Yes! I regularly listen to the Earth theme. It holds a lot of nostalgia and to me is just cheerful.1tisoygoji wrote: Anyone else dig the game's OST? I love the Saturn theme.

Awesome rips! I guess perhaps rodan's attack sprites were never completed as well and he just kinda swayed from side to side...which is odd I guess
Still its very cool to see it and I like that he is red.
Also GMOM's music is the best. Probably the most memorable on NES than any other game for me

Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
I came across a really weird code that is actually entered into the password screen in the game. From Glitch Raptor on the SMWCentral Forum:
It actually seems to work for me. Pressing Select gives you a gameover.Password:
1: type x y (instert letter or number here)(with spaces) in password screen and press end
2: press select, it will bring game over screen insteard of cell password
3: press "last game"

Imagine if GMOM was as cryptic as Metroid...man Godzilla would have been so much more complicated. I think the closet we have got to a complicated Godzilla game is Super Godzilla, and that's actually pretty simple once you figure it outCaptainStarbird wrote:Just like some passwords from other games I've played...Beef Bigshot wrote:In this case if you want to end the game before you even play!

The code "X Y C" will take you here:
The Japanese version actually allows you to play a level when using this cheat, however, in the video the game crashed because for whatever reason the game wanted me to play as Ghidorah(KINGGIDRAH), which crashes the game.
EDIT: I can't get the level to work anymore, but I already recorded it anyway so I'll post it on Youtube.

Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
This one is interesting because it doesn't work in the Japanese version(it will reset).
I was playing around with a code that allowed Godzilla to move unlimited spaces(emulator cheat) and it kept asking me if I wanted to fight some kaiju. Choosing yes or no didn't do anything. Eventually the screen shifted and I saw the Mars board(I think it was Mars anyway) with the Earth board color.
EDIT: Here's a list of all the X Y cheats:

Wait, does this mean we were originally going to be able to play as King Ghidorah as well as Anguirus and Rodan? The Godzilla King wrote:The code "X Y C" will take you here:

It's possible.Gojira tai Mosura wrote: Wait, does this mean we were originally going to be able to play as King Ghidorah as well as Anguirus and Rodan?
Seriously?
Here's a value list for all playable kaiju and enemy kaiju:
Spoiler:
Replace the # with any number from 0-9 and A-B. I can guarantee the only ones who'll work are Godzilla, Mothra, and Angilas.
It's likely just the game loading the 04 value for some reason instead of the 00 value. However, the enemy changer code(lets you choose what kaiju you want to fight) uses different values, which suggest values 04-0B are all scrapped, playable versions of the enemy kaiju. I find this unlikely unless the developers were gonna have secret passwords leading to a level where you control the enemy kaiju instead.
Anyway, I tried playing as Rodan and this was the result:

So was he going to be blue and orange? Or is that just the game being glitchy?

I have a playlist of all the "X Y" codes: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... AAhbng62t6
Also there's this glitch:
But if you really want to see glitches, just open the Hex Editor in FCEUX and go into PPU mode and start typing random stuff, eventually the graphics will start messing up.
