WotW Round 1: Minilla vs. Jet Jaguar (Heavyweight)

Post by Zarm »

Match 3: Minilla vs. Jet Jaguar (Heavyweight)

Minilla
Image
Minilla is scaled to 20 meters and 3,000 tons. Ditto on lack of size-changing. This is Minilla from the end of Son of Godzilla/start of DAM. As such, he is out of the helpless newborn stage and capable of walking. None of his imaginary feats from All Monsters Attack apply. However, as if his tail was in a constant state of being stepped on, he does have access to atomic breath on command. (And no, his smoke rings do not have any Ghidorah-strangling properties for the purposes of this match). ;)

vs.

Jet Jaguar
Image
Jet Jaguar is 50 meters tall and weighs 25,000 tons. He will not use any size-changing ability during the match (we're not looking for the finale of Ant-man here).

Arena: Tree-lined open parkway

The mental image of Jet Jaguar punting Minya and sending him flying amuses me greatly.
Jet Jaguar for a huge size and strength advantage.

Funny, everyone seems to think so. I was honestly of the opinion that, based on the way he reacted to several of Gigan and Megalon's physical attacks, he would not handle an atomic ray well at all. Hence evening out his adult offensive/defensive strength (without beam resistance, and thus potential vulnerability) with Minilla's lesser physical and defensive strength but stronger offensive weapon.

But it seems I was rather alone in that reasoning. :)

Jet Jaguar was hit in the back of the neck by a Megalon Napalm Bomb, and got right back up and took a beating until Godzilla arrived. That's not vulnerability.

Someone call child services because this match is right up their ally.

Jet Jaguar has intellect, defense and experience. Minilla just doesn't have enough. Jet Jaguar

Yes, Minilla could theoretically hit an atomic breath and manage to blast Jet enough times to destroy it. But given that would require some unbelievable luck for Minilla to even be able to fire the beam, not to mention the difficulty of hitting Jet when he gets moving, this isn't even going to be funny. Anyways, yeah Jet Jaguar, he has him beat in just about every category.

Jet Jaguar Manilla really won't be able to do anything against him without being utterly destroyed.

Let's put it this way. If a taller, more melee based Minya couldn't beat Greenman, a robot similar to Jet Jaguar, wtf is OG Minya going to do?

Despite control of a potent atomic ray, Minilla remains... well, Minilla. So at the close of voting, Jet Jaguar has been granted a clear and uncontested victory!
