I really do like the artwork involved it looks great not only does it do a great job matching the classical Japanese art style, but at times it kind of brings to mind a sort of vintage 1970's Marvel Comic art style.

Though now finding out about the storyline and the world's characters, I can't help but really wish that this issue's storyline was actually the whole Mini-Series. because I can't help but feel it will be rushed and that a possibly fantastic storyline has been left behind as this storyline really deserved a Mini-Series headline.

Very cool interview; the style they're going for looks fantastic. A whole issue like that should make for some great eye candy... and also excited to see Jeremy Robinson take the reigns on this issue.
Spoiler:
Regarding the spoiler image - Hell yeah, called it with Orochi! Or at least some form of Orochi, perhaps their own rendition as opposed to Toho's. Still, can't wait to see him in action :D

Wow, an actual Megalon sighting    Granted, they're using Megalon in the exact same setting as in ROE (I think the authors of these books need to more carefully research what other authors have already done in previous IDW works, for these IDW books seem to unnecessarily repeat themselves in terms of monster match ups/settings/scenarios a bit too often). Nevertheless, Megalon has been criminally under-utilized, so I'll take it 8-) Looks like it's going to be a fun issue, and the artwork looks good and isn't off-putting like the recent G:Oblivion shlock...

So we got

1st: Feudal Japan
2nd: Ancient Greece
3rd: Medieval Europe
5th: Mesozoic Era

What do you guys perhaps think the 4th will be? I'm hoping Ancient Egypt.

This is my concern. This has happened a few times recently. Each time it is also delayed on comixology so I'll check it the night of release to see if it actually comes out.

I can agree with that, I would love to see a whole miniseries take place in feudal era Japan with this artwork, which looks amazing! Definitely can't wait to pick this comic up as well as the rest of the series.

Best kaiju game ever. Like, seriously, awesome to play and full of cool little nods to the films that make it up. Ten out of ten. Worth waiting for.

Here's another potential timeline they could do that popped up in my mind.

Norse Viking times.

Please I'm begging you IDW. Have Godzilla the King of the Monsters fight Cronus the Leader of the Titans. That'll be such missed potential if they don't.

And while at it. Also Biollante vs. Gaia.

I hate to say it but...that looks and sounds terrible and what is that artwork

That doesn't even look like Godzilla!

Everything else is awesome though.

Notice that both issues come out in November. Why is that?

So the way we have it then is

1st: Feudal Japan
2nd: Ancient Greece
3rd: Medieval Europe
4th: Ancient Rome
5th: Mesozoic Era

Shucks. I was hoping for Ancient Egypt. Quite a shame like all other IDW Godzilla series. Most only goes up to five. This one had potential do more then just five such as Ancient Egypt, World War 1, the Ice Age, etc.
