"Dragonwars" = German ripoff?

I stumbled across this after searching for Google images. According to one of the people who posted in this thread on another site, it's not even a Godzilla movie.

The DVD-Cover shows Godzilla 2000, but in the Film it is NOT Godzilla, thnx for Help...:)

I find it interesting. This isn't the weirdest thing I've come across, but it's weird nonetheless. :eh:

It's not unusual for a publisher to Google images and make a DVD cover for a bargain bin wonder.

Um...can't see the picture.

However, I have a hunch about this thing. I've got a German DVD called Dragonwars - Krieg der Monster, and the cover has got the Heisei Godzilla on the front and the rose form of Biollante on the back, but the actual movie on the disc is Gamera vs. Barugon.

Wow. GERMANY, YOU COULDN'T JUST STOP AT CALLING GODZILLA KING KONG OR FRANKENSTEIN, COULD YOU? I mean, it's Gamera, with pictures of Godzilla, and a title talking about dragons... WTF?

Yes, but not "Dragonwars", which was said to lack Godzilla period despite his face on the cover.

If you care to scroll up a few posts, you'll see that I said the actual movie on the DVD is Gamera vs. Barugon, the German-dubbed version to be exact.

Showa Gyaos, use logic.

Dragonwars is the German dub of Gamera vs Barugon with Godzilla on the cover. If youve seen Gamera vs. Barugon, then youve seen Dragonwars.

I bet the German version of D-War is really Godzilla vs. Megalon with Gamera on the cover.

And it's called Frankenstein meets King Kong.

That would be the best movie ever. Except it's just Godzilla vs. Megalon.

Goddamnit Germany.

Lies. No Nazi would allow such blatant misrepresentation.

Actually the title has something to do with King Kong and Superman.

That's what I've been saying this entire time, dammit! -_-

He asked if I had seen Gamera vs. Barugon, and he asked the question as if I had seen the movie that this topic was about (which I didn't). But I have seen Gamera vs. Barugon; it was my first Gamera movie, as a matter of fact.
