian Mech. Finally, Moguera`s systems crashed, unleashing a massive beam that knocked Mothra to the ground, but the battle had been won. Mothra began to advance on the Alien base.

In the end, Mothra survived her many encounters with Manda, Firestorm Phoenixesm unstable molten rock, Inferno crafts and everything else that the Xillien-Vortaak-Mysterian invasion had to offer and begun to move on the Base Headquarters.

Much like the Mecha City before it, the Base Headquarters was taken over by Mothra. Weakened by Moguera`s beam she was knocked down many times, but she survived Missiles, Railguns, Lasers and everything else that the alien base had to offer. Now the Alien domination had been destroyed on two planets.

But rest assured, the Xilliens didn`t take Varan`s retreat too kindly. Hedorah approached Varan. The sludge monster engulfed Varan`s arm and laughed maliciously as Varan roared in pain. Varan pulled his arm out of the sludge and roared in terror. His hand was completely dizzolved! With a sickening crack, Varan`s forearm fell to the ground. Hedorah laughed again.
