So they'll definitely do no MUTO vinyls then... I must reconsider even getting into their G'14 merchandise at all then... :?

I hate how he is looking up. I know he's designed to hunch foward and be in a roaring pose, but, still. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if he were looking straight, but eh, as usual I'll probably will end up getting it.

Maybe someday we'll get something like these for real...
Sh monsterarts better hurry up to make these.

Wait, what's this? That's not accurate. Orga's 60 Meters and Female muto is.... 104 er something. Anyway's, I like those fanmade Muto figures. If only they had articulation.
They are accurate they are 6 inches tall same size as a vinyl or SHMA, any bigger and they wouldn't scale with any 2014 figure. But damn though I was hoping we get a MUTO and I guess the Hatching Hero figures have been lost to us, at least we can still buy them from Japan.

Eh, I don't feel very much one way or the other for the new 12". It's exactly what it looks like; a rescaled version of the last G'14 vinyl.

That said, that figure was pretty nice, so I suppose this one should be, too.

That's one of the stupidest decisions i've seen, tbh. They didn't even release one to see how they would sell. Man I would've bought the whole line if they imported them.

Are the hatching heroes the egg figures?

I can see that being cancelled, the Pack of Destruction and Chibi figures didn't even see wide release when the movie came out, I saw POD in Target, never TRU around me, never saw a Chibi in any store, nor a place for them, and see the old ones peg warming at TRU.

They probably figure there's not much of a market here, especially over a year from the film's release.

As for the vinyl, I love the roaring up pose, the NECA's head joint doesn't allow for the posture, the 6" BC vinyl looked like that's what it would be but it isn't, it's a great pose and seems like the only collectible to depict it.

I'm not all that surprised the eggs aren't going to be released here. Like Gfan said, other 'gimmick' toys by BC have been serious pegwarmers, and even if they weren't, there isn't a huge market for transformers-but-not Godzilla toys. Maybe a more widely known franchise could have these figures, but Godzilla is too niche for something so one-off.

I assume you mean the Japanese movie next year?

I'd guess probably not, but you never know. If the movie does well enough in the States, maybe they'll at least make a Godzilla.

Some of Godzilla 2014 toys being shelf warmers. I think the only big hits were the Godzilla Atomic roar and the Tail strike.

They probably won't do as much as they did with G'14, but we'll still probably see a modest selection of Godzilla 2 merch from them.

Godzilla 2 is like, 3-4 years away and hasn't started production yet... they're probably not even considering it right now.

That's not really how it works in most cases. For example, you can make toys all day long if you want but if stores don't want to carry them, why make them? Stores don't want to carry merchandise that will sit on shelves when there are other hotter sellers out there.

A new Godzilla will be on store shelves in the fall of 2016 though. More on that when everything gets worked out.

So, if it gets a (big) release here, can we see a few toys for the 2016 movie from you guys?

Ah, no stores wanted to carry new G14 stuff, right? Specifically gimmick items, as it looks like they should be carrying 12 inch G14's eventually.
Cool about G16 though.

Just a hypothetical. It's all brands really. If you're out there as an established brand or have huge movie hype, you're gonna get shelf space. Godzilla needs more movies in theaters to help the brand out over here.

Yeah my Walmart never had jack for the longest time except some party cups. I eventually found the boxer shorts and they only just got the 6" Neca and the Scaler a few months ago. Even then there are only a handful and they're hidden up in the trading card section.
