It's a play on "Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi".

No offense, but the thread titles are stupid and reinforce the spammy nature of this thread that got it locked in the first place.

OT: Barnes and Noble has a 30% off almost any item in the store, both online and in-store until the 29th. You can use it to get some discounts on the SHMA they have, like G'14 Spitfire and G2K Special Color Version.

This is Tamashii we are talking about.

I am dying to see what sorry excuse for a release they will churn up next.
Hardly anyone is talking about Emergence.Ver, and I am not seeing much excitement for KGSCV.

If the line REALLY is not dead, then Tamashii might want to stop dragging their feet through paint and Heisei. (Bet you reaching the end of the Heisei era that is what is holding them back, and it's stupid.)

To me, this line has become an absolute joke ...

Well if they are still sculpted by Sakai, then the only thing im worried about is the paint honestly.

While the titles are silly, its posts like these that actually do more harm then just a thread title. It boils down to the old saying, if you got nothing good to say, don't say it. Odds are, you'll derail the thread in the process because of it. Not saying you can't post these comments :P It's just not always worth it in the long run.

Well, looks like I missed out. Could have scored Rebirth at my local B&N. I checked just about everyplace for BlackFriday deals and forgot about B&N. Just have to see what Cyber Monday has to bring to the table.

I got my '64 Godzilla repaint on Friday and he looks awesome! I displayed him right next to my Revoltech Showa Rodan. Maybe one of these days when I have enough posts, I can post pictures.

I couldn't even add anything to the cart. I'll just snag Spitfire on Amazon when the time comes.
I will explain slowly why you are wrong.

I finally picked up Special Colors G2000 after hearing a lot of good things about him, particularly on TK. And I'm..... Underwhelmed. That isn't to say that he's a bad figure. The tail, spines, legs, and pretty much the entire figure are beautifully sculpted. And the first is masterfully articulated. And the paint is all-around beautiful, particularly the eyes and claws.

But there are some.... Issues. Honestly more than I had with G2014, who was badmouthed to hell and back.

Knees were designed by an idiot. Unprotected internal hinge that likes to disconnect and is fucking hellish to reconnect. Tip of his tail comes off very easily. Not a defect per say, but annoying. The articulation for the back and neck are frustrating. I understand this thing's supposed to mimic the Igorzilla concept maquette, but the thing is STUCK in said hunched position to an annoying extent. Pretty much every other SHMA figure is capable of rearing backwards to a much greater extent, regardless of the intended default pose. And he has a small smear of red paint just behind the jaw and other similarly minor errors. Is that an issue? No. But it's pretty hilarious to see on a figure the entire Godzilla community has pretty much been worshipping like a god, while G14, which is pretty much universally jeered at, had fewer errors.

Come to think of it, Godzilla 2014 had better overall articulation, too.

All in all, 8/10. Just 8/10. It's pretty, it's dynamic, and it has strong-points, but it's not the masterpiece everyone's made it out to be by a very long shot.

Clearly you've had issues with yours. The reason why G14 is bad mouthed so much because it's issues were extremely more widespread. And those issues were even repeated onto the later repaints of the figure.

As for G2000 and it's repaint, both had very few problems going on. Yes, some people got duds, but it wasn't as universal as G14.
I will explain slowly why you are wrong.
