Shin Godzilla Merchandise

Post by Cookson »

So Warner Bros has their WBshop where you can buy official merchandise like mugs an tshirts. I'm assuming Toho has a similar site like this where you can buy similar things. I, like many others will surely want to buy this stuff. Does anyone know what site Toho use for their merchandise.

Didn't the merchandise give us the first look at MUTO?
Maybe it'll be our first glimpse of G16's monster(s) too.

Surely they'll have "Shin-Gojira"(in Japanese) shirts coming out? I don't know how Toho usely does these things.

Plot twist; they will, but they'll use the same image as those production mugs. :P

If a whole new movie won't get Tamashii to make a new SHMA Goji, I don't know what will...

SHMA G'16, NECA G'16, and X-Plus G'16. Also same for the other kaiju (if there are some).
If you have digital copy codes for movies you want to give away, I'll gladly take them! :)

Forget NECA, MonsterArts and X-Plus, I want some new damn vinyls in the Bandai line.

Speaking of Bandai vinyls Legion1979, what did you think of the recent Godzilla 2014 and Muto vinyls? Do you think any new vinyls will improve in quality and remain in the six inch scale?

That's what I'm talking about. Toho will probably do a similar amount of merch that came out for Godzilla 2014 maybe a little more.

Ah yes it is never complete without consumerism. Well I am sure we'll get the usual toys and comics. Hopefully we'll get a good video from this at least. It's unlikely but I will remain hopeful.

I very much consider TFA to be half-assed. What a generic film which only fed on nostalgia, it brought nothing new to the table.
That's not true. C3PO had a red arm.

X-Plus Shin Gojira confirmed.

KAIJU ADDICTS: Do you want to make an X-Plus figure of Shin Godzilla 2016?

GEE OKAMOTO: We weren’t able to obtain any significant details on this design yet. If we do get any advance information on it, it would come only slightly earlier than it would for the public. Either way, if we do plan to make a Shin Godzilla, it would come well after the movie is released. We need to be motivated to start development for this figure and that can only come after we see the movie.

They didn't confirm it just said they'd want to see the movie first, hadn't seen the design, and that if they make it the release won't be till after the movie

They'll just fuse them to the body.

I really hope that, if Bandai does make a vinyl, it's larger than six inches. I know it's probably an unpopular opinion, but I honestly don't like Bandai's decision to make figures in an increasingly smaller scale, and the "Movie Monster Series" is becoming less and less noteworthy to me, especially with the last couple of releases and reissues. They seem cheap and are not being on par with what they've done in the past. Especially with this design, I think reintroducing the 8 inch line would be an ideal choice, similar to what they did with GMK. Plus, it would make for a more detailed figure, especially with what the suit will probably look like.
