No different then ebirahsmeg1's extreme hatred towards GINO/Zilla/Shere Khan. We all just have our opinions.

Nice try kid, but you're overlooking several *big* differences:


- I don't EVER recall hijacking an entire thread (like you did back during issue 9 or 10 thread) and getting myself temped banned over such a matter.

-I never threw a temper tantrum and claimed "That's it, I'm done with ROE!" over one kaiju's appearance.

- GINO comes from one of the most panned, controversial films of the genre, while the Gargantuas come from what many consider to be one of the top 5 classic collaborations by Honda/Tsuburaya/Ifukube.

- I honestly couldn't care less what your Kaiju preferences are (I usually just skip right over your posts as I'm not interested in arguing the merits of kaiju with kids that have little interest in seriously learning about the history of the genre ), but *at least* I've actually seen the films GINO is in before deciding if I like/hate it....

Now stop trying to excuse/justify your past behavior regarding the Gargantuas in ROE and drop it already...

LSD Jellyfish: I just don't think the Gargantuas are monsters. There way to human looking and destroy the illusion of giant monsters for me. Thats why I don't like them at all, plus they defeated godzilla. .. which i don't understand or get at all. Godzilla is extremely powerful, and was brought down to his knees by a combination of fire to his eyes ( by the way this is the same monster that lived inside a volcano) a small cut, and some sonic weapons which don't have a much effect on him. To me this was just poor and lazy writing, and that almost got me to drop the book entirely. Those are the main reasons why i don't like the Gargantuas.

So the reason you hate the Gargantuas is because they are too Human looking.. I guess you hate King Kong as well, and just because the Gargantuas, were somewhat weak in their original movie, doesn't mean they couldn't be made stronger in another series, but yeah I guess your right it's totally impossible I mean there is no way for no way any Kaiju to be increased in strength or decreased in strength

Zilla had no real chance against Godzilla, and that wasn't the real King Ghidorah. It was a different interpretation that wasn't popular among fans. IDW had to use the monsters from the movies and aren't allowed to be different from them, so yeah the Gargantuas are little and weak, but can beat Godzilla and probably the whole invasion
King Kong is a Ape. His ok, but I'm not a fan of him ether.

I just don't like them at all. There pathetic and ugly and don't see anybody but the ROE team using them.

In an attempt to be on-topic - I'm dying to read the next issue for so many reasons. After rereading this one again I can't help but like it more and more, this story arc is great so far. I'm happy the wait for the next one isn't going to be that long due to the delay.

I mean forget all the times G has been beaten by Mothra or Kiryu or any other monster. Godzilla is unstoppable nothing can beat him, he is the most awesome and most powerful monster ever, he is even more powerful than Chuck Noris. no he is even stronger he is 10 times more powerful than Bagan, no he is 50 million times stronger he only allows himself to be beaten by other monsters to be nice. I mean this is just absolute bullshit I am done with IDW forever.

I'm not talking about any other monster. I'm talking about the Gargantuas who apparently could beat a monster that hardly had any trouble defeating some of the most powerful kaiju known to history, and has one of the greatest healing factors ever, but got beat by the weakest , and nobody, and i mean nobody has no problem with that whatsoever. They accept it, and even praise how inconsistent that truly is just, became it was the Gargantuas.

I know all the defeats Godzilla had, and don't see a real problem with any of them, because they all had a good reason. Unlike what they did on ROE

Oh, and Zilla would have lost if he got hit by a atomic breath. That's why he had to avoid his breath weapon, just like the Gargantuas had to avoid it.

If the Gargantuas don't kill all the Trilapods on the island, then i don't see how they could even beat the King himself. Its just inconsistent, and just stupid to see. Rodan and some of the others got beat like they were nothing, but not the Gargantuas. There just fine and dandy, and i got a real problem with that.

Reminds me of a more potent Orga but with the ability to selectively choose the best DNA qualities of their victims. Super cool!

Going to try and run to the comic store today or tomorrow to pick up issue 21, hopefully I can score that variant cover. Issue 20 made me nearly throw down the comic with that hook of an ending. Anxious to see how they follow that up with.

You realize most of them were defeated off screen, you have no idea what happened in their fights, or how long it took for them to be beaten.

Anything with SpaceGodzilla as the Cliffhanger > all other I'm very bias towards my favorite. In all seriousness, good to see them returning. I can't help but wonder what happened with MKG, but that's a topic for another day.

VERY pleased with the issue. Worth the 30 minute walk to the shop My favorite part for me, other then seeing SpaceGodzilla's various serious faces, was the interaction with Rhizon and the Emperor (Name keeps escaping me)

You realize most of them were defeated off screen, you have no idea what happened in their fights, or how long it took for them to be beaten.

They were beaten easily and i bet in issue 24 its the Gargantuas that save Godzilla because he couldn't do it. Seriously hope that's not the case and hope they lose already, because I'm tired of seeing them have way to much page time that could have been spent on better monsters.

Because the Cryog leader knew that the Trilapods would beat the earth monsters without any real problem. Except the Gargantuas of course.

I hope they aren't in any more issues, and if they have to then a single panel. They seriously had enough page time for them.

Excited to see how this ends. I will admit, I haven't been keeping up as I should. Need to finish the previous arc but I am glad the majority of the conversations about ROE are about how its a great series which I can agree with.

Next person to type a word or reference anything related to "Gargantuas"/any other monster and how they are being misrepresented or continue this relatively pointless debate will get a warning. Now, BACK ON TOPIC!
