The show debuts this Sunday and I'm very excited for it. Who else is interested?

Ok, I'm glad I to see someone made a thread for this.

This show rocks. Granted it's only six episodes in, but so far I'm really intrigued by this series.

Do to a busy schedual, I just now managed to watch the full season. Granted we're only half way through, but I'm calling Game of Thrones one of the best TV shows this year.

Woot! Season 2 started great. I never read the books but it appears that each season will adapt one book. If you have HBO watch this. Hell, all of season 1 is on demand right now. Watch it... its better than your favorite show.

So I decided to start watching this. I dig the premium channel period series, based on books or not. Ive watched the first couple episodes and I dig it.

The Dothroki are an interesting people and of course Dany is gorgeous. Sean Bean comes off amazingly. My only issue is the series assumes youve read the novels and glides over the lineage of the characters and names have been changed to allow for ease of rememberance.

And of course there's sex. Not as carnal as Deadwood or The Tudors. Gal who plays Dany has perfect nips IMHO.

I hear there's action figures supposed to come out but there a couple months behind.. and it has dragons in it?!

AND DIRE WOLVES!

Already planned on picking up the series since it just came out some weeks ago on DVD and BRD. Very positive reaction.

Nope, alot of people like Tyrion, myself included. In the books, I always enjoyed his and Sansa's (What? I liked reading about her intereactions with some of the other characters like The Hound, Tyrion, and Petyr Baelish) chapters the best.

Whoa watsy- spoilers ahead!!

@Draglord: Sansa's scenes are enjoyable.... particularly when her illusions are being shattered. She believed in this ideal life of royalty and it definitely didn't turn out that way. I never read the books but but I'm hoping there's an appropriately painful/humiliating end planned for "King" Joffrey. It was priceless when Sansa advanced on after he showed her Ned Stark's head. The look in his eyes said "I'm going to be killed like a girl and there's nothing my weak little body can do to stop her!" Lol.

One complaint I have about the show is that there's a lot more talking about battles than there are actual battles.

One more thing I like about the Tyrion scenes: his mercernary Bronn. The interactions between these two are priceless.

Tyrion is a fan-favorite. That aside, the author himself has stated Tyrion is his favorite character. So no, it's not weird.

I'm currently reading the first book, but we don't have HBO, and I don't have the money to buy the DVDs at the moment, but I can say that the book is easily one of the best I've ever read.

My coworker (who's a fanatic of both the books and series) just let me borrow the first season on DVD, I'll probably start it up tonight. HBO rarely disappoints.

I'm only on episode four and...wow. So. skreeonk. Good. I'll post a review once I finish Season 1 (then I'll gobble up Season 2 as soon as all 13 episodes are out). Best show I've seen since Deadwood.

Dude, you're at the same point I am. I just started watching it two days ago. All the snippets I've seen of it on Youtube looked horrible, but now that I'm watching it... damn. I really didn't expect it to be so good.

Just finished the first season. Astounding, absolutely astounding. It's in my top three shows now. I'll post my review in the "Latest TV Show You Watched" thread soon enough.

So I go into Barnes and Noble today to pick up the novel, and first thing I see is a sign saying that George RR Martin is coming to Missoula this weekend. YES! Perfect timing, gonna go meet the guy and hopefully have at least a small conversation with him (and get my book signed of course).

What gets me about Season 2 is how good it is WITHOUT Sean Bean. Peter Dinklage took over the main role. I find myself following Arya's story more and more. I cannot wait for Theon to get his come uppins

There are just so many likeable characters you get to follow in this show. My personal favorites are Jon Snow, Arya Stark, and Tyrion Lannister.

How about the hate-able like-ables? Like Theon, Jamie, Cersi?
