Pfft, try hunting a straight-up carnivore like Ceratosaurus, then we'll talk.

It's a little known fact that dinosaurs are immune to high-tech weaponry. ;)

I guess I can accept that as a answer....after a long drink. :)

I rather did enjoy Eric S. Brown's WAR OF THE WORLDS:PLUS BLOOD, GUTS, & ZOMBIES. That was a fun read. Hell, who here hasn't thought it would be sweet to have the Martian Tripods fight it out Godzilla. A lot of viewers of the Spielberg/Cruise take on the H.G. Wells' classic commented that maybe Godzilla was the one doing in the Tripods in Osaka with the rumors going around among the refugees. This also reminds me of an idea I had pitting the Martians from Topps Mars Attacks ! cards series against the bloodthirsty dinos from their Dinosaurs Attack ! series of trading cards.

God, those books are so awesome and original.

Fully agree. Can't wait to the movies come out.

Actually, IIRC, Spielburg said it was a nod to the masers from the Godzilla movies. 'Cause they should be able to pass through the shields, being energy and all.

The dinosaurs will get their asses kicked until the aliens begin to die without figuring out why only to learn that the dinosaurs have a germ that's deadly to the aliens.

Hehe, but I'm going to give this one a chance due to Grant Morrison writing it.

Or the dinosaurs could eat an alien and begin to gain it's powers.....

...they better do that.

I was just reading up on this, this could be the biggest fail in Hollywood cinema in decades or this could be one of the biggest blockbuster's assuming it will have a summer release.

Honestly i think they should just make a damn ''Dino-Riders'' movie already.. Seriously i had the toy T-Rex with the laser's coming from it's head... 1 of the best toys i ever had. Also since ''Jurassic park 4'' is dead for the most part we need a good Dinosaur movie to bring them back to there former glory.

Screw the humans, Give me ''T-Rex, Raptors, Triceratops, an Allosaurus'' with no dialog, bombs, fire, CGI, gore, an some bad-ass take out scene's with aliens an Dino's an ill follow this film to the end.

This has (potential) to be awesome, but as said it has potential to make Sci-Fi Originals look Oscar worthy.... The only way to pull this movie off is to go all out, an im not sure Hollywood is willing to do that...

I'm game. I love the fact so many genre mish-mash films are getting Hollywood-sized budgets. It's like living in the '70s all over again!*

*This is just a vague expression. I wouldn't actually know since I didn't live through the 1970s. Therefore, I apologize to all those who actually lived through that decade, hated it, and thus shook their fists at my post for praising said decade.

Don't we have enough zombie movies? -_-
If anything, we need more dragon movies. Ones that don't suck that is...

Actually, in the next month or so. Spinning out of their INFESTATION event, there are plans at IDW for next month in INFESTATION:Outbreak, involving a "threat from beyond" in the wake of INFESTATION'S concluding chapter. So for the moment I going with an alien invasion coming into play.

This looks badass.

And for some reason I can see the Dinosaurs kicking the alien's rears without any cheap high-tech weaponry.

This pretty much jumped to 2nd place in my list of movies I'm most anticipating. I, for one, always wanted a "serious" monster movie featuring protagonists other than just humans (which is probably why I'm such a huge Godzilla fan). I have been planning to make a film centering around a Dinosaur society/hierarchy in the late Cretaceous, so the idea of Dinosaurs being intelligent immediately peaked my interests.

As far as the idea of Dinosaurs fending off an invasion, It will probably be more like a desperate stand, with the Dinosaurs' only advantage being tooth-and-claw fighting and the home field advantage, but it's a bit too early to predict the course of the film,as we don't really know what the dinos are up against. "aliens" isn't really all that specific. They could really be anything, whether they use hovering vehicles or walkers, whether they fight in vehicles or on foot, whether they have feet. Most aliens in movies are usually scaled around humans so that they can interact, and since there appear to be no human characters in this film, they could really be any size.

There's no doubt this movie will be heavy on CGI, but CGI usually only falls into two categories: Cartoon-like for kids/family films and uber-realistic for live action films. Since Dominion: Dinosaurs vs. Aliens doesn't appear to have any human actors, the producers could really go in any direction they wanted to to portray this film, since there aren't any live actors that everything has to be created around.

Overall, looking forward to something different.
