Defenders of the Earth gets a lot of views and has some really dedicated fans over on Fanfiction.Net so it doesn't really bother me that much. It's also a long ass story which is only just reaching the end of arc 1 out of 4: I can see why some might be turned off by the length.

Hopefully. Activity on this thread might help attract people. I wonder how they'll react to my take on the Unleashed cast. I always like Tagaki and Miku growing up, Tagaki just seemed like a 'nice army guy' and that was very refreshing, plus the now deceased Admiral Gyozen was already the standard 'bad army guy' with a grudge and I loved the contrast. Fun fact, Tagaki actually canonically pilots MechaGodzilla 2 during the events of Save the Earth: I didn't make that up. And yeah I'm a Miku fanboy because when I got Unleashed in 2008, on holiday in Scotland actually, Miku really connected with 8 year old me because she felt about Godzilla how I felt about him: that he's a valiant hero and noble defender of the Earth. I loved the fact Unleashed had a character who believed in Godzilla like I did, and still do, so Miku just became my favourite human character automatically because she shared my views. It's as simple as that: no deep reason, it's just because I felt her character was meant to represent the kids who grew up seeing Godzilla as a hero and I absolutely adored the development team for making a character like that.
