The past few games still sold great because of the fans. The new MK game has hype with both fans and non-fans as well. Ed said he still wants do a crossover with SF, but for now, I think Capcom wants do a crossover with something that can sell great in both Japan and the US.

Doesn't compare to Tekken's success or respect it has from fighting community, and I don't mean gaming, but real fighting community has respect for the Tekken series for it's portrayal of fighting styles, at first wasn't that accurate but with time has been refined.

I mean, c'mon, the fatalities that Magneto, Deadpool, Wolverine, and a whole SLEW of others could pull off over bullshit "brutalities" of DC warrant a Marvel/MK crossover.

Now I'll admit I would like to see that but... well you saw what I said in the past how it would be a bad idea, marketing wise and not to mention Disney owns Marvel too.

Disney has no control on what Marvel does with their comics and other media. Nothing is stoping them from making more Punisher and Wolverine comics. Disney also owns Touchstone pictures, they have released R rated movies before.

People like act if Dinsey was the main reason why the Punisher was not in MVC3. He was not in it because Capcom thought his move set would be too similar to Chris.

I agree with Gigan X3, MK fell off bad. Hopefully this reboot puts it back in the top 2....but if you've seen one fatality, you've seen them all.

Indeed, Disney owned Miramax from 1993 to 2010 and they're who gave us Pulp Fiction. Disney has final say in what comes out but they're NOT afraid at all to release this kinds of contents. Miramax also distributed the Scary Movies 1-3, so yeah.

No, the problem would be it would be a bad publicity move and it would hurt sales. Why? Well, as I said in the MK vs SF topic one stupid mother will see spider-man or possibly wolverine(seeing how he's a big deal on SHS) and think little billy will enjoy it without looking at the rating. Mother sees little billy impale some, rages, summons forth the soccer mom avengers, and thus controversy.

They can however, Put Darker characters in, Like Dormammu, Punisher, Carnage and Shuma Gorath and Blade, Soccer Moms wouldn't be that much of a problem with those.

Ha, well granted from what mugen has showed me some darkstalkers do show a bit of blood(the CVS or SVC version of Vampire Superman has a detachable arm that's one bloody flesh strings) but they wouldn't go all out with the capcom series. They wouldn't have like buckets upon buckets of blood spill when they do those moves, unlike MK.

There's buckets upon buckets of blood in Dark Stalkers and background stages more dark and scarier than Mortal Kombat's. Capcom's not shy of violence at all, ask Resident Evil, they COULD make an over the top violent fighting game like they used to with Darkstalkers and to an extent, Jojo's BIzarre adventure, that when you KO'ed the characters in a special fashion, a picture of them throwing up blood among other things would come out.

You should play the real Darkstalkers besides downloading the characters in mugen to see what I mean

However, this would mean nothing in Marvel Vs. Mortal Kombat as Capcom would take no part of it
