You think? :P

Then why do I find it rather easy to detect?

Because sarcasm does not work without some indication of such like an emoticon or different font. It is not like you can hear the words in someone else's post, you read them.

As for this topic, I don't mind either way although I'm in favor of suitmation staying.

Sorry, Hulkie, let me clarify: I can usually detect sarcasm in other people's posts. A piece of writing carries a tone.

Just because you can detect sarcasm does not mean that others can as easily.
For me, I indicate sarcasm by the tone of the voice. Obviously, this is lost when reading something.

My only suggestion is that you read more satire. Tone is vital to written communication.

That does it! I want you all in my classroom on Monday. I'll add you to my roster of students. I start teaching at 9 a.m., so I suggest you get an early start that day, lest you get a tardy mark.

I can make an exception for cupcakes. A bit of a sugar rush might help to wake up the freshmen.

I'll have no more of this vile talk in my classroom. Now, let's get back to current events: which direction shall Toho take in future films? I agree with those who have said that motion capture is the best option.

'Ey! Mini-G said no more, man! Knock it off! :P

Anyways, I like tradition, but if need be, I wouldn't mind seeing the conversion to CGI. Either way, I'll still be a loyal fan.

I will lose a lot of my interest in these movies if they start using CGI exclusively to portray Godzilla.
Also, Japanese CGI kind of sucks most of the time.

And the SyFy channel has good CGI? :? I know Avatar is amazing CGI and all, but we still have our fair share of suckage too
