Help me out here guys.
Mom and Dad have to go to a "city" (Lubbock, TX) that's a little more than two hours away from home to Mom can see a couple of specialists and have some tests run.
They just left thirty-ish minutes ago. They won't be back until Monday.
Which means I'm here. Alone. In the middle of nowhere.

Christ, I hate having multiple consecutive days alone...

I usually just end up wasting a lot of that time online, but if you have any creative projects you can throw your energy into, that should help a lot.

What ruined my day? Managing to avoid spoilers or info for Monster Planet SO well that I didn't realize that yesterday wasn't the release date on Netflix as I'd been anticipating, just the theatrical release date in Japan, and I'm not gonna be seeing it any time soon...

The utterly superlative, absolutely brilliant Star Trek Continues is over, and Star Trek Discovery continues to exist. If matters of justice in today's world were not so horribly askew as to be no laughing matter, I would most certainly invoke this as evidence that there is no such thing. And worse yet that STC was forced into early closure by the fan film rules used to shut down Axanar, a direct 'competitor' of DSC (set in the same time period), all because CBS decided to swat a fly with a grenade launcher and level ALL fan films in order to take down Axanar. (Which was also brilliant, albeit not as perfectly in tune with the spirit of Trek as Continues has been for its entire amazing run).

Having been in the same boat - I can relate. Shit sucks and it crushes your will.

Sold some - not all (because no one would buy them lol) Ultra-Acts to help skid by on the bills, repairing the second car and even the primary car's radiator crapped out the first week I got employed. Thankfully I became employed again - and that problem solved itself within the first checks. Still thinking about selling the collection but that's unrelated.
