Ok I had to bump this topic as I was browsing netflix late last night and noticed an Animated film with this title (Wrath of the Titans). I added it to my instant que to watch, but haven't had the chance to even see any of it yet.

The description did say it was a sequel to "Clash" (which version they are inspired by I dont know...) But I just thought it was odd that an Animated verison would pop up if the live aciton one is over a year away still.

Anyone see or even hear of this? Just curious. I may not get time to sit and watch it until this weekend...

evidently this is a motion comic (not really animated), but it is based on the original 1981 film and came out back in March 2010. I have never been into motion comics, but I might give this one a try.

fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy)

Did I read that right? Bill Nighy The Science Guy!? Really? Well, he was Davy Jones so maybe this will work out for him. Also, yay for actual titans!

What annoyed me about the remake was the whole "hey, those Jinn are the only thing I find interesting in this... oh, okay, they're all dead now." segment in the middle of the film. And what an odd inclusion they were, you know, what with them not being in any way part of Greek mythology. The film was a glossy package with nothing inside. It was pretty to look at, but pointless.

Bill Nighy = Viktor (Underworld), Slartibartfast (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), Davy Jones (PotC2, 3)
Bill Nye = Science Guy

Trailer and Posters

http://www.411mania.com/movies/news/215492/

OK......The first film to me was OK, the monsters did look awesome but it had some real story problems (Zeus taking interest randomy in a son he never knew he had, the King dies while fighting Madusa and he's treated no different then his men). Needless to say, I wasn't excited about a sequel happening. After seeing the trailer......I'm actually really interested in this, it looks like it could be better.

I didn't mind the first one. It wasn't good, exactly, but it did what it needed to and kept me entertained. Got me into Greek mythology for a while, too. I'm sure the sequel will be worth a rental, at least.

I enjoyed Clash of the Titans. The original to me is boring and already had dated special effects for what it was. The remake is no masterpiece by any stretch but it's far more entertaining and at least it's up to date with special effects and all the other upgrades we've had since in cinema. The sequel could go either way. So far I don't plan on seeing it in theaters but we'll see.

^^ it's better then the 1971 version, JAG. The 71 version to me is muddled and disjointed and the acting is horrid. Im looking forward to it. I love Sam Worthington.
