No problem with a female Ghostbusters team, as long as their secretary is a guy.

Not a fan of the cast. I actually think Melissa McCarthy could be funny but she's been typecast as "female Adam Sandler" already. Maybe this movie is what she needs to break that aura. We'll see.

Has it been said whether this will be a total reboot, with the new female cast replacing the original? Or if this takes place in the same universe as the originals?

The claims so far are saying it's a complete reboot, with possible cameos from the original cast. I think they stopped thinking sequel after Harold Ramis passed on.

I always felt the Ghostbusters video game was Ghostbusters 3. Love that game.

If they go through with this we better get a lego video game with all 3 movies.

Lego has created the Ghostbuster's car.

The scary thing is. I know there's gonna be a crossover between this and the female ghostbusters and it's going to be the corniest thing ever. That is if either of these filns ever get made.

Yeah alright an all male Ghostbuster team! Take that feminism! We totally didn't have that with Ghostbusters 1 nor Ghostbusters 2! I mean the only female character was Weaver as the love interest and not part of the team... and the secretary...yeah...never had a full male Ghostbuster team.

I'm all for homoerotic Ghostbusters.

Considering the Russos are said to be the directors of Infinity War, I'm fairly surprised they have room in their schedule for a Ghostbusters movie. But a Ghostbusters movie from the directors of Winter Soldier? Yes please!

Can take or leave Tatum. Saw him in GI Joe, that's about it.

Good lord they really don't have a clue on what to do or how to handle this franchise do they? I don't have any issue with the female Ghostbusters or male Ghostbusters but come on... A prequel and then an Avengers style team up? I hope there just talking poop otherwise talk about desperate for a franchise....

If the all female cast film bombs, none of these other films will happen. An Chris Pratt is wanted for everything now a days

Partially indifferent to this reboot partially dreading it. The original was lightening in a bottle, something that couldn't be recaptured even for a sequel.

Doubt I'll give much more attention.

I must be one of the few that prefers Ghostbusters 2. Well other than my sister who also prefers the sequel. I'm that way with a lot of sequels. The Lost Word, Gremlins 2, Crocodile Dundee 2, Hellboy 2, Blade 2, Back to the Future 2, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, I could go on.

i liked them both, but i don't necessarly have a strong preference. either is good for me, and if i see it airing (it was on amc a few times like a month ago) ill sit and check it out. i agree with most of the sequels you listed as having the same effect on me.

I like the second one better myself.
