Vankor's art
So, I have barely done any drawing in the past few years, and I'm finally picking the pencil back up again. Sadly my Photoshop doesn't work now that I updated OS (Mac) so this pic is large. I will be posting various artwork here, might not all be Kaiju but will focus on that because well, it's TohoKingdom. New pics may not happen frequently either, because of my ridiculous schedule.
Anywho, without further ado, here is my newest drawing in years. I'm a bit rusty.

Woah.
That is some amazing work, right there.
Nice, shading too.
I presume that the picture in your avatar is also one of your sketches?

Re: Vankor's art
Your style reminds me of that of a comic series I once read. I can't remember the title.
In any case, it's good art.

Thanks Lazer. I'm finally posting the original pic of Vankor I mentioned before. It's not a Kaiju, but it's my own creation so I don't care.

May as well post something. Not a Kaiju, but another love of mine.

Beautiful work! Reminds me a bit of John Bindon's art.Vankor wrote:May as well post something. Not a Kaiju, but another love of mine.

Re: Vankor's art
Thanks MUTO. Like I mentioned in Lazer's thread, I need to sell off my kids (joking) so I can get back into things. Here's another for all of you. I'm working on some Kaiju stuff now, just some idea sketches, but Rodan is on my currently-working-on list.

Thanks M.U.T.O.
I am in need of a scanner badly, mine died awhile ago. These are some quick treatments of ideas for Rodan's head. The bottom one on the top picture is pretty radical, more like a Dimorphodon. Doesn't suit him well, just brainstorming.

Vankor: Renascence
But I must be a little critical. This is not your best work. Don't get me wrong, it's still impressive because you're an amazing artist, but this one falls short of what you're truly capable of.
EDIT:
Perhaps I was a tad bit too hasty to judge. I retract my comment. And I must apologize. This is a hell of a lot better than I could do. Sorry if I offended you.
Keep up the good work, man.

Re: Vankor's art
Lol it's no problem. Nope, the last post is not my best, but it was done with a pen on that vinyl/plastic stuff you put on tables. Not the best to draw on. But I was like "I'm going to have Godzilla blasting my frog guy, just because" and then just kept going with it. So not being able to erase is a big detriment. I'm working on a much better picture on illustration board and am going to bring it to G-Fest, after I have scanned it and posted it here.
